Don't know if this is "working as intended" or not, but certain mascots under a specific category do not have clickable mascot images on the category page, nor do they have any labels on the page to let the uninformed know the identity of the characters without hunting through the entire OCR mascot list. God I sound like a terms and conditions writer

Confirmed. Yes, you're going crazy, but this isn't the proof of it.

I'm not going to lie, the change in the subforum arrangement really threw me for a loop when I logged in tonight. Took me awhile to find my way around again... I will say I do like the rearrangement. Now to see if there's any bugs lying around!

ok, this thing is seriously cool. Now to actually figure out how to properly use it... Thanks for the find Nase!

ReMixing With the Stars: Season 2 Finale: Rising Stars
Anorax replied to MindWanderer's topic in Competitions
Oh sweet jesus what have you cooked up for this finale? I'd sign up but it looks like I've got to pick my source from the get-go and I haven't thought that far yet -

Bless you HoboKa, bless you. I would have made a bonus mix for this round if I had had the time, but I hadn't. Wish I had though. -
(Round 4 Mixing) OCR SINGING IDOL!!!!! The OCR Singing Competition
Anorax replied to WillRock's topic in Competitions
Jesus Christ what happened in this thread today? Wait, nevermind, I don't wanna know. So Willrock, does this mean that late-joining participants aren't really in the "competition" part of this? Which I'm ok with because there's no realistic way I could have won if I tried from the get-go, just want clarification -
The Music Software Deals thread

gotta have kontakt first before you can get the crossgrade to Komplete. Basically you're buying Komplete for the price of Kontakt over the course of six months -
The Music Software Deals thread
Anorax replied to big giant circles's topic in Music Composition & Production
Unfortunately I can't answer that question as I myself don't know, but you can always shoot for a black friday half-off sale or something. I guess the only thing I could do is sign up for their email newsletters and be informed that way because, again, I don't know. someday, kontakt... someday... -
The Music Software Deals thread

I think that anything that can be imported as a kontakt library in the library tab can be played in the kontakt player. Otherwise you need the full version. -
The Music Software Deals thread
Anorax replied to big giant circles's topic in Music Composition & Production
I suggest you grab kontakt during a sale, because a large portion of impact soundworks' [and many other sample bundle producers'] stuff needs the full version (thanks to the "demo mode" in the kontakt player). or, you know, warez versions work too. Not advised obviously, but hey, it's technically an option Also, this is another awesome deal that I'd love to pounce on if I had the money. Unfortunately I don't know if my paycheck will arrive in time -

damn, wish I had had time this week to participate. Does not participating in the opening round disqualify you from further participation? -
To me the entire song - and most significantly, the intro - feels very stuffy (I think it has to do with the rhythm guitars). You may want to open up the higher frequencies or cut back on the lower ones, preferably the latter. If you have a spectrometer available, you may want to pull it out here to see where the strongest frequencies are located - my guess in the low to mid-low range. At 1:50(ish), it sounds much more open, but could still use some bass reduction. I'm also throwing this in, even though it probably doesn't need stating - sans the break in the middle and the intro+outro, your mix is rather repetitive and could use some variation, both with instrumentation and note arrangement during the more repetitive parts

I feel like I'm watching a drug deal or something. Don't mind me, carry on.

There's a file error with the MIDI link. EDIT: Seems to be an error on ThaSauce's end, at least it does on my machine. Anyone care to confirm/deny? -

This is basically what I've been doing, just sitting here and leeching off you guys' hard work -
All day erry day. Actually I was wanting to actually look through the workshop forums and listen to – and critique on – work-in-progress remixes, while focusing more on mixes that haven't really been commented on (because let's face it, people wouldn't be posting here if they didn't want feedback). I'll admit I'm focusing more on games I'm more familiar with first. So, I guess I'm technically bumping the threads, but while that may be the result, it's not my intention. (I also like the "Get dirty with your DAW" line.) I'm glad you mentioned the arps Skrypnyk, because it's something I didn't mention but was thinking about. I'll pop it into an edit on my first post though.
