  1. I think my mix alone has more guitars than the entire blue bracket xD
  2. Damn, I'm so glad I clicked on this. The only nitpick I have is that the lead guitar is a bit quiet in some parts but otherwise this is great
  3. Well, mine is 44.1kHz 24 bit though I guess that doesn't make much of a difference. Currently uploading it to dropbox, and considering my connection that might take a while D:
  4. Eh I think I'm finally done with my mix, though I'm gonna sleep on it and check for anything I might've missed when I wake up.
  5. Same here. They've abandoned the one thing I liked about the Tekken games - quick battles where each move can make a difference. These days a 10-hit combo takes less than half of your opponent's HP...
  6. An idea came to me while I was eating and I already have made my 1-minute intro! Woohoo! Too bad I won't be at home the entire Monday in order to continue working on it, but at least I'll have plenty of time to listen to this round's remixes in my car
  7. Interesting indeed! Good luck Yami Also lol at Gario vs Amphibious, rematch of SZRC finals
  8. Thanks! :D

I hope you'll enjoy my mix once it's out ;)

  9. I also wanted to give Battle #2 a try but Toma claimed it before me
  10. Haha, Storm Owl will do just fine, although I hope I'll face Enigami so that I can rock the shit out of that Gungaroo
  11. Yo Darke just to let you know I'll be using my real name throughout the compo as I started to use it with anything music-related. Looking forward to the start of this compo
  12. You can find the first episode on their blip channel via their website: http://teamfourstar.com/page-episodes Great parody, I've been following it for a pretty long time xD
  13. Seeing that ProjectSpam also picked Storm Owl as his #1 pick, I've changed the order of my picks a bit: 1. X7 - Vanishing Gungaroo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVsXTF8YSyA 2. X4 - Storm Owl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vse756mAMfo 3. X8 - Avalanche Yeti http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fSKfXlbY6Q 4. X6 - Infinity Mijinion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5IVzmZYu1I 5. X - Storm Eagle
  14. zircon has some Shreddage vids on his youtube channel, check them out:
  15. This is great, although a bit too coverish for OCR. All individual performances are excellent though the only nitpick I have is that the lead guitar sounds a bit empty in the 0:35-0:46 section (and when that section is repeated), mainly because it's not hitting the high notes that are there in the source. Keep up the good work
  16. Yeah, I saw the "requests" for Storm Owl so I put it as my first pick although I like Vanishing Gungaroo a bit more Also, I hope I'll get my revenge against Amphibious for that loss in the SZRC
  17. I see you need people so I'll give this a go 1. X7 - Vanishing Gungaroo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVsXTF8YSyA 2. X4 - Storm Owl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vse756mAMfo 3. X8 - Avalanche Yeti http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fSKfXlbY6Q 4. X6 - Infinity Mijinion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5IVzmZYu1I 5. X - Storm Eagle Looking forward to the compo!
  18. Well, right now the posting is a bit more of a problem than judging ("in judging process" list is around 2 times shorter than "to be posted" list, but let's not forget it includes only submissions before may). The posting tempo was fine during the previous and most of this year, so I really believe the ff6 kickstarter had an influence on the recent lack of mixposts, but look at the fact that there are around 200 mixes posted each year - that's more than enough. I don't think that another person should be in charge of posting - maybe once in a while someone other than djp could write a review (I remember reading about "guest judges" who judged individual mixes on couple of occasions, something similar could be done with reviewing), but in essence, I consider posting and reviewing mixes as djp's well-earned privilege.
  19. Update: No major changes to the arrangement were made, I like it as it is, and I hope the judges will like it too I added small variations to the drums, fixed the crash, lowered the lead guitar volume a tiny bit and filtered out some leaking low frequencies on the bass and guitars. Feedback is appreciated as always, I wanna make this submission-ready as soon as possible
  20. The remix is right here: and the source right here: As some may remember, last year I tried to do an electronic take on this source tune which didn't work out quite as I expected, but recently I've got some new VSTs and wanted to do an electronic take once again. However, things didn't work quite well with the mix, so I took a different approach - I removed most of the synth leads and recorded the guitar leads instead, followed by rhythm guitars, after which I also removed the electronic drums and replaced them with an acoustic kit, though I bitcrushed them a tiny bit to get a better sound. I hope to get some feedback on this as I'm definitely planning on submitting this to the judges, enjoy listening!
  21. I think OCR panel just stole my idea for a Home Guldove remix xD Anyway, nice performance
  22. This was a great tournament, a short one for me, but hey at least I can say I lost to the eventual winner Congrats on the victory Amphibious, and congrats everyone for making plenty of awesome music
