  1. the album doesn't really have any major guidelines as of right now, so honestly any ideas are welcome. a "vs." remix would actually be fun to hear.
  2. That's part of why I'm trying to start this up and begin generating interest: to see if I can get more people into this baby. I've PM'd the OPer of the Road Rage project, but he hasn't responded yet. Not sure the last time he popped up on ocremix. If he doesn't get back to me by the beginning of next year, I'll probably just confirm the Road Rage project dead.
  3. Dear God. 14 years? I only became aware of OverClocked ReMix sometime between '06 and '08, and even that seemed like quite a bit of time back. But 14 years. That is older than Wikipedia, man. In internet terms, this is a darn old site. Come to think of it, that's older than most of the top sites today... Good Lord...
  4. haha well I'm not quite sure we're ready to recruit this yet since we're still generating interest, but I'll remember you said that. thanks.
  5. also, I have a question. It's been a year and a half since I last sold an album through CD Baby. I forgot about delays and updates. I don't keep up with the money my Edge of the Universe album is making, and most of the purchases of that album in the past year have been from CD Baby, not from iTunes, though I've made more from iTunes. It's been a while and I forgot if there was a serious delay on transactions when it comes to money I'm making through iTunes. Basically, a whole bunch of people are claiming they purchased my album on iTunes but I only see two notifications of purchases and they're both from CD Baby. Does it just take a lot longer for iTunes updates to get through? It's been probably a bit over a day since the first iTunes purchase was claimed, I'm guessing.
  6. I'll keep that in mind while we're continuing to see if people are interested in this project. Thank you.
  7. Secularized Santa filth? hahahaha what? My father is Scott Williamson. Not a well known guy, but a studio musician who definitely got his name out there and has played drums for some more popular artists like Alice Cooper and Reba (watching him do drums for Alice Cooper's more recent record was hilarious). GREAT. I LOVE EGYPTIAN SONGS.
  8. lots of that could come from the fact that my father actually mixed this track and he does mixing professionally. but I definitely worked hard on making it sound as good as possible while in the progress of recording it. thanks.
  9. So if someone wants to destroy me for basically self-advertising myself on the community forum, I don't think I could say anything against that. Nevertheless, I'm gonna try it anyway and hope that everybody's okay with this, because I've never actually done this before. So yes, I now have a new Christmas single available for purchase, "Christmas Has Awoken", and currently it's available in quite a few places but the two biggies are CD Baby and iTunes. I spent 15 bucks to get it up, so it'd be really nice if I could at least make that much back since I'm nearly bankrupt here. Ha ha. CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/garrettwilliamson2 iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/christmas-has-awoken-single/id777633305 Exclusive near-2 minute preview: http://youtu.be/76hYYqF9yGY Eventually there will be a music video up for it.
  10. NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON CD BABY AND ITUNES! It will eventually be available at other online stores as well. iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/christmas-has-awoken-single/id777633305 CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/AlbumDetails.aspx?AlbumID=garrettwilliamson2 please support me by spending one buck on this! I would SERIOUSLY appreciate it! Thanks!
  11. lol ZeldaInformer got everyone's hopes up for nothing, predicting they'd talk about Zelda U. ZI is way too excited and now they probably think ANYTHING could be a clue to Zelda U. it would be really nice if that actually happened, though.
  12. link is dead on the other hand WHAT IS LOVE BABY DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME NO MORE
  13. like every day I hear music in everything I come up with music in an elevator but I NEVER come up with music by sitting at my piano and thinking sometimes I'll come up with stuff while just screwing around on the piano but never have I thought about it for a few minutes and then tried to get it out it always comes when I'm either experimenting or just outta nowhere
  14. mine is-- no wait it's not New Years Eve yet so actually I'm not going to say anything. have I left anyone curious. no. ok.
  15. here's an exclusive preview of the song, nearly 2 minutes long, on YouTube: http://youtu.be/76hYYqF9yGY
  16. me too, bro. It'd be cool to get some more rock and guitar-heavy stuff in here, yeah
  17. because Majora's Mask has been appearing in a whole bunch of stuff right now, fans are really begging for it, and people at Nintendo are even giving off hints. so if they DON'T, that would seriously piss off fans. also, Skull Kid is going to be an assist trophy
  18. omg I used to watch this like every day

  19. not a bad idea. I'll probably go check with the OPer of Mario Kart: Road Rage lol, oh Ben Briggs. I love his mixes but vocal stuff isn't really for him.
  20. they have a shot of Skull Kid with Majora's Mask. I think it's confirmed. they're making a MM remake
  21. So more than a year ago, somebody tried to start a Mario Kart remix project and it didn't really go anywhere. (Mario Kart: Road Rage... the forum hasn't seen the light of day in at least a good few months, and before that, probably nearly a year... I think it's dead... tell moi if it isn't) I want to bring that back up again, since I am a serious lover of the Mario Kart series (you can probably see that due to the avatar choice I made). A Mario Kart ReMix Album is about the only thing that I sit at my chair while on ocremix and wonder "why the crap don't we have this?" Therefore, I'm generating interest in a remix project dedicated to the playful and funny music of Mario Kart. I would not direct it; I don't have the time and commitment to take control of a whole entire project, but these are some thoughts: I think we need to pick special tracks from each game. For example, get maybe like the main theme and Mario Circuit music from SMK soundtrack and a couple others, Sherbet Land or Koopa Troopa Beach from MK64, Mushroom Bridge/City and something else from MKDD, etc. And I think that Rainbow Road should be like a medley of all of the Rainbow Roads, though this is just a concept. No clue; I'm thinking aloud. I'm not going for any genre, but I definitely don't want house and dub step electronic music throughout the WHOLE thing, hahahaha And I know it's practically impossible to be able to do a vocal mix on something like this, but no vocal mixes. hehehe Again, these are all simply ideas I have. The thing could obviously become an entire different monster if we were to go through with it. So yeah. Anyone in, or am the only one who wants to do this.
