  1. Simply stunning! I love Sebastian's "Tellah's Prophecy" (which is a combination of electronica and cello as well) from this album a lot, but this is much more beautiful - I'm big sucker for such soulful songs, and I'm sucker for the cello too, so this mix instantly hooked me. Incredible work, Mr. Freij.
  2. Haha, this is a really cheesy yet cute track It certainly has its own atmosphere of romantic night; and it sounds somehow warmly as well. I can easily imagine a couple walking in the streets of a night city and looking at the starts... And probably even kissing Very good job, Mr. Dome!
  3. Very good song. I think it may be pleasant even for those who don't like vocals-heavy tracks, simply because the vocals are so charming The airy/soft nature of this song is just wonderful, and even the electric guitar solo doesn't spoil it at all. Nice relaxing tune - be sure to check it out!
  4. Haha, this is certainy the most sunny remix here on OCR It makes me smile instantly - it's tropical atmosphere here is so heavy! The brass stabs are great, as well as the chromatic percussin and the organ. Also love that small piano bridge Incredible mix, especially considering its age.
  5. While this track isn't the best J-E-N-O-V-A remix, IMO, I think about this particular song when I think aboutJenova . I dunno why; perhaps, because it the first J-E-N-O-V-A I've ever heard. It's a great track nonetheless - a classic example of classic Jordan's work. Very nice danceable tune with great synths, beats and such.
  6. Man, this is just pure awesomeness! It's certainly one of my personal highlights of VotL. Every little thing is incredibly polished - the vocals are brutal yet light and even soulful, the guitar chops are killer, the usage of scratches is very creative and neat and the orchestral stuff works pretty as well! Very good song, definitely worth a listen
  7. Yeah, "futuristic western" describes this song pretty well. Right from the beginning I knew this song was going to be badass. These brutal guitar chops in the beginning are awesome, then you've got some weird distortion thrown in, and later some typical ilp0 jazzy/funky things appear. So this song can't be bad! It's just great.
  8. Honestly, I love Hybridism a lot, and this is one of my favorite tracks from it - it's certainly got that classic smooth Morse's touch of funk/jazz. The soloing @ 1:05 is very good. Amazing track!
  9. Oh man, the drum writing here is incredible! My favorite slap bass is here as well. And then you've got some amazing guitar chops on top of that. Very well done!
  10. Haha, what a cute arrangement I actually like XPRTNovice's jazzy jam a bit more, but this is an interesting way to tackle the original as well. Love the playful nature of this track - sounds something like from Tom & Jerry. Excellent track
  11. Holy shit! melody!!! I'm HUGE fan of all Peter's works and I was extremely glad to see his name of the front page. While this remix is on the rockier side of things, compared to other Peter's songs, it's still a great pleasure to listen to. And though this work is a bit of departure from other melody's stuff in terms of genre, it can be easily recognised as his work due to badass drum groove and wonderful jazzy licks here and there. What a lovely song!
  12. So... Uh, yeah. You've got some classic Will's synth goodness, some classic Will's drumwork some classic Will's shreddage, and the blend of these components is, of course, a classic WillRock mix, no less! The ammount of energy is really great here, and it's simply hard not to bop your head when listening to this tune. I really consider this song to be Will's best. Awesome
  13. This mix is just badass - love it right from the intro. The beat is damn tight & the usage of scratches and monkey noises @0:42 is very creative. Love your straightforward yet unusual approach. Nice work!
  14. Despite all the sources being from different games and just being different, this mix sounds quite cohesive and flows very nicely. The guitar tone is pretty cool, and some ambient sounds thrown in here and there are nice touches as well. The evil laughter is great addition too! All in all, this is a really strong debut
  15. Sometimes simplicity is the key to the perfection - this mix is just a blend of sax & piano only, but just listen to it and realise how gorgeous it is! Not much else to say, actually. Just incredible! Also gotta agree with Rozo about this song and Joren's Simian Soirée being a perfect combo
  16. Now this is some impressive jazz stuff. The song is worth downloading simply because of the piano intro itself, but when it picks up... Ah. Eargasm! The flow here is way too perfect. Both piano & drum parts are just jaw-dropping. Probably one of the best jazz arrangements. Amazing song!
  17. Ah, one more classic OCR track... Boy, it's so much pleasure to listen to! The EP work is wonderful, and then you've got some cool organ work, wah-wah stuff goin' on, some solid drums and such. Be sure to check this out! P.S. Lava hurts, haha. I love puns.
  18. I would never imagine the classic fighting theme from FF7 to be treated in such way. Jazz is the music of my soul, and this song makes it happy. I'd really like to see this track performed live, haha Very tight performance, guys!
  19. Yeah, "We're the Robots" is a great source tune indeed, and I'm glad it was Dustin who tackled it. His trance-y spin is pretty tasty, and the usange of pan plute & shufflin' percussion is awesome. Awesome track, don't miss it!
  20. Simply incredible - there's just thousands of tons of Prelude arrangements, but this one sticks out due to the artist's approach here. It's a really neat idea to create such a lush soundscape, filled with tension and mystery. I think this tune can perfectly fit Twinkle Park from Sonic Adventure, particulary the music of parts of Amy's stage inside the castle. Very good job here!
  21. Man, this remix can make move even the dead! It's just an awesome cut of energy-packed goodness The overall excecution is certainly rock-solid, but the chippy bit is my favorite moment here. Perfect rave song. Very well done!
  22. Ah, the atmosphere is really lush here. And I really enjoyed the calming sound of this mix - everything cliecked here so well! The percussion was especially good - loved how it switched from some soft stuff to acoustic drum kit. Very nice work!
  23. Just a little nitpick: the smileys in the sections with comments (on the remix pages) are a bit uplifted. That's weird. Dunno if it was before, but I've just noticed it.
  24. Oh... This is as smooth & cool as ice and yet it has some warmth to it. The sax plaing is imply wonderful, and the blues/rock guitars are darn awesome as well. Love the "rainy" feeling of this piece. Certainly one of the highlights of ToaD! Sweet track
  25. I'm not big fan of minimal pieces of music, but I love this one, actually. The flute sounds pretty nice and the crunchy percussion is good as well. The groove is really unusual, but it's still quite cool. Nice work!
