  1. Do you want stuff like where Vig was on American Idol and wore an OCR teashire while playing the Tambourine, and I think he wore an OCR shirt in a Zedd video I'm guessing a collection of all the kotaku type links for album releases? *sob*
  2. I'm excited to see this on the front page. I'm just sad that by the time it happens, FFCC will be a long distant memory. Great work and thanks for being a part of it.
  3. Anyone get Tearaway for their Vita yet? It's made by the people who did LittlePigPlanet.
  4. This is a huge upgrade from the original with only the Stebo, gotta love them Brigg beeps and boops. He could have done more backing vocals. This is really good, a little light on the bass, though.
  5. Now, or in a few months, and just update the link you subbed and it should be fine! And the thing that stuck out was the synth, closer to 2:16. It doesn't sound bad per se, just seemed odd.
  6. You're the guy who has been training Chimpazilla, right? So naturally, you have an idea what you are doing production-wise. It sounds good to me. Actually sounds very FFX-ish, how they used a lot of those types of synths. I will admit, the Edward melody sounds quite odd in this context, and there's a note around 1:25 that sounds odd. It sounds like the melody is staying pretty true to the original, so if you need to change a couple notes here and there to make it flow more harmoniously, that shouldn't be a problem (panel-wise). I do think that the ending was pretty sudden. Adding a bit more of a build up to the percussion, or something like a reverse crash leading up to 2:19 could really help. Just nit-picks. Sorry it took so long to comment on this.
  7. I REALLY appreciate that. Anything is better than nothing. I know you're being modest and what you are making is probably amazing. Also if anyone revisits their songs from previous rounds for a "final version", maybe one you intend to submit to OCR, or just finished in general, please post them here so we can check them out. You can also post them in the Workshop subforum!
  8. Howdy y'all.. so I'm pretty sure I asked this already, but I just want to be absolutely sure so I don't break any rules in the future. Concerning posting about in-progress albums in Community. I was under the impression that a post could be made if it included a preview of songs from that album. It couldn't just be text about the album and what it will be, like an official project (which would go under the Projects subforum) It's an album that is intended to be submitted and hopefully released through OC ReMix. But it most-likely won't be "pre-approved official" because there would be no point. To not be so vague I'm referring to a solo album I'll be focusing on next year. Rather than just do it all "in the dark" I'd like to post periodic updates about it, samples, previews, and yes -- some soon coming full song previews from it. Just wanted to be absolutely sure what the policy is on this. I didn't forget from being told before, just wanted full clarification on this to not cause any problems. If it makes any difference as for community involvement, there will be several other remixers involved. (think The Answer)
  9. I don't know if this is typically for requests but it would be awesome to get some Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls avatars, and maybe a Quantic Dream category to choose from. Maybe even Kara, The Dark Sorcerer, and other QD stuff. But in particular I'd like some BTS.
  10. I am intrigued by what you are working on in January. I got your entry, will download when I get home in several hours. Thank you!
  11. Dang, I need to comment on that mix sometime, and other mixes in the workshop. Just going to literally be butt-pounded until MAGFest with the holidays going on. They're not taking it too easy on me at work.
  12. Wow I am totally bummed. I look down at the calendar and it's 12/20 already. It doesn't feel like Christmas at all, and I'll be working almost nonstop all week starting with a double shift on Monday. I hope you guys have a more traditional Christmas.
  13. It's more important how you use sound than how many sounds you are using... that's something I hoped people would begin to pick up with this compo. You can make something really great with a minimal amount of sounds. Sometimes less is more.
  14. Hi! I'm still very passionate about those 2 claims. I'd like to keep them. The schedule doesn't look too bad, tbh. We'll have to see how that goes, in regards to Jan 31st :-P but I definitely don't see why I couldn't have them done by April check in.

Will do final tweak on One Way. Modernize it (agaiin)!

  15. But are they too legit to quit? Actually I gotta add this, the judge test thing TOTALLY made me think of this episode of The Twilight Zone - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLvu_bPqaL0 It's a classic
  16. Wow... that sucks. You tested THAT many people? And only 2 of them passed? x_x That's unfortunate...
  17. This I can get behind. @Argile I wasn't nominating myself. You can't deny more judges would be more effective against the backlog. It's a legitimate concern that I hope can be acknowledged without being brushed aside like that.
  18. So it would be great if you guys could add a couple more judges. I know Flex and Chimp are going to do great, but actually look at what's there... the queue is only up to April 3rd so while the list is starting to get smaller, it's still almost 9 months behind, and that's almost 9 months worth of remixes that need judged. It takes 4 judges to close out a decision, 3 for a no, and while you already had a considerable amount of judges before Flexstyle and Chimpazilla came on, they weren't quite catching up with the panel. I think if you weigh the potential for good against the potential for bad, and consider that if it doesn't work out, you can reverse it practically effortlessly, this would be a good decision. If nothing else, at least until the panel catches up. That would make it easier on the new judges too, instead of overwhelming them with months worth of mixes to judge.
