I remember being really surprised by Hakstock's entry. Despite the fact that it was pretty piercing frequency wise, I really dug the overall song. Magellanic vs AkumajoBelmont round was by far the hardest round IMO. Both really good tracks in that round.

Nah, that was pretty much my fault there. After starting from scratch like four times, I had to realize my original idea was pretty much my best bet. Lol. I think I came out with a pretty good track though. But if your track is anywhere as awesome as your DKC2 Hot Head Bop remix then I'm going to have hard time getting votes.

So I'm probably only going to have one hour left to try and get this song done. And I only just finished arranging it yesterday night. Eek I'll be sending it in soon. Hopefully. edit: and that's all I'm gonna do to it. sent. Good luck to AMT. You probably won't need it.

Kind of trying something new with the arrangement I have going here.. that will either be a good thing or my downfall in this compo. Hopefully I can at least put up a good fight if anything I also need to get the rest of my votes in.. hopefully tomorrow.

I tried searching, and couldn't find anything right off the bat, so I'm just curious - what is OCR's policy on remixes of Visual Novels/Eroge titles? I'm not completely sure if they classify as actual games, and I haven't seen one on OCR yet, so yeah. Just curious.

I love this entire EP. Centerpoint is probably my favorite after listening to the whole thing. <3 Chiptune. Subtlety is epic too. I love the chillness mixed with the chatoic dub. The rhythms and fills you've created here are top notch when placed by all your other stuff. Another reason I like Centerpoint. This whole EP is top notch. Just gotta be true here, I think a lot of people could learn from your ability to create chord progressions and harmonies. I could especially. Everyone on OCR should be doing themselves a service by downloading this EP right nao.

A song I did a while back while trying to explore the chillout genre. To be completely honest this is not the best thing I've ever done. I mostly blame the drum samples since I didn't have anything I really wanted to , but also I think I kind of rushed it towards the end. Maybe. Ok, this probably has people asking for piano samples all the time.. but here's another one. Would anybody know where to find a good quality sample that has a similar tone to the one used in a lot of FELT songs (a Touhou arrangement circle) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvlEKFQ-MKA I'm pretty sure it's a keyboard, hopefully a fairly popular one. I'd love to find the sample set/soundfont from this keyboard. Also free or maybe cheap would be nice. But whatever you guys have to recommend.

If something like a remix project for the game were to happen (probably not, but if so) I'd totally freaking do a remix for it almost instantly. I love Smash Bros, Smashboards, and Melee. I might actually start going to some Project M tournaments around Atlanta if any are held. Haven't touched the games in a while, but I love playing competitively in community with other people much more than online (since none of my friends would probably be willing to play something like this.) Can't wait for this to be released. Good luck smashboards/allisbrawl/whoever else involved in this.

the grimdark was so unexpected, even for me since i didnt know anything about magical girl series and stuff. just thought it was going to end up being cute girls doing cute magical things with some abstract stuff thrown in there. but dark plots are always interesting. i almost cried like a baby, and thats crazy since i didnt cry at all during clannad shaft is awesome though, just about to finish up pani poni dash today. then onto the hidamari sketch series. so much moe so little time.

Why haven't I posted yet? Just wanted to come in to say this EP is the coolest thing ever. "Watch Where You're Going" is my favorite off of it. It's a pretty insane song, I feel like I could do 200 pushups while listening to it. If you like doing things like sky diving, climbing Mt. Everest, and making sweet sweet love to your MP3 player, all at the same time, then I would recommend downloading this.

I didn't even know magical girl was a genre of anime before I watched this show. Loved the show, love anime now that I've started watching it more, but I'm not really used to how absolutely strange Japan is sometimes.

Really excited for this competition. The source I chose while not my favorite sonic song fits my style, so I can't wait to mix it with other completely different songs. More than anything I'm excited for all the music to come out of this. I wish everyone luck in this competition. And bring it on

Probably coming up with a good chord progression. that's the hardest thing at least. i also have the same issue as rozovian. its really discouraging to not finish a track. its usually because i just dont like the song. I think once I truly find a style / set of instruments I can really connect myself too, it won't be as much of an issue. I'm still searching though. all the time trying new things.

why funnily enough I just marathoned Madoka Magica 2 days ago. I was hooked, so from like, 5pm to 2am I was watching it almost non-stop. I honestly haven't watched much anime besides a few classics and mostly newer stuff, but this is probably without a doubt one of my favorite anime as of now. Close to Nichijou. It messed with my mind man. I seriously did not expect it to be the kind of show it was. I kind of watched it blind to what I was supposed to expect, but it was awesome. edit: also not trying to change topics or anything, just wanted to brag about how awesome madoka was really quick

I'll post a real review. I really do love this song. IMO this is probably the mark where you really started definitely developing your current style in remixing / music in general (but even then you've changed so much) Maybe the whips memory did too, but this is definitely close to your newer house stuff. I absolutely love this song because I'm a sucker for long, drawn out slides on synths built into the melody. The ambience at 2:23 was awesome of course, and the drop afterwards was absolutely epic. Seemed like the song was going to end for a second, and it came back full throttle. Very cool. The ending was kind of funky which I really liked. This should be an insta download for any electro fans. It's super catchy, and just "cool". Yeah that's the only word I can think of.
