It loads up Kontakt just fine, only problem is when you notate articulations, it doesn't do the keyswitch to perform the articulation. Perhaps there's a workaround, or perhaps an update at a later time?

4. submitted Twisted Systerz, Mara and Nara theme remix
Audiomancer replied to Audiomancer's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Here's the update! https://drive.google.com/file/d/10UJIB4lWUjxxYRQdVgHicA4VQ7QxG-lk/view?usp=drivesdk So I altered the bass by separating the acid sounding arp from the meat of the bass, they were indeed one instrument. The main bass is now two triangle waves, one an octave higher than the other. The NES used those for it's bass channel, I figure it might be because of fewer harmonics to interfere with other instruments? I altered the decay and sustain to try to bring more punch to the instrument without increasing it's volume. I also brought it to mono. The acid sounding instrument is now separate, and I lowered the lower frequencies of it as well as adding a high pass filter. Also, I filtered some of the lower frequencies from other instruments in the arrangement. Hopefully some of this helps, and thanks ahead of time! -

Oops! Here it is. -
I recently downloaded and installed MuseScore 4, and I had read that the free MuseSounds add on sounds pretty decent, so I installed that as well. I also read that vst effects can be used....but I also stumbled upon the fact that you can write for vst instruments right from MuseScore, no ReWire or other routing needed:) I think that is great...especially since MuseScore is free and there are free vst's to be had. Also, I remember someone on here quite some time ago wanting to be able to control synths with notation, instead of a typical piano roll DAW. This lets you do that,

This is another attempt at this tune. My computer died, so I arranged it on Caustic 3 on my phone, and by the time I got done with it, my PC was back up and running, and I did a final pass on it. I tried to take the judges' feedback into consideration, and I believe this take is less dense, I changed the percussion a bit (the high hats..I eliminated the closed hats, because when I tried using varying samples, it sounded like paper clips going at it in a pop can), and I used a loudness meter to try to get it at -14 LUFS. Doing that left a bit of headroom, and it seems soft....perhaps others will be able to tell me if that is so. Thanks! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1snZRLPQfAVf2hp9aSCpZldtlNI06dGJd/view?usp=share_link

An attempt at the pyramid theme from Dragon Warrior 3. It's a WIP, no mastering done and work needed, as well as needing to be made longer. Feedback greatly appreciated! Remix https://drive.google.com/file/d/1__BRpUZ8nE10HlDdIknXW3mpx1t0sdgj/view?usp=share_link Original

I Have a Question About Cadences
Audiomancer replied to Uffe von Lauterbach's topic in Music Composition & Production
I think the sus chord to the major chord at 40 seconds in is good, and sets up the following section nicely. Since it's boss battle music, tension is perfectly acceptable, IMO. The only thing I might add to that section is a percussion buildup that reaches it's climax immediately following the major chord at :40. You have a hit at that point, but perhaps a buildup during the sus chord and major chord would add emphasis? I'm not the most experienced writer, so consider that:) -
Ignoring the fact that Midway happened in 1942....I thought I would post a WIP of this. This is the first half, and even what's here isn't fleshed out fully yet. I am amused by the name I came up with it...even though bu-bye doesn't exactly rhyme with butai. This is an MP3 file at 112kbps so I could attach it to this post. The 1.43 MB limit is quite small:) Kido Bu-bye, 1943-Battle of Midway Stage1 Remix.mp3

This is another attempt at this song. It's pretty different than the last try, and this one was done on PC instead of phone. Feedback welcome! https://youtu.be/7JhJUGe71Cc -

Count me in:) -
This is something I put together recently, and I thought I would post it here. I have a couple things I would like feedback on. Number one, I'm not sure on the balance and reverb on the SID lead, and I'm also not sure how others will like "the 80's threw up in here" kind of thing I have going on. I personally like it, not sure if others will. Thanks for feedback ahead of time!:) Edit: I made a couple of adjustments. Looking4BuddiesMasterWAV.wav

This is a work in progress remix of the World of Ruin overworld theme, Searching for Friends. I've gotten some new software lately, and this is using some of that. Feedback welcome!:) I do know that the EQ and loudness aren't where they should be, and the kick needs to be worked on:) Also, some humanization on the SID-style leads is needed. I haven't had time to take a crack at this....if someone else wants to contribute, that's awesome. I might be able to add at some time, but I can't guarantee timing right this moment:)
-
I'll take another crack at it, if no one else is in line. I have to say, I'm impressed with the sound of that soundfont, especially for the size:)
-
Here is my small contribution:) BLORGx_4.flp

Sounds good, perhaps the next time around:) I'm curious to hear your opinion on the soundfont when you try it.
-
Awesome:) Edit: Someone mentioned the 64 bit soundfont player....musyng is a pretty decent soundfont, perhaps that could be allowed? There's a pretty good range of sounds in there.

Yes I do! This sounds like so much fun:)
