  1. Whew, that's good. My work currently left me with not much time and even less creativity, so my progress has been much slower than I thought
  2. For me it was the Needle Man theme from Mega Man II
  3. You're welcome Concerning the composers which inspire me to make music are Yasunori Mitsuda, Nobuo Uematsu, Noriyuki Iwadare, Hiroki Kikuta and the long list of Mega Man (X) composers. Bands are not that important, at least as long as I don't learn to play the guitar and learn to write metal
  4. Well actually, the style I'm mostly aiming for is actually inspired by two OCR greats, namely bLiNd and Flexstyle
  5. Definitely! If you can live with japanese lyrics, you can always check out Concerto Moon and Galneryus And if you want it to be more epic, check out Rhapsody (of Fire) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RV11efpnfM
  6. Well, I'm mainly Power Metal listener, so of course I'll recommend Edguy (and not just because they're from my hometown) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrfNe57cxNA
  7. Yeah sorry, I figured it out myself and didn't think Ivan would see it before I deleted my question
  8. Oh damn, should have read the whole thread. Well, I'll keep it anyways, and submit it to the WIP forum eventually Ok, might have something in mind
  9. Nice, now I have a bit more time to work, but I will send something before that deadline so you can decide if my WIP is even good enough to be considered. It's the Neclord Battle from Suikoden II (which only has one remix so far)
  10. BTW, would Star Ocean 2 be eligible, it doesn't have that many mixes, and most of them are "Theme of Rena"? Ok, I admit, asking one week before the deadline is pretty short
  11. First of all. Happy Birthday. Well, Bravely Default is a must have, it has a great storyline (which can become cumbersome later on, but it's not that problematic), but of all the 3DS RPGs I played until now, this was the most capturing. A Link Between Worlds has a real LttP feel and some areas really benefit from the added 3D effect (the inside of the volcano!!!), but it's a bit short. Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers is ok, I've not yet played through it, because I didn't have the right mindset for it. Unfortunately the release of SMTIV was totally delayed in Europe so I haven't bought it yet, because of that. Like AngelCityOutlaw said, Fire Emblem is a must. Additionally I can recommend Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, if you like games like this
  12. YamiNoKeshin came from a very dark part of my life, but it still stuck. The short form I use (if I can) is Yami and that's even the nickname most of my friends call me
  13. Damn, I honestly expected an extension. I had started something, my first idea in months Whatever, I'll just vote
  14. I'm not sure if I can make it, the last weeks were too stressful and I have to work tomorrow. Too bad, I really liked my concept (Ground Man crossed with the Deku Temple of Majora's Mask with a dash of Needle Man) and I will keep it nontheless. Perhaps I can make it, at least I'll try
  15. Ok, that's strange. You said you tried the demo, which should be the latest version. I have 11 something 64bit and there it is. Look
  16. It's directly in the first tab "Settings", the last point under "Visual" At least it's there in my settings tab
  17. Go to the gear symbol of the Fruity Wrapper (the one where you can set options of VSTs) and try to enable DPI aware, this might help
  18. I had a rough idea, but not enough time to make anything coherent, and I don't think I can make it till tonight.
  19. I just downloaded the Bitwig demo, I totally forgot it wasn't in development any more, perhaps I can try it out in the next few days
  20. Wait, what? Hateful? Why did you come to this impression?
  21. I started with FL Studio and have since tried out Ableton Live, Logic and Cubase AI. Well, the only one I really could work with other than FL was Ableton and I'm currently considering trying it out once more, even if the MIDI editing was not as good as FL's. Logic wasn't bad, but since I don't have a Mac and using a VM for a DAW is tricky at best, I've never really gotten into it. Cubase is not bad either, but AI is too basic for my needs. But Neblix is right, Automation in FL Studio is a real PITA
  22. Oh yes, that's my absolute favorite, but it's still pretty much their normal style @AngelCityOutlaw: You're right, but some tracks of Space Police remind me of Hellfire Club And it's nice to see some Edguy love here
  23. Edguy is a power metal band from my hometown (but they are pretty well known world-wide) and they often have a not-that-serious song on their albums, but this one is an exception because it's a "country" song
