  1. Is it just me or does anyone else get the impression that there is some anomaly with how everyone posts in this thread? I mean, there have to be some of you that are more excited about some other game, perhaps more than Brawl? No, I'm not trying to troll, I'm just thinking about it. I mean, we have Galaxy coming out in a few days, and this is still getting more posts (like this one, for instance). This thread seems to be the black hole of OCR, sucking in the various posts on this forum that would otherwise go to other game threads. I know, I know, this game is going to awesome, and I'm very excited about it too. It just seems weird, you know? This thread has more posts than the Wii thread itself! I don't get it.
  2. You better keep it and beat the whole thing, else Phanto from Super Mario Bros. 2 is going to come to life and devour your soul.
  3. Only played it for 5 to 10 minutes. I like the music too. Graphics are pretty control is very smooth. When I get my copy, I'm turning the lights off and the music up to get that space atmosphere. Yes, music is very much like a space-opera. All hail Fire Mario!
  4. Doesn't this kinda go against the idea of 'remixing' and this site that 'remixes' video game music, and your group, who 'remixes' and 'reinterprets' music written by Japanese composers?
  5. Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon SORT OF YES - When I beat this game, I immediately started another quest. It's that good. In my opinion, it's strategy RPG sex. The gameplay is simply deep, and awesome. Even with the graphics and physics games have today, few have matched the psychological strength in this game. Even many of today's RPG have shallow battles that can be won simply by using the most powerful spells and attacks and filling up on potions. This is not one of those games. It forces you to be creative in developing your own strategies (there are many). Every battle means something. If you die, it is because of your inadequacy. If you win, it because you played right. And you have 12 party members at a time, out of a total of 30 characters, who are all unique and useful because of some odd ability or advantage. This game is awesome. The only reason I give it a 'sort of yes' is because I only own the virtual console version of the original Genesis version. If you claim to be a real RPG fan, you should download it immediately ( providing you have a Wii console as well). If you don't, you are a bad person and I think negatively of you. Also, if you are good at this game, you could probably be good at chess too. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past WHAT - I am insulted that you think people should be allowed to question this game's awesomeness. This game is so awesome that when I play it people stop whatever they are doing sit down just to watch me play it. I'm not kidding at all. Do you know any other adventure/RPGs that make people do that? Maybe, but they are few and far between. It's also the best Zelda game ever by the way. This is probably the best game ever made. Not just for nostalgia's sake either. This game is awesome and cheap to find on virtual console, GBA, or SNES, or emulator. If you haven't at least tried to beat it once, then I don't like you and you are not invited to my party. YES. Metroid: Zero Mission YES - This game is awesome and even better than the original, which is one of the best NES games ever made. It's also harder too. I borrowed Zero Mission from a friend and beat it. Why should you own it? Because it has lots of cool guns in a side-scrolling, alien setting with lots of exploration and danger around every corner. Every item has an actual use as well, as opposed to the games which introduce useless items that are not required to proceed to a special area. There are also multiple endings and the music is good too. And the Zero Suit. I deserve to get my stupid face kicked in for not buying a new, untampered copy of it and building a shrine for it in my living room.
  6. I was hoping that people would stop remixing Chrono Trigger, but now that Jay-Z himself is doing it, I think I'm going to go bash my head into a wall.
  7. How are you playing it right now? Did you import it? European? Gamestop kiosk? Pirate?
  8. They are absolutely fucking awful. Although they create a universal theme for Nintendo's games, it's just worn out and cheesy (Metroid Prime 3's ad sucked too) Nintendo needs to get back to making good commercials, like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvljN9ycqLg Maybe Nintendo should show footage of the game with an announcer saying "Whoa, it's Mario in space! You can't beat that! Buy it, if not for yourself, for your Grandma or your shitty stepson. Only on Wii, which is the only system that you can get a woman to play with" Edit: Nevermind my random outburst, I just agree with you on the fact Nintendo needs to make some slight alterations to its marketing strategy.
  9. Bought the game last night. I got ran over by a huge boulder. Will continue tonight.
  10. Actually, I like Foo Fighters, especially The Colour And The Shape. My complaint is that a spammer laid this thread down (along with three others) and we're eating it up like fish bait.
  11. Has anyone ruled out Wolf-Link yet? Do we already know Link's down+B special?
  12. Quit spamming, and besides, the Foo Fighters stopped rocking almost a decade ago.
  13. I don't think he really cares about Slipknot. I think he's a spammer. You should look at his post history.
  14. Megaman 2 - Dr. Wily Stage. Do I really need to say anything else?
  15. I hate to bring you out into the light, but I'm afraid that you're wrong about that one.
  16. ^ Hell yeah. Apparently, all the good children's programs when to DVDs and youtube. If you don't want your kids watching shitty cartoons, you better go shopping.
  17. Happy motherfucking Halloween everybody!
  18. Super Mario 64 - YES, of course. This is actually a must-own game, not just one that's 'worthy of purchase' It's tons of fun and has a cool atmosphere. There's tons of challenge and it will take a mega hardcore gamer to unlock all 120 stars. Mega Man X6 - NO. A big fat gigantic NO. This is the worst of the X games, being slightly worse than 7. Poorly designed and uneven stages, unbalanced difficulty. It had weird systems that blocked out part of the vision and had little 'Zero viruses' attacking you in often unavoidable situations. Some of the bosses were tough while some can be destroyed by just standing and shooting rapidly. This game had every upgrade you could imagine, but rarely gave you situations where you could have fun with those upgrades because the rest of the game sucked. This game is a fucking piece of shit and shouldn't even be in the nominees. Mega Man X Collection and Mega Man Anniversary Collection are must own games (really), not this piece of crap. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - NO. This is a cool game, and it's fun to play. Unfortunately, there are many better Zelda games and non-Zelda gamers would hate it. The big thing that messed this game up (although the game was built around it) was the fact everything was time based. It sucked having to do things again and again and again. It's a must have for every Zelda fan, but for everyone else, it's a big fuck NO. Wolfenstein 3D - NO. This was a fun game back in the heyday, but this game is now running on nostalgia alone. There are a bajillion FPS's that are much better in every regard. Yes, it's still fun, but 'fun' doesn't make a 'must own' game.
  19. work - ITunes (No I don't use their store those greedy bastards) home - winamp
  20. Killer update. Absolutely killer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Halloween - I hope they will announce Ashley as a playable character and maybe her own stage too.
  21. I think a power metal remix of the credits theme would be perfect.
  22. Cool, I'm going as Toad and my lady's going as Toadette. It was a pain in the ass to make the hats, but I think it will be worth the work. I don't quite have the short, harmless appearance of Toad so I think it will be funny looking.
  23. Bump bitches. It's about six days from Halloween. Take a break from debating Smash Brothers and tell us what you are going to be.
  24. Thank you very much for helping me clear things up. But we don't hate you robot angel man. You're still alright with us.
  25. No speakers on this machine, but I'm a big fan of DD2 and I will check out later with my Ipod. The official Japanese soundtrack to the game is actually quite rad and the production is authentic 80's niceness. http://doubledragon.classicgaming.gamespy.com/music/musicdd2.html
