Yeah well I'd never play on a 24/7 nocrit server. Teamtalk is great, but nocrits? Seriously? :\

I see colors when I write music. The opening harp to "Ancient Hero" is blues and violets, but the section in the middle with the main Zelda theme has lots of reds and oranges. "Just a Little More (Prime Edit)" is lots of ice grays and some light green; "Thicket" is (intentionally) the same color. "Dream Pipe" is pastel blues and greens, and "A Whisper and a Shadow" is a deep, dark violet.

Can we get back to discussing actual design issues, instead of making stupid sidebar-ban jokes?

All the stuff about prioritizing the player and improving the experience is just lip service. Activision just wants to sell map packs. It's not about cheating or hacking or anything like that. Activision's modus operandi is to "exploit" their properties, and the easiest way to do that is by charging us for content that would normally be available to PC gamers for free. There's no question in my mind that Activision is going to roll out some kind of IWNet Marketplace after this game drops. They want to cash in, so they're building an infrastructure that gives them control.

A couple of people have had that issue. Check your spam folders and the like. OCR's been doing a fair number of mailouts in the past year or so, and spam filters might be seeing emails coming from admin@ocremix.org as spam.

Make sure you get around to reading it, mainly because it's fantastic, but also because it's going to have a massive effect on the DCU once it's finished.

So every week I go to the comic shop and buy a load of comic books. I am a big fan of superhero books and pretty much all the superhero stuff I read right now is from DC. This thread is for discussing all the stuff going on in the DCU right now. So right now there are a couple of really great, big storylines going on: Blackest Night, which is DC's big event that came out of the Green Lantern storylines; World Without Superman, which is running through all the Superman books and explores all the New Krypton stuff going on; and Batman Reborn, which runs through the Batman books and explores how the Batman family is carrying on after Bruce Wayne's supposed death. Is anyone else reading, or am I the only one? I'm really digging what's going on in the DCU right now.

So because my GFX card on my desktop is having issues (causing my computer to freeze), I tried playing TF2 on my laptop. Apparently when I turn my settings all the way down it runs very very well! It's a little weird though; the framerate was so smooth that it looking like heavies were running really fast/covering a lot of distance. I guess I'm just used to something a little slower?
