I've been waiting for that one to hit page 60 ever since I saw this thread
During my time on OCR, I've listened to plenty of remixes, but this one is still my favorite.
It preserves the mood of the source and yet adds more to it. Something that always amazed me in this remix is the cohesion between the piano and other instruments. Every part of this remix is great and they all blend into an awesome whole.
There's only one problem with this remix though: it's too short! I could just put the outro on a loop and listen to it until my ears stop working
I've already made a 30-second intro, and I couldn't continue because my roommate went to sleep, otherwise I'd be done with half of it by now
I think this will be a lot less energetic entry than my previous ones, but that's only gonna make it better
I've dared myself a bit and tried to do a genre I've never done before, and I gotta say I'm doing pretty good
I'm almost done with my arrangement, which means I'll have enough time to do the mixing and work on the small details
I'm gonna try to get a track done this year, I also wanted to do it last year but I didn't manage to complete the track on time (and it sucked anyway xD)
Sooo, just to be sure Dyne, what's your stance on covering
?
Actually I did double-track the rhythm guitars, but yeah, they still sound buried in some parts. About the lead, I was a bit lazy so I didn't do too many takes, usually I take 50+ to get a decent lead xD
