  1. It isn't that's true, but the only source I really like is already taken (of course by Brandon ) and all the other tracks didn't click
  2. I might have an idea for Room of Close Associates, but I'm not yet sure if I can pull it off. 6/8 is not my strong time signature
  3. Damn, I'm so looking forward to Simon's Theme, that's my favorite Perhaps I'll find a track too, I could do a WIP for an audition Edit: Do organs count?
  4. I was able to listen to this just now, and damn, it's good. I had a everything-will-be-fine track before, it was the WIP(s) of Cruisin, but this one could possibly replace it
  5. Yeah, I know this, I started remixing 4 years ago, I still feel like a newb, even if I have improved (which I definitely have), and I know I still have so much to learn. But I agree with timaeus, you know what you're doing
  6. My first entry of the rRPC was supposed to be electronic, it ended up being jazzy
  7. I think that's pretty cool, it happens to me most of the time, I start a mix with a goal and in the end it's totally different. I think that makes you able to feel the flow of music a bit (yeah romanticized statement, I know)
  8. Interesting coincidence I just thought about the same things a few days ago. Well, I think it doesn't matter that much if you finish a lot or not. I publish 1/10th of my WIPs at most, and even from that most of them never get finished in a timely manner. I think it helps to put it back and come back at a later time. Considering dynamic arrangements, well that's one of my main problems as well Like I said in a different thread, I think I'm not half as talented as most of the guys and girls here, but I still keep making music, because it's fun, and that what it's supposed to be
  9. Yeah Bad Pun Title!! Hey, let's make a deal, I'll make a mix with the worst pun I can think of, and you let it pass Ok, jokes aside, I really think it's a great idea, to get the backlog thinned out, can't wait for the next floods
  10. OMG yes!!! Finally. Yeah, I still know both WIP versions, I had them as a waking alarm on my phone, yes both of them, the second one replaced the first one and I currently have it on my SD card for my car as well (where only recently acquired music or my all-time favorites are). And my first post was a comment on the first WIP, so yes, I waited for it to show up on here, and finally it's there! I know I sound crazily fanboyish, but I really like CC and I like Ivan's style, so... I hope he will someday direct a CC album for OCR (and I hope I might be ready until then to be featured on it)
  11. Well after nearly two months without my headphones I just had to start something after I had some inspiration and I got hooked of two of my favorite themes. Luckily yesterday my headphones arrived, so I could go on. It's supposed to be a harder style of 90 trance except for the drums, which I honestly don't know what genre they are and if they really fit... And somehow it reminds me of the UT99 soundtrack, or actually it reminds me of a very special time in my life, but this time special is a really dark special, but I don't know why it reminds me of that time... 12. Interesting source, perhaps I'll have time to do something for it, but not before I finish my Needle Man/Magma Dragoon mix I started. For those of you who know (might be just evktalo, but whatever) yes, I've finally got my headphones back.
  13. Well, I still need to wait for my next payment, then my headphones can be repaired.

  14. Well, I won't be entering either, I wanted to finish my work, but while I was talking a walk, one of my cats chewed through the cables of my headphones, this means I wont be making music anytime soon
  15. Yeah, but it seldom happens to me, at least not in that short period of time
  16. Man I hate it when I have multiple ideas, and don't know which one to pursue...
  17. Well, I have a bit of knowledge of digital circuits and digital sound processing, but I've never done any sound creation only conversion etc in embedded systems. But it would be interesting to use an arduino for a synth, perhaps I'll read a bit about it when I have time.
  18. It is obscure, but I owned a copy of the GB version as a child. But don't ask me how I got it, I honestly don't know
  19. Illusion of Gaia, the game I play on my birthday nearly every year. Damn, I hope I find time to make something of it. And of course, get well soon
  20. Yeah Quarth, interesting game and a fun soundtrack. The arrangement is pretty solid, except for the end, which is a bit too aprupt. I currently can't really comment on the soundscape because I only have my internal laptop speakers available, but the drums might be a bit to silent for that style, but just a little bit
  21. Yeah, I noticed that too. Well I'm not against that source, but let's see what Bundeslang decides (even if he didn't notice as well)
  22. Wait wait wait... I think I remember it being a source for a PRC, it might have been my first one, but I remember doing a mix for it. But it's my favorite from Castlevania 3, so I'll make something with a >90% chance. Edit: Yes it was a source and it was my first PRC, PRC214 @evktalo: Please enter, I still have a close score to settle
  23. Well, I'm still in a learning process, and if I manage to make something halfway decent I might share it with closer friends (some of them make music themselves), and with the workshop forums. Ok, I have some followers on my soundcloud who might stumble across what I've done as well... But of all maybe 10 things I make I only share 1, so the quota is rather thin, but the ones which I think are decent, I mostly like myself
