You know, I'm just gonna be honest here: you should seriously stop creating a separate topic for everything you're just going to share from your personal Youtube channel anyway; merging all the topics you've made into a single thread seems like it would be a fantastically good idea at this point. That's up to the mods though. As for my opinion on this and your other...remixes...I'm not going to waste words here. I think they suck. I think they're terrible. Maybe it's just me but I have this impression that you're so hung up on being all 'symphonic death metal' that you can't conceive of any different style of music or genre, that you're so hopelessly attached to this image of yourself as some kind of Anne Rice vampire that it's affecting your ability to branch out creatively and do something that people would actually want to listen to.

I've tried to play Iji but even with all the settings turned to low and run in windowed mode I still get visual lag on it, so I trashed it... I'm sure it's a very good game but stuttering in a shooter is unacceptable.

If that's your idea of a short list... Common practice is to make one or two requests at a time with the understanding that you're as like as not to have your request ignored in favor of something else, such as the remixer's personal preference... And then also the fact that there are dozens of mixes submitted every week, most of which will get NO across the board and never revisited because the submitter felt the pieces were good enough the first time... So in short, yeah, pare that list down and keep your fingers crossed. Maybe you'll get lucky.

THE POINT IS Blizzard is not doing ANYTHING to retain their fanbase and in fact these draconian measures are actually pushing people away from investing time and money in anything with the Blizzard or Activision stamp on it. Imagine if Bioware or whatever said you weren't allowed to play Mass Effect anymore because you downloaded and installed third-party mods to alter your game experience. This is EXACTLY what Blizzard is doing every time they ban someone from multiplayer for 'cheating' in the single-player campaign or, even worse, when lock them out of playing the game, period. It's insane and I for one am not going to support the company as long as they are resorting to such extremes, and it's my suggestion that nobody else support them, either. Boycott Blizzard!

Dear Sega: experimenting is nice but don't attenuate it to the point that you can't recognize the core elements that made the games fun to begin with. Also stop making crap.

By your logic everyone who's ever uploaded an AMV should be banned as well. The real world doesn't really work like that, though, so, wishful thinking. It's not like he was going out claiming to be the owner of any of the music; he had all the proper copyright information and composers listed with every video submission. And on top of that, he had uploaded quite a few total gamerips and original sound versions which I consider to be in most cases superior to arrangements and remixes for the pure fact that it's the music you listened to growing up and the music you had fond memories for. Now, given also that he had supplied users with the means to listen to soundtracks that might not have been available through other means, this is actually a major blow to music appreciators everywhere and fans of video game music in particular. While I don't have any personal interaction with him beyond having listened to the audio experience he provided me with, this is still an immense disappointment and personally I hope he comes around here to link us to a torrent or something just to flip the bird at those silly bastards who banned him.

My attendance is contingent on two things--Having a means of getting there, and having someone to room with. My one chance to play Reach in the last 14 days was crushed by the fact that my nephew and his buddy were playing co-op the whole time... also Master Chief gets a LOT of alone time in Halo, 2 and 3.

There's a lot of games you can't play with a controller and a lot of games you shouldn't play, period. Certain commenters' personal experiences notwithstanding there is not now nor has there ever been any indication that the FPS on the PC is going to go extinct, and regardless of whatever 'facts' people may present I will stick firm to the belief that they are not doing proper research. As it stands to claim that nobody plays FPS on PC is utter lunacy and more to the point misinformed to the point of cloistered idiocy.

Games like Metroid can have story, but it shouldn't interrupt the gameplay for ten minutes at a time, and I also have to agree that someone who's faced the same nemesis multiple times over the course of her career should not under any stretch of the imagination be freezing up at the sight of him. It'd be like Sonic having a panic attack every time the Egg Carrier showed up in the sky or Dr. Robotnik came at him with some kind of machine. No, Metroid can have story, but it should be coincidental to the player actions and in my opinion (nothing humble about it) be revealed partially through elements of the environment as you're passing through it. I also have to disagree with Master Yoshi on the characterization they've given Samus. I picture her more as a hardened veteran who is used to isolation and dealing with threats with all the tools in her arsenal at her discretion, and also as the sort of being to point her gun at anyone who tries to interdict the terms of her mission. NOT as someone who stands by and lets a bunch of soldiers run up on her objective and point their machine guns at her--Samus doesn't take that shit. If you point your gun at her you'd better mean to pull the trigger immediately.

* I'm actually worried about there being a cooperative campaign in Portal 2. If I've learned anything from playing games online is that players are selfish griefers whose only goal in life is to make you fail at the tasks you are given.

My vote is for either Sidewinder or (though I absolutely LOATHE it) Boarding Action.

You know, there's something to be said for verifying your claims before you make them. I mean, half of everything for the PC involves first person and shooting in some way. Saying that "nobody plays FPS on PC anymore" is like saying nobody buys autos with the Dodge brand on them.

Nothing was ever proven and besides if YOU'D spent your childhood roaming around the country performing with your brothers while being subjected to modes of transport that absolutely terrified you and a father who used beatings as punishment for everything no matter how minor you'd grow up kind of screwy, too. Ah well. I don't think that the late Michael deserves the title of Best Artist Ever, though. He may have been the King of Pop but part of pop music is personality and presentation and he recorded a few stinkers like every other performer out there. Point of fact is he's not on some unreachably high level and he never was.
