  1. no, I meant four and that would be 32 tracks. to me that seems manageable. it's more of having that many people interested in doing a mix. but, if no one else believes in that concept, then we can go for a 16-24 track album.
  2. yeah I gotcha. most of that sounds good, but I think it would still be easier if we just made it 2 per game or 4 per game.
  3. so hold on, explain to me why some specific games have 3 tracks and others 2.
  4. Personally I'm not for that. To some it's considered the greatest, but at the same time there are actually plenty that hate it. I think if we were to do any game alone, SMK seems most reasonable. But I think it should be an album dedicated to all games.
  5. hey Shadic, after looking at that post that I entirely missed, is it possible I could remix something or am I too much of a failure? hehe
  6. entirely what Rexy said. yeah. she stole my never-existent thunder.
  7. yeah I think 32 is manageable. 64 is way too many for sure. that or we do it a historical way. two discs: earlier games (SMK, MK64, MKSS, MKDD) and then later games (MKDS, MKWii, MK7, MK8 ). two tracks from each game. that leaves you with 16 tracks total. though I really liked the "cup" idea I had going haha
  8. since when was 8 times 4 64? lol I'm not quite sure you're reading everything I'm posting, because I think I changed the idea from 8 cups to the 4 main ones. maybe I didn't make it clear enough. medleys... hrmmm... I just don't know The medleys pokemoneinstein stated seem to be the only ones that make sense I mean, with all these games, it's pretty hard to not have a lot of tracks. In all honesty, it may require that it be a large project. Now, we could cut it down to two tracks per game, but that's honestly as far as I'd go. I wouldn't want to cut it down any further than that.
  9. hahahaha I already stated this I was saying (and jnWake was saying) that we should have 8 tracks on each disc, considering there are about to be 8 games. so it'd be like disc one is Mushroom Cup and it would have one track from each Mushroom Cup in the series (so like Mario Circuit 1 from SMK, Luigi Raceway from MK64, and so forth)
  10. yeah I was thinking more along those lines. have a general idea of like 8 tracks of each game from each Mushroom cup for one disc, but let people pick which SMK Mushroom Cup or MK64 or MKDD Mushroom Cup track they want to remix.
  11. got it I got it now I'm good *goes and cries in a corner for eternity because Garrett has serious social anxiety no he doesn't he's kidding*
  12. uuuuhhhhh are you in the wrong forum or am I missing something here
  13. watched whole thing tonight incredible. Melee is one of the first games I remember being released and being a huge deal (yes, I am a young one), and so while it's not my favorite game in the world, it has a place in my gamer heart just because of how much I played and sucked at it when I was a wittle kid haha It's truly a great game. absolutely outstanding game. so to see a really impressive documentary entirely around this game is just glorious. loved it. edit: following Ken on twitch now. still a beast. just watched him play with Hugs and somebody else
  14. right right, totally, I gotcha man. ha ha bro MK64 and MKDD are my jams.
  15. that's actually a really great idea. I mean, it could be like a medley or a combination/vs. mix or something like that if it needed to be that way.
  16. I'm going to be honest, I really enjoyed part of that track list and I felt there were other parts that I was like "eh" on. I'm thinking more along the lines of taking the "greats" of Mario Kart music and getting them in here, and sneaking in some other references when mixers feel the need to do so. I'm still not sure how we'd pull it together, but I'd love to have like four tracks from each game. In fact, since Mario Kart 8 will be releasing so soon and this project would probably not even be closed to finished by that point, it'd be cool to even remix stuff from that game, so we could have it something like this: There would be four tracks from each "disc". And each disc would be a "cup". So disc 1 would be "Mushroom Cup", disc 2 would be "Flower Cup", and so forth, and we'd get all 8 reoccurring cups in there (Mushroom, Flower, Star, Special, Banana, Shell, Leaf, Lightning). That, OR, we do the four main cups (Mushroom to Special) and have 8 tracks on each, would may make more sense, but then we'd be mixing like SMK with MK64 and MKSS with MKDD. Any thoughts?
  17. if I have permission from pokemoneinstein, then yeah sure whatever hahaha
  18. wow Matt, I'm honestly surprised your even that into it. I really appreciate it.
  19. sounds about right, but I had to deal with taxes for the first time after being paid $500 on a job. so what specifically are the laws on that?
  20. ok. I'd love to have someone to assist me who has had a decent amount of ocremix experience, though that's not necessarily a rule; more like a guideline.
  21. watching it right now and freaking loving it I am surprised at how good this is from a small little indie production company there's just a magic to that game, man
  22. good to hear, man I'm hoping this will come together. this is surprisingly gaining much more attention than I expected. I'd love to hear some ideas, though. basically, I could direct the project, but in no way could I get all the marketing together (in meaning of site, advertisements, stuff like that). I just suck at that stuff. and even if I don't, I'd prefer not to be the head of all of that.
  23. totally fine, man. if this gets off the ground, be sure to share those links so I can hear some of your stuff. I'm honestly glad to hear there are far more people interested in this than I thought there would be at first.
  24. good to hear guys! I'd like to restate that I am not able to fully direct this if we were to ever go through with this. the most I could do is be assistant director. I just don't have the time and dedication to fully direct a project.
