Because I'm going to take this time to whore myself out (it's electronica / orchestra, but it's worth a shot I think) But, if you want something REALLY good ambient electronic, then you're going to want to start off with this: I mean seriously, that song is exactly what you're looking for.

This sounds awesome. That little backwards whip that comes in at places like :53 with the rev cymbal is weird, but it sounds like some kind of reference to the game or something. Haven't played it in a while so am probably wrong on that. Nice work! : D

That could be the harp, it was kind of distracting and honestly hurting my ears on my headphones now that I listened to it more. Gonna try and master it a bit better. Also good comment on the ending, I didn't think that it really interfered with the atmosphere of the song too much. I'm going to see about trying different things for it. thanks for the feedback!

**Just so there's no confusion, this song was originally called "Flying with You", but it was changed in order to fit on my new EP. No reason not to post this here I guess - still have about 1 week before I can submit anything to OCR, so wanna go ahead and get some last minute feedback before I sub this one. Did it for the Sonic Zone Remix Competition. Sources: (plays until :47 in video. It's the harp pattern in the remix - usage of this was completely unintentional, after about half way through the song when I realized I was using it, I decided to keep it though, just because it sounded good)Remix: https://www.box.com/s/tv73v60gxmpdowq6o5zn this one by my standard is super liberal. I pretty much only use the riff from :19-:26 of the second source, and the main riff of sky chase zone along with the chords from that song. Yeah, super liberal, but the sources are still noticable - so there's that. Please comment if you notice anything about the production, or think arrangement needs to be changed up at all. Don't plan on putting this up for mod review - this is my comfort zone in music and I don't feel like I need in-depth critics at this point. edit: oh yeah, I know the reverb on the main synth used in the chorus may be a little odd compared to the rest of the instruments, but it was all intentional. I wanted the melody to be drowned out in the song, it gives a cool feel IMO. oh yeah, also i put another source in

Did myself a favor and went ahead and got both the Carpe Fulgur collection and LIMBO. I might purchase more come Friday if anything good comes up. edit: Playing Limbo already. It frightens the piss out of me. Love it. : D

Dang, I would have LOVED to have been a part of this one, but seeing as I'm going to be in New York for like, 3 weeks soon, I probably won't have time (or the resources unless I can take my computer). But I loved the last one so much, can't wait to see how everyone does on this one. MM makes some of the most remixable music.

Well, if you google it then you should have absolutely no problem with finding the tabs for them, as long as they aren't like super obscure of course. The only thing is that most of the video game tabs out there only have the melodies and not the chords, so that can be a bother.

This album is still awesome. I freaking love it : D One of my favorite electronic albums on my playlist atm. I really hope I can one day be HALF as good as you when it comes to sound design, halc. Most every sound you used would sound good enough on its own, that's when you know there's some dedication involved in making sure absolutely everything sounded good. Absolutely nothing cheesy or out of place at all. The songs have little knicknacks put in that tickle my ears : D especially in the car. The songs don't just sound good, they feel good. Higher Reasoning is my personal favorite so far. I know you've probably moved onto bigger and better things with the release of Hydrocity and all but atm I'm gonna go ahead put this album down as the best chiptune album out there. Keep up the good work.

Bring it on. That's just more of a reason to dedicate myself to something and actually do it. edit: oh yeah I'd like to clarify on something: at a certain point, this kind of stuff does fall under the whole science with rockets thing, but we're assuming angelcityoutlaw has experience with music and the tools necessary to acutally create the music.

I'm with Zircon and WillRock on this. This applies to a lot of things in life IMO. Unless it's science with rockets, or requires some sort of major degree/beforehand knowledge, it doesn't hurt to at least try something. I'm a human being; I can learn anything and just as fast as anybody else could.

Not that I'm jumping on a "hail OCR they're never wrong" bandwagon if one even exists, but I doubt they'd do something that douchey. That's not even douchey in fact. That's just mean. But OCR has proven themselves to be good people in the past, IMO.

If OCR gets enough money, they should treat everyone to some KFC. Especially those that might live in the south *wink wink*

You can actuallly blame me for that. I misread it - for about 20 minutes or so I had been thinking that Sakurai smash bros company had renamed itself to Project Sora in 2009 or whatever. But that's just another studio that Sakurai headed up besides Hal Laboratory? Or most likely it's the only studio he's ever headed up and Hal is just something on its own completely. Still. My mistake. I'm just now starting to learn the effects of massive amounts of caffeine on my brain this late at night - not so good. edit: OK, now I finally get it. Sora and Project Sora are completely different studios. Thanks gtahater for clearing that up.
