  1. OK. Leaving it unlocked would probably lead to a flamewar anyway.
  2. I like it. (b¯^¯)>
  3. SNES emulation on PSP sucks. Forget about any game with Mode 7 anything.
  4. I have both, and let me tell you, if I had to pick one or the other, I think I'd just kill myself instead. Both systems are fantastic, but I'm just gonna say that DS just slightly edges out PSP in terms of game library; it's such a joy to play. My library of purchased DS games is pretty big; so many hours dumped into playing that system. I can't even begin to name all the great games. D: PSP is no slouch though; games like Crisis Core and Jeanne D'Arc are essential to my existence. Don't forget about Final Fantasy Dissidia coming next year; fantastic game. Also, PSP actually is a Playstation Portable; once you hack it with custom firmware, you can rip your PSX games and load them as ISOs and (after some file conversions) play right off your memory card. The emulation of PSX games is flawless.
  5. I can't believe you just called his music shit. You're a horrible person.
  6. Wow! This soundtrack is great. I love that big orchestral sound in these pieces. Nice beats too. EVERYBODY DOWNLOAD THIS!
  7. You can critique the work without being a dick. Knock it off. Thanks for posting this Gene. Always nice to see folks from the industry posting here.
  8. “And in the time of greatest despair there shall come a savior and he shall be known as: THE SON OF THE SUN.” —Journal of the Whills, 3:12
  9. Just an FYI, Soundtempest is fed into OCR's Twitter, so you can keep up with it that way too.
  10. Heh. Thanks for the zip mirror. My point about digg and slashdot is less about bandwidth and more that I don't want non-OCR people listening to the tracks by the newbies that contributed to the project and basically just saying "there are a lot of shitty tracks on this album ocr sux." They're not shitty tracks, but there are some on this album that you can tell the artist is still new to the craft. The point of this project was never to create a super-awesome-end-all-Super-Metroid-remix-bonanza. It's a well-wishing album from our community where the sentiment counts more than anything else. I don't want to take that away from everyone who tried their best by subjecting them to the criticisms of assholes who simply would not get the point.
  11. Oh Jill. You poor thing. I mean seriously. THIS GUY?
  12. There's no torrent, no zip.
  13. Doesn't that go against everything that defines the Hunter? He's pouncing on you to kill you. An AI controlled hunter would never get off of you to go around and pounce other people. You pounce, you do what you can to kill the guy. Playing infected isn't about staying alive; hell that's why the Hunter achievement is just getting two pounces in a single life. It's considered an achievement to manage two pounces before getting killed.
  14. There's something oddly sinister about this statement. Like... Enjoy life. While you still can! muahahahahahahahahahhahaha
  15. It doesn't have zyko's track, which is partly my fault, because the tracklist I posted didn't have zyko's track.
  16. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=19974 Kind of relevant. Happy wedding/marriage.
  17. Super Metroid: Reserve Tank ~ VARIAtions ~ A Get-Well-Soon Community Album for bLiNd ———————————————————— http://reservetank.darkesword.com/ ReMixer bLiNd was pretty sick. We wanted him to feel better, so we did a remix album of his favorite game, Super Metroid. Veterans and newbies alike participated. I think it was a great success. Please don't post this to digg or slashdot or anything like that. It's not meant to be a big OCR Project release. It's a small project just for the community; also, I don't want to have to pay extra for bandwidth/hosting issues. The quality of the tracks also covers a broad spectrum; like I said, veterans and newbies alike participated, and it shows—though I think everyone here will enjoy the music regardless. I could still use some help for mirrors. If you can help out with that, please get all of the files and upload them to your webspace and provide me with a URL. It's very easy for StarZander to add a mirror, so the more the better. Also for the artists who didn't provide a write-up: if you still want to, we can add that in. Just PM me. Before anyone asks, no, there isn't a torrent, and there are no lossless versions of the tracks. Enjoy.
  18. The groom takes the bride's garter and tosses it to unmarried men. The person who catches it will be the next to marry. The bride throwing the bouquet is actually an offshoot of this, not the other way around. Anyhow, congratulations.
  19. Talking to djpretzel right now; should be implemented today, unless Larry decides to be a poopyhead. EDIT: Larry is not a poopyhead. OPs can now rename their threads by changing the title of the first post!!!!
  20. No they weren't. xD The entire point of the previous lockdowns was to go through the catalog of OC ReMixes and get rid of all the stuff that should never have been posted in the first place, based on the standards at the time they were posted. There was no qualitative revote being done, comparing mixes of old to standards of today. The lockdowns were getting rid of stuff that were violations in the first place that hadn't been caught when they were posted.
