I'm working on a record with Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Bioshock Infinite), and we've been streaming from the studio 4 hours a day, all week. It's been pretty cool. 
Basically, you get to see the process of making a studio record. We're live broadcasting the band as we do takes, make creative decisions, and get into overdubs.
Troy is known as a voice actor, but he's a pretty damn good singer, and a great songwriter too. And the band is slaying. Anyway I've talked this thing up enough.
We'll continue streaming every day until Sunday, 12-2 and 5-7 PST.

Sup folks! I'm happy to announce that I'll be doing an r/games AMA Thursday, March 9th, at 3pm EST / 12pm PST. I'll be with the co-creators of my current indie project, Anew: The Distant Light, which is also on the last days of its Kickstarter campaign.
I'm super excited about this title as it's one of my most unique and personal scores yet, with elements of 20th century art music (John Adams, Bartok, Debussy, Takemitsu) as well as much quieter and more emotional cues. Hope you can make it!

It's 2017, MAGFest is over, and it's (past) time we got things back on track!
I'll be chatting with @JJT & @zircon - we may need some changes w/ our management approach, but we HAVE reviewed the initial round of WIPs, we'll be contacting artists where feedback is appropriate, and we'll be establishing a new timeline, soon.
If anyone has an overabundance of free time AND experience running an album, let me know on Discord if you'd be interested in helping to manage this project with us and we can talk a bit!

Yo, pro multi-instrumentalist here (keys/trumpet/guitar).
I think part of the problem is that you're trying to tackle a bunch of things that require different skill sets/muscle memory. The best multi-instrumentalists I know spent "seasons" learning different instruments, and if your goal is high proficiency in so many different tools, I think divide and conquer is your best bet. 
If you feel like tackling a bunch of different things at once, then I would try to focus on a set of instruments that are at least in the same family. For example, trumpet and flute, while vastly different, are both wind instruments, so there's some overlap there. Guitar and bass use the same fretboard, so that knowledge transfers from one to the other.
If you're serious about learning drums my advice is to lock yourself in a practice room with a metronome for two years, and make that your main focus. Get a lesson every now and again, just to make sure you're not doing anything that will lead to injury down the road.

As someone who plays guitar/bass/drums/saxophone/keyboard, it is something you build up over years, and not all at once. 

This particular saga is ended; Brandon has requested removal of his mixes from OCR, and we have decided that it makes sense, given his continued reluctance to admit any wrongdoing and continued insistence that we are in some way at fault / corrupt / whatever.
Put frankly, I don't trust him, I don't believe he learned anything from any of this, and I believe he'd just do it all over again in a heartbeat the next time something came up that he didn't like, didn't understand, misinterpreted, etc. As much of a fan as I am of the music he personally has released via OCR, which we have stood behind, and the albums he has coordinated... if I'm taking time away from my daughters to work on OCR, it has to be for the music, for the site, and for the community, not for the twisted ego & paranoia of a single artist intent on stirring up drama, baiting people, making unfounded accusations, etc.
I am willing to endure quite a bit for the betterment of OCR, and I realize that not ALL of the tasks that I'm responsible for are going to be fun, or enjoyable, or without controversy, but I cannot be expected to indefinitely babysit the fragile ego/psyche of someone who continuously makes bad faith accusations without evidence and sees no fault in his own actions, not to mention a LONG history of claims of harassment by other community members, abusive behavior on the forums, etc.
We will be mailing FF3 artists as well as collaborators who have worked with Brandon on posted mixes, as those will remain on the site unless a consensus decision to remove is reached by all parties. Existing published albums are unaffected by this process.
It's sad, but my goodness... I can't be expected to have unlimited patience and tolerance, nor can our staff. Long time coming. Time to move on.

Alright, the 9/12 WIP has passed us by. Thanks to everyone who turned something in. The other project leads and myself are going to take a few days to take stock of where we're at, and decide how to move forward. Within a week we should have a more substantive update. Cheers.
