  1. Groove on? Why not! Especially when the groove is extremely hard to be resisted. The excellent blend of phat beats, wah-wah guitar chops, some piano licks, tasty synths and breaks make this song probably my favorite from Alex. So sweet!
  2. Oh boy, what a solid groove! It's hard not to bop your head while listening to the track. At fisrst, I wasn't feeling the 90's vibe too, but, yeah, at 1:12 it sounded totally like something from that time. Good job
  3. Well, this track is really different from the other Joel's tracks, which are more energetic and techno-oriented, so it's a very nice change of pace. It surely sounds dated and the percussion seems to be out of place, but I really love the ambient atmosphere of this song. Love the cool breakdown @ 4:32, which kicks the things up a bit. Pretty good mix, considering its age
  4. Man, I'm a big fan of such highly emotioanal remixes. This one definitely has a strong feel-good vibe to it and I simply can resist it. This song instantly makes me relax and think about a seaside during the sunset and I can clearly imagine some people lying on the beach and drinking thier cocktails. The performances are, of course, fucking tight - the smooth sax, the wah-wah guitar, everithing just clicks immidiately. Absolutely solid work!
  5. What a neat idea to blend chips with wubwubs and to thrown in the gorgeous Terra theme. I've never expected it to be done in such way, but it seems to work. But hey, it's halc, his stuff is always good! Love the fast-paced section @ 2:12. CVery creative mix, Mr. Wheeler!
  6. I'm a big fan of what djp & Vig did with this theme and I've never thought that there can be an equally awesome treatment of original, but man... Then you get this remix. And it's unapologetically smooth. The sax performaces are pretty tight and the other instrmentation create a very lush and ethreal accompaniment for it. Love this tune
  7. I'm not big fan of celtic/folk-inspired songs, but this song struck me with its cheerful, carefree vibe. It can easily be a theme of breezy sunny morning, haha And it can easily fit some cartoon as well. What a lovely mix!
  8. God, the percussion here is extremely amazing! Some people mention the jazzy nature of this mix and it's hard to disagree - the tempo of the original has been slowed down and there's also some glassy piano licks thrown in, so it's all about jazz for sure. The synths were pretty nice too. Nice work, Jacob!
  9. Ah, a classic funky djp mix. So unbelievably catchy. The beat is really meaty and the baslline is killer as well. I think this is what can be called "An OCR Legend". Great mix!
  10. Oh boy, suckas definitely can't touch this! Hahaha It's a fucking awesome collab, seriously. One of the best collabs and one of the best rap tracks here on OCR. It's realy hot. You've got a bunch of tight rappers, some insane guitar chops and really sick beats. It simply can't go wrong! I also should point out that even the instrumental part itself deserves a lot of attention, as I usually don't like the instrumental versions of songs, but this isn't that case. Great work, everyone!
  11. Steffan's orchestration skills are seriously jaw-dropping, so my mind is completly blown here. It sounds totally like if Danny Elfman created the score for FFVII. Very strong performances all around! Amazing job
  12. Yeah, I gotta agree that it sounds outdated at some points, but it's actually pretty nice overall. It's one of the first of OCR tracks I've ever listened to, so yeah, it's especially good for me. The flute soloing is really great. Also fucking love the original section @ 1:52. Dig this mix a lot!
  13. Very cool and creative mix. It's another great example of how to tie together a bunch a really different songs in a single cohesive track. Love the funky synths used in this track as well as the waltz-ish reinterpretation of Splash Woman theme. Sick collab!
  14. Classic DDRK stuff - inspiring upbeat electronica with a healthy dose of chips thrown in. I don't have much to say, actually - it's simply awesome in all ways. Very nice work!
  15. I really love what Nostalvania did here - the blend of carefree jazzy piano, smooth EP, nice organ, funky bassline, and solid drums give a completely new, creative treatment of this overpopular source. Wish it was longer, though. But other than that, very cool work!
  16. I think that actually Tepid's "TRIX" deserves the first place, but... Oh, well. Rayza's track is sweet and catchy as well. There's really that 90's sound to this one. The beat is just dangerously catchy and the chopped female vocals is a pretty nice touch. So awesome!
  17. Yeah, I can also say that the only thing that botheres me is the lengths of this mix - I feel a bit bored when it finishes, but aside from this detail, it's a great mix. Solid perforamnces, good recording quality. You can easily imagine this track being played during some concert dedicated to classical music. Nice!
  18. Man, PuD really knows how to make an awesome rock/fusion track. All the guitar solos are, of course, mind-blowing, but my favorite part here is the jazzier piano-led section @ 2:39. Insane work from Tony as always!
  19. Very nice I've always thought that D'n'B-styled tracks must me agressive, in-your-face, but The Vagrance made me change my opinion. This is an exeptionally light, airy, soaring track. It may seem static a bit, but there're actually a lot of subtle changes a touches. And the gorgeous sax is an excellent touch for sure. Love it!
  20. This is a mostrous mix! I'm truly impressed by how you put all the sources into one cohesive song that manages to represent quite a few different genres - there's some electronica, some rockin' stuff, some jazzy/classical things and even a vocoded rap verse (the lyrics are hella catchy). Very cool!
  21. I really love the uplifting mood this mix has The string writing is pretty nice and the soft piano licks are pretty cool too. My only complaint is that it becomes a bit loud at some points, but it's not a dealbreaker. Good job!
  22. I think that because of the popularity of dubstep and Sub Castle theme from SMW, these things had to meet someday, and I'm actually glad that it was Rockos who blended them - he knows for sure how to wub the things up a bit The reinterpritation may be straightforward a little, but with all the gritty bass twists and other stuff, it sounds awesome. Nice job here!
  23. One of my personal hilights of VotL. It really brings to mind a picture of something very cold, very ethreal, airy and fragile. Especially dig the percussive textures and acoustic guitar. It definitely maintains the winter atmosphere with such wonderful and lush soundscape. Freakin' awesome.
  24. One of my favorites from DQD. Love the wah-wah sound of the guitars. While this track still sounds Doom-esque, it is definitely a very cool upgrade of the original. Some solos are pretty top-notch. Rock on \m/
  25. I think this is the first ReMix of this theme I've ever heard and I love it much more then the other ReMixes of Wily 2-1. Seriously, there's a ton of guitar-centric metal covers of the original (don't get me wrong, some of them are pretty cool), but this is the only one vocal-based version, which is quite awesome. It's also pretty chill, I think. Good job!
