"Its my turn to Dream" by Cthonic was the first one that really got me into game remixes in general, but it wasnt until i heard "Snowfall on Forbidden Lands" that I found OCR. I didnt realize Ben Briggs was part of OCR until a good bit later.

I know there are even some OCReMixes with prefab instrumental loops in them that are still quite good and are by perfectly able composers. Its entirely silly to say what sample or loop is cheating. If something inspires you, then by all means use it.

im suprised nobody mentioned this yet, but try experimenting with swing in your drum productions. Some DAWs have a function for it, but if yours doesnt you should be able to just turn off the quantize grid and just slide your drum hits slightly to the right or left, depending on what youre trying to emphasize. I cant explain "the correct" way to use it though, since i just experiment myself.

Zelda is mostly about the gameplay anyways. They have the fun factor and puzzle solving nailed down, so as long as theres some variation in the puzzles and items, theres always fun to be had in zelda.

Guess I'll break the mystery and join the festivities. I cant resist good studio porn. Nice and clean also, i would say that the entry level yamaha monitors are probably the best you could get for the price point, of course i didnt buy them because i got a stupid good deal on KRK monitors.

Always good to get more youtube coverage of game music remixer, thats how i found OCR. As long as you have a good mix between already popular, and up and coming remixers.

theoretically you could always try to drum up interest in one and you could even be the project director of such a thing. im not exactly sure myself how to go about starting album projects but perhaps you could look around and try to find one of the directors of a current album project and then ask them how to go about starting one!
