I should've known this album was just a ploy to get more Facebook Likes!

I only wish I would've gotten to speak to djp and shake his hand in person at MAGFest. If it weren't for OCR, I don't think my love of VGM would have really become a huge part of my life, and I wouldn't have started Nitro Game Injection as an outlet to show my appreciation and to have as a venue which has put me in contact with so many talented musicians and other people that I consider to be some of my greatest friends. I know I have been critical on occasion, but I really do love this place and the continued contributions in making video games a real force in the music world.

Every time I think about OCR vs. production values and chiptunes, this song comes to mind. Granted, it is a very old example from 2003, but even at that time the standards were typically higher for production (which is mentioned in the write-up.) However, BottledMetro is allowed to continue to be on the site due to its creative and enjoyable arrangement, and I feel that there are a number of chiptune remixes that fit within the same criteria, like Espergirl. It's hard to know where the line should be between production and arrangement, but there's been precedence where the lack of one can counteract the other.

How cute that you're all still under the belief that this album is real.

I have a feeling that if OCR posted some Shnabubula, virt, or Rushjet chiptune arrangements, those poor kids on YouTube that take OCR as the be-all end-all of game music remixes would have their minds outright BLOWN and their faces MELTED.

Yeah, ToaD took almost a decade. Milkyway Wishes holds the record for longest development time of an active project right now, though.
