Cool idea for a blog, zircon. That theme you picked is really weak though. Some suggestions: - use wp's clean url option. /?p=11 is a lousy url, whereas /lg-and-omnifone launch-unlimited-music-service-for-mobile-phones is intuitive, easy to read and, most importantly, ranks higher in search engines. - your theme needs SOMETHING about music in it. speakers, guitars, keyboards, anything. dogs? cities? no good dude. - lotta cool wp plugins you could utilize, such as comment captcha utilities. - having a "who runs this" kind of about section in a sidebar is a good idea. lets people know who you are and relates them to you. If you really want your blog to thrive, I'd recommend reading about every article on problogger.net. Crazy. Anyway good luck!

Anyway I recently completed a website I thought some of you may find useful: dirtybeta.com It's a software release aggregator, meaning it's a tool to inform folks about new software coming out. Some examples are: - OC ReMiX Store 2 - All video game releases (usually updated Tuesdays) - New Wii and DS games - Audio applications - All Macintosh software And these all have corresponding RSS versions you can subscribe to. So you can use it to inform yourself about what's new, or as a tool to promote your own software. A new OCR site project or the release of VGMixX would be examples. VSTs and audio software are others. Anyway, hope you find this useful and sorry if you find this spammy. (feedback is nice too!)

It's important to note that FL is a VST host and Reason is not. There are tons of free VSTs out there, so it would be easy to get new sounds. Either way, my vote is Reason. For more advanced DAWs I'd choose something more comprehensive and intuitive like Logic or Cubase.
