sauzer this is pretty hot man! You really hit me with a lot in this. I feel like your arrangement is totally solid. All I can really give at this point is preferences, but you did some kickass work. I feel like the drums overall are really treble dominated. A lot of high frequencies. Maybe bringing up the bass a little big? I dunno. The only thing I can say about the piece as a whole is that it's a bit angular in terms of instrument cutoffs, probably specifically in the bass. Maybe a little reverb? I wish I could be of more help. I feel like this needs to be fuller, just take up more space sound wise. Please don't let this post confuse you. But I really dig it and hope that it makes it on the site at some point.

If i transpose the bass down an octave, it'll go out of the physical playing range!! but i agree with the reverb, I'm working on that now.

I really enjoy listening to this. I really like what you've got going on sonically here--I love the drums, and i love the chiptune sound to it. You've also got some nice counterpoint going on. I'm not a fan of the wierd chirpy things, but that's not a big deal (i think they could be less frequent/less long). I listen to this a lot actually, in the car, when walking, it's really cool. At first I didn't appreciate it that much, which is why I'm not posting this until now. After a while i really started to dig it's style. Nice job

Okay i know that this is a triple post but I don't care screw you guys. I have used a Hammond B3 organ for my lead sound as reccomended by someone (forgot who sorry!) in irc, Chavous' livekit and bass soundfonts that he reccomended, and a simple piano soundfont. I can't find for the life of me saxophone soundfonts. What else should i do on the production end? I tried to mess around with the saxophone GM sounds but that's not gonna get me far. Yaay arrangement is done! At least I think. Any more arrangement ideas are welcome, i'm sure i'll continue to add stuff in as I go. Now to make these sounds better. Oh yeah, i replaced the lead with an organ, as someone reccomended. I think i like it better, but i'm not totally satisfied. So my gf was over today and she said that she thought that the lead instrument sounded out of place--but only the lead. Any thoughts as to what to use? I was thinking of trying bowed vibes...? Anyway, while i was in the shower i decided to completely revamp the solo section (which will still be live). I set up my vibes today and i'm psyched. UPDATE: January 1, 2007 I've expanded the arrangement a bit, i need to end it soon. If you guys can reccomend some good soundfonts, that'd be great too. Specifically for the drumset, i need a good acoustic kit, relatively high tuning, that can be funky. I'm thinking about asking the prophet of mephisto to record saxes.
