Bump. Don't know if mods are ignoring me or this got out of the 1st page too fast xD -
Well, the one Kyle mentioned could also be a fan page, as the "Like" button on their website is linked to this: https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=170416813053481

PRC211 - Wonderful Dragon Dance (Wonderboy III)
Ivan Hakštok replied to Bundeslang's topic in Competitions
Damn, I really like this source. I think I'm gonna give it a shot, but I'm a bit busy with college so I can't promise anything. -
Finally finished listening, and I gotta say this album is better than I expected, considering that I wasn't familiar with any original theme except the one from Bahamut Lagoon. Loved the way the album was done in a more acoustic manner, OCR definitely needs more acoustic songs. Oh, and I hope I'm not the only one who started singing "Con Te Partiro" while listening to "This Winding Road" xD

After going through this couple of more times today, I came to the conclusion that I have nothing to nitpick, so I'm flagging this for mod review. -
wip Chrono Cross - Another Madness (Another Termina Remix)
Ivan Hakštok replied to Ivan Hakštok's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I deleted all previous versions from tindeck not so long ago, but I still have all versions as separate FL projects (2 of them finished, 2 which could use more work). The production on 1st and 2nd was horrible, and I found it easier to redo it from scratch rather than fixing production issues. Anyway, if you wanna check them, old versions are still up on Chrono Compendium: http://chronofan.com/Black/Music%20(Chrono%20Trigger)/OCRWIP/Hakstock%20-%20Another%20Madness.mp3 (version 1, first vgm remix I made in FL studio, now I find it very un-listenable xD) http://chronofan.com/Black/Music%20(Chrono%20Trigger)/OCRWIP/Hakstock%20-%20Another%20Madness%20%5BFinal%5D.mp3 (version 2, production and synths are pretty dull on this one) Anyway I think I'll be sticking to the new arrangement, but I don't have much ideas how to complete it, and I have some other stuff on which I'm working right now. Glad you like my other CC mixes, I hope soon I'll have one good enough for OCR -
wip Flying High Above (Chrono Trigger + Bahamut Lagoon)

Updated, link in the 1st post. I changed the 3rd lead synth, and also worked around couple of figures in places where I thought the song felt empty. Also, I started the ending fade-out a bit earlier in order to cover up the repetition. As always, feedback is welcome. I really hope this will be good enough for a submission! -
Well, as expected from a first remix, it has some flaws. The drums on this are confusing, I think you'd be better off using straightforward beats instead of trying to somehow follow the tune. The song could also use a bit more instruments to fill the space, especially pads. I would also compress the master a bit, and maybe make the bass a bit louder. I'm not really familiar with the source so I can't comment on usage or originality. This needs some work, so get onto it

Link to the song: http://soundcloud.com/haki-1/f This is a remix of Chrono Trigger's ending theme, To Far Away Times and Bahamut Lagoon's Fahrenheit 1 theme. Don't know how exactly I came to the idea for this mix, but I think it sounds pretty neat so far. I've got to polish some sections (the outro needs most work). Any feedback is highly appreciated! http://soundcloud.com/haki-1/in-front-of-your-door As the title says, this is my first attempt at a solo piano arrangement. I've combined the "Another Arni" theme with "Dimension Breach" ( , )The idea came to me while I was walking to my college (most of my ideas come during that walk ), but as I never wrote a solo piano arrangement before, I don't know if it's any good. I intend to make this a lot longer (all I have now are intro, one verse, bridge, chorus), and I'm hoping to get this good enough for an eventual submission, but I desperately need some feedback so I'm posting this early WIP.

december 21th 2012 - "Game Over" album
Ivan Hakštok replied to PabloComa's topic in Recruit & Collaborate!
If anyone is looking for some game over themes, there's a youtube channel dedicated to them: http://www.youtube.com/user/GameOverContinue Including staff roll themes would be great too, maybe make it a double album with the first part being game over themes and the other being staff rolls. -
Modern Games with Modern Soundtracks
Ivan Hakštok replied to Brandon Strader's topic in General Discussion
Well, first thing that came to my mind that's not on the list would probably be Xenosaga, all 3 sequels. Another one I found awesome was Tropico 2, did anyone else like that one? XD -

Need some help altering panning and frequency
Ivan Hakštok replied to jordanrooben's topic in Music Composition & Production
If you meant sending entire music to both sides simultaneously, route all channels to two mixer tracks, pan one 100% left, one 100% right and route those 2 to master track. But that actually only results in a bit louder mono track. About your second question, are you saying you want to run both normal frequency and a bit detuned one at the same time? You can route your instrument to just two channels, put something like mda detune vst on one and then route those two to master. -
finished Lara Croft & The Path Of The Tiger
Ivan Hakštok replied to AngelCityOutlaw's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Great ideas here, I've always loved the Tomb Raider games and the main theme (yeah, I played through each game and all expansions ) Only thing that bugs me is the dizi. You could try adding some thrills, making it more diverse, and also by editing velocities like Archangel pointed. Hope to hear a complete version soon -

Why do YOU submit music to OC ReMix?
Ivan Hakštok replied to Liontamer's topic in General Discussion
1. Why do you think so many people submit and share their remixes to OCR? Probably because they want their music to be acknowledged by both expert musicians and also the general public, and to get feedback which would help to improve one's production/arranging/playing skills. 2. Why do YOU do it? Well, mostly because I want to know where I'm at with my musical skills. I'm trying to improve as a musician and I think OCR is a great place for that. When I compare my current works with the ones I posted in the WIP section a year ago, I see drastic improvement, all thanks to the feedback from this community -
Not high numbers since I used to listen on youtube exclusively, but winamp says this: 1. Sixto Sounds - Twin Blood (131) 2. Ziwtra - Aftershock (76) 3. Kaijin - Dreaming (56) 4. goat - Feeding Frenzy (40) 5. Geoffrey Taucer - When The Smoke Clears (19)

79.95$ investment for a lifetime profit. -
I like this policy because it's always good to know what we can expect in the future, however I disagree that solo albums should be listed. It's a choice of the artist, and also I don't think that having two projects of the same source would hurt that much, mostly because they would both have unique styles which wouldn't clash that much with each other. In my opinion, it's okay to remix same things over and over, as long as enough diversity is maintained.
