Konami shut down the servers for MGS subsistenence (spl check) around now too, i think. I suppose the Socom servers are still up. The first 3 socoms were about the only thing online worth playing on ps2. FFXI excluded because it's on a shit ton of platforms. Never played RE O but i can see that happening.

i used to love primal rage. I had all the action figure too. My favorite character was the red ape, chaos i think? and that raptor was cool too. I thought the interaction with the backgrounds was kind of neat, how you could play catch with the humans and stuff. I'm sure it's a pile of crap by todays standards, but memories are great.

Pretty sure the slot lights up blue. but only if it's in standby mode (i think) and then you can check your messages. It's in the same place that nintendo sends you those messages saying how long you played certain games.

I turned 22 today and i'm into Pokemon. Only the original rpg style games mostly. Though Pokemon Snap was all kinds of awesome. It's like riding a bike, you never forget how to play. I was suprised at how much i remember from red and gold.

i'm about 10 hours in now. my monferno is level 25, my gyarados is 23 and my buizel is 22. I've got that bird one.. that i can't for the life of me remember the name, sparavia? it's like the pidgey of pearl/diamond, it's at 24. I'm having a problem finding the 3rd gym so far, the leader isn't home.

I picked Chimchar, not sure if it's male or female, wasn't paying attention. I'm only like an hour in, its like level 9 or 10.

I've got my diamond reserved at EBstop, dunno if they are getting it today (Sunday) or Monday. I assume they'll have it since most stores have seemed to have it since last week. Do you think i'll have any problem getting a DS headset? I've honestly never seen one in stores, i think a friend of mine has one though. How does the voice chat work in this? during battles? before/after matches?

i watched the trailer, when snake's running around the hallways he's very noisy. Snake shouldn't be that noisy.

I preordered diamond, i never thought about which one i wanted until the guy in the store asked. Looking through that list, i think i can live with the diamond exclusive pokemon.

That looks cool. I usually start with fire or water (charmander and squirtle) And i chose the fire one in gold. Maybe a grass type this time. Though you usually do end up with all 3 fully evolved at least i did. But i used to cheat and use that GB trade trick where you yanked the link cable out at the right moment when trading and you both get the PKMN. Gave alot of people mews that way.

Better than me. I've played and own all the Guitar hero games and still play on medium (hard is a little too hard for me). I picked this up for the 360 today and my whammy bar is all jacked up. It's basically unresponsive and a little laggy, i have to press it all the way in before it registers. There was a website i saw where you unscrew the back of the xplorer and tighten the 2 screws on the whammy bar or something to fix it, does anybody have the link? think it was on Digg.com a couple weeks ago. EDIT: NVM found it on google. So after about 30 minutes of messing with the whammy sensor i think it works better. The tutorial thing says to rotate it slightly, but i just messed with it til it worked better. Taking it apart makes me want to paint it. the white is kind of blah IMO. this is what the innards look like.

I had forgotten about it until today but a few weekends ago my friends and I were playing some Wii sports Tennis. My friend (casual gamer though he did beat LoZ :Tp on GCN) kept doing really exaggerated movements and we tried to explain it to him that it doesn't take much to swing. So i serve him a ball and he tries to spike it literally. (We're all sitting down by the way.) and amazingly he hits the bottom of the Wii mote on the ground (tile floors) he cracks the battery cover, it was hilarious. Of Course he didn't have the strap on so it could have been much worse. But it was just kind of funny to watch, it has to be the most retarded wii mote accident that I've witnessed.

I kinda dug jak and daxter (the 1st one anyhow). Ratchet and clank is pretty awesome (the 3rd one not so much). I'm a big MGS fan but even I didn't like Mgs3 at first, but it turns out pretty cool. I hated the camera but if you're playing subsistence (which i own but never went back to) you shouldn't have much of a problem since there's a better camera. Klonoa 2 is excellent also. FF12 is a pretty sweet game though i did like X. Okami is great too. You might wanna pickup Virtua Fighter 4 evolution if you're into fighting games (3d ones obviously). Disgaea is an awesome strategy RPG if you like games like Final fantasy tactics. Also Disgaea 2.

Makes me sorta glad my xbox360 is in texas right now. I'd hate to buy it and it not work. That really blows, you should try to swap it for another one.

I'm on like episode 23 of the anime, I just stream it off youtube nowadays, too lazy to look for a torrent. I wouldn't say it was great, but it's entertaining. It's definitely different than i thought it was going to be (Before i started watching.) How many episodes is the series? or is it still ongoing? I'm assuming it's around 24-26 unless some new shit comes up.

Sounds really expensive. Guitar hero is awesome but 90 bucks is kind of pushing it. I was hoping GH for wii will be less expensive because i'm hoping the wiimote plugs into some kind of empty guitar shell. So how are they going to package this game? 3 different skus?

I was assuming the whole Ninja Gaiden DS thing to be an early april fools joke from tecmo (team ninja?) But it was on IGN gamescoop and 1up Yours! this week. It sounds like a bad idea, I like ninja gaiden (old and new school) but a game similar to the NES games would be a better fit IMO. It's weird that you have to hold it like a book (ala hotel dusk), twitch games don't work so well on the DS but maybe this will open up the door for more action games. I can't frickin wait for Pokemon to come out, i haven't decided which version to get yet.

Yea i considered that. But i thought they might open it, or look at the serial number or manufacture date, though it is just Wal-mart.

so the final cost of my broken xbox is $160.00 (20 shipping). It wasn't under warranty unfortunately. I weighed the pros and cons of getting that new one or just saying the hell with 360 but 160 isn't that bad providing the one that i get back actually works.

I'm not an expert on the subject. Been playing guitar about a year. My first guitar was an Epiphone SG. though right now you can get a Gibson SG for 580 bucks with a gigback or case at guitar center, it's the worn cherry or worn wood colored ones. If you're into that sort of thing it's better than an epiphone. I used replaced most of the strings with "ernie ball" 'the gauges are 9, 11, 16, 26, 36, 46. I don't know a hell of a lot about strings but my brother says they are called "hybrid slinkys" because the bottom 3 strings (the thick ones) are a bigger gauge to give you a loader rock song and the higher (thin ones) gives you a better sound while still being able to get a crunchy rock sound. something like that, I'm no expert. But they also make normal Ernie ball strings, they're like 5-8 bucks depending. The amp i have is cool to jam with, more of a practice amp than anything. It's called the Fender G dec (theres 2 different models 15 and 30 watts.) the 15 watt one is like 350 i think. The cool thing about it is that you can play drum loops and bass loops, and kind of jam with yourself. It says like "band in a box" on it, which i suppose is sorta what it is. Though i realize alot of serious music maker would question my purchase.
