  1. Nerdapalooza is a full-service nerd arts and music festival. Previously the show has been very nerd core hip hop oriented, which has been great, but this year more than ever we're doing a lot to include a lot more VGM and chiptune artists. This year we've also moved from out of hotel venues and moved on to REAL concerts venues in downtown Orlando. The Beach and the Social have seen acts like GWAR, Reakwon the Chef, Atmosphere, MURS, Saul Williams, the Aquabats, and many more. This places are serious so expect a nice huge stage and an EXCELLENT sound system. Don't believe me? Check out these pictures from the Beacham: YES, the Beacham does have 3 full bars on the concert floor.** **I can neither confirm, not deny, that all/any of these bars will be in service during the event. I assume at least 1 will be. So you can come for Nerdapalooza, and stay downtown to enjoy the famous Orlando night light like Church Street Station and Wall Street. Nerdapalooza is DIFFERENT in that there are no panels, no other events at all, really. It's just music, and fun. 2. The last boss of Sonic 4: Episode 1 is so fucking long, and so fucking cheap, and the 1 or 2 times I've had the patience to suffer through it and beat him the game has bugged out and I FELL THROUGH THE FUCKING FLOOR AND DIED. Fuck that game. I didn't hate it up until that part. After that? Fuck that game.
  3. My play through dropped 2 staves and 2 "held in off-hand" stat sticks (Mage only)"
  4. I like how many people are forming opinions based on the first few minutes of gameplay on normal. I wonder if anyone has actually been following the ongoing beta and playtests?
  5. ....what? Was Winamp 5 and the portable media module even out then? Why would you have to format it? Is it not Windows formatted already? The Windows formatting works for both Windows AND Mac where as the Mac formatting only works for Mac. What features would you lose?
  6. There's other ways to transfer stuff. Winamp, for instance.
  7. If you have a smart phone and a good data plan, this is a great solution. If NOT I haven't found an MP3 player that I like as much as my iPod. Most have prettyyy bad UIs/library support (the HTC music app is especially bad). They're all pretty comparable price wise as well. The iPod touch can also obviously do other things, but the iPod Classic/Nanos are still really solid. I'd say the BIGGEST drawback can be iTunes, but not so terrible if you only use it for management.
  8. Agreed!: (Live-A-Live for the ultra-win)
  9. Pushed both OCR3 and VGMix out to user styles: OCR3: http://userstyles.org/styles/1021/overclocked-remix-4-ocr3-remix VGMix 2: http://userstyles.org/styles/61584/overclocked-remix-4-vgmix-2-style Some notes: OCR3's forums are missing a few buttons, and some links are mucked up. I'm going to try to re-create any buttons that the vB has that the original PHPBB2 theme did not. VGMix 2 does NOT have a themed forums. So for now it's going to fall back to OCR3's forums VGMix 2's logo only works well on 1920x1080 resolutions. I'm trying to figure out a good fix for that.
  10. Doing some work on this lately. Expect some updates sometime soon:
  11. Fight me. ...on a day that's not today because...ya'know. OCR Soul Cali V tournament IMHO.
  12. http://coop.herograw.net/ocrquirks/NWG.html Also: Excellent album. A+ + +
  13. You too? I thought is was just my ISP being stupid.

  15. Jumped ship to X360 this time around (for now). Mitsu's relic is gone...I'm still coping with the loss.
  16. We just got back from the memorial celebration not too long ago. It was pretty great. His mom had some really excellent things to say. Almost none of you guys here on OCR had really known him at all. If you get a chance, and haven't already, check out some of the OCAD/Nerdy Show cross over shows. Mike is truly someone who needed to be...experienced. I met him a few times in person; doing radio shows and what not. To say he was an incredibly spirited guy would be a drastic understatement. He was a really upbeat and funny guy, really nice really...affectionate. Never the one to be out done in nudity, that's for sure. I'm really a bit in denial still that he's actually gone. It feels more like he just left town rather than...well ya'know. The memorial had so many people from all the lives he had touched. Everyone did their best to put on a smile and celebrate his life, but there were some really heavy moments. For you guys that never got a chance to meet him in person I leave you with this: !This video is a Nerdy Show tribute to Mike that has a lot of pictures that really help you understand his personality AND http://retrolowfi.tumblr.com/post/16798697381/my-friend-from-nerdy-show-triforce-mike-is-one This is a song by local Orlando nerd-pop artist Marc with a C that echos a story anyone who knew Mike personally can understand. I'm truly sorry none of you had a chance to make it out to Nerdapalooza before he had passed. He really would've left an impression on your lives.
  17. I have no real qualms with the majority of the game, though it pales to even the worst parts of Sonic Generations. But the last boss of Sonic 4 was the most frustratingly long, buggy, piece of shit that it makes me never want to even look at it ever again.
  18. Anyone else think that it's hilarious that site is using the album art for Kind of Bloop that was determined to be copyright infringement itself?
  19. 20. Not sure what you're looking for here as a response..... iPod Nanos are pretty affordable? Additionally: That thing is dead. Stop plugging it into stuff before it breaks other things. Open it up and see what kind of drive it has in it if you REALLY need the data. It MIGHT be recoverable but...from the sounds of it you may have killed the drive as well.
  21. There are very few things I can do to really make a difference regarding this bill. Voting, signing petitions, sending snail mail, making phone calls, and this. I'm going big or going home. That's why ThaSauce and OLR are both down. It is well worth any amount of traffic I would lose for being totally down for 1 day. As it's been said before, the very existence of the sites is in question with these bills. That said, I agree with Google and Twitter not going down, though I would've liked to see twitter of facebook do ANYTHING AT ALL. I think leaving avenues for discussion regarding the bill open is a good thing. ThaSauce has no critical functions for political commentary.
  22. I spent about $75 on alcohol, and I can thankfully say I drank about 80% of it myself. Secret to success? Don't be on the OCR block Hide the alcohol even though no one's around #1 investment for MAGFest XI? Flask. Solution #2: Grain Alcohol (x3) http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/01/48/00/64/0001480064647_500X500.jpg (x3) Could probably mix it all in a hotel trash bin (clean it first, obviously) and funnel it back into hawiian punch bottles in the bathtub. Now you'd spent a handful of dollars and create 3+ gals of booze. Give that to everyone else, and keep the good stuff hidden for yourself. Source: Too many fricken house parties.
