  1. Zebralette is the smaller brother of Zebra and ive used it in almost every remix ive done. I just love the way it sounds on certain leads or pads. Its also free.
  2. Its just that ableton is picky about how it handles midis sometimes, so i sometimes shop around for different ones. not too big of a deal, just means i have to spend more time chopping it up. Dont worry too much about it though Gercr just thought id ask around, ill try that other midi
  3. Thanks Eino! I recently discovered that alot of my problem was lack of knowledge and a lack of tidy workflow habits. If i walked away from a remix for a week or two, i could never figure out what was going on when i came back. Got that solved thanks to the SFRG! Its good to be back.
  4. Just been crying and eating ice cream for the last two years. But really ive just been taking loads of pictures, Getting sucked into the Souls games, trying to straighten my life out (is that even a thing?) and putting game music on the back burner. If im being honest, i also got pretty discouraged by my lack of skill and inability to follow project deadlines so i left for a while out of shame. But, sometimes you just cant walk away, and the community just has so many wonderful people in it. Plus theres all the music, compos and the magfest festivities.
  5. The psp version of fft is alot more fun in my opinion. The dialogue changes are also something im a huge fan of. never could beat that game though. didnt see you had mentioned it. I dont think the enemies scaled like that in Knight of Lodis, LUCT definitely seems alot harder, i never could beat it. I loved the Emblems system in Knight of Lodis, it was always fun to see what emblems you could get by staging mock battles with yourself. It was also cool that you could play with a friend in training mode by passing off your gameboy each round.
  6. Suprised nobody mentioned any Ogre Battle games. Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis, is for GBA and super good if you like any of the FFT games. Theres another one for psp called Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together, that is just as good as the GBA game, and looks better to boot. Seconded on Heroes of might and magic, although its a bit more of a resource management game.
  7. This was a superb round, for once I think I came up with something solid (for a week) That contains reasonable amounts of each source.
  8. Esperado Requiem for a Reploid (Shield Sheldon in Sigma Palace [X8]) Chiral (Spiral Pegacion in Sigma Palace [X8]) Es-cop-ay (Crescent Grizzly in Sigma Palace [X8]) Nightmare Tank Police
  9. I personally don't see a problem with 2 week compos. I actually really enjoyed the RMwtS style compos where you could really put some time and effort into a mix. I find 2 weeks to be just long enough that its easier to come up with something relatively polished but not too long that you feel like it drags on.
  10. Whoa thats a juicy list! I also realized I can go back and practice on some of my older work that is for the most part done already. Should be set for a while. Thanks guys!
  11. Esperado Vector Point Engineering Sigma Fortress (Blizzard Buffalo in Final Weapon [X4]) Sins of the Syndicate (Gravity Antonion in Final Weapon [X4]) Mind Flip~ (Cyber Peacock in Final Weapon [X4]) Nightmare Tank Police
  12. Thats a good question! Someone just brought up how much they liked that ost the other day.
  13. Im having a hard time with learning to mix properly on my own mixes. My compositions skills are pretty amateur so as a result i can't efficiently learn to mix on them. As a result Im looking to find precomposed stems to practice mixing on. Does anyone know of a place that just has creative common stems or something?
  14. Tough week but still a fun round. It seems Mattrex got lost somewhere between sigma stage one and final weapon stage.
  15. Esperado - Nightmare Tank Police (Don't Wanna) Hurt You (Gravity Beetle in X-Hunter Stage 1 [X2]) Caffeine Shoveling Hunter Turtloids (Rainy Turtloid in X-Hunter Stage 1 [X2]) X's Demise (Spark Mandrill in X-Hunter Stage 1 [X2])
  16. Esperado Nightmare Tank Police. Arsonist (Flame Mammoth in Doppler Stage 1 [X3]) MMMDop (Slash Beast in Doppler Stage 1 [X3]) Tropical Relaxation Method (Cyber Peacock in Doppler Stage 1 [X3])
  17. Yea, I did like the navigation of the first game more, the storytelling, while still cryptic, was a bit easier to grasp as well. In ds2 they just drop you in and fail to tell you anything for half the game, sort of like Bloodborne. That said, I found ds2 to be hard IMO, with bloodborne being the hardest, but most rewarding to play. Excited for the 3rd game though.
  18. oh, mustve miscalculated the due date . No worries though, Congrats Kat!
