Well, initially, this project was concieved at the same time as a project on making Steven Pressfield's novel Gates of Fire into a film. IMO Pressfield's account is the best portrayal of Thermopylae currently available. However, Gates has stumbled and is currently sitting in Limbo while 300 got pushed through on the wave of sucess of Sin City. I heartily suggest anyone who is interested in the Battle of Thermopylae to read Gates. On a completely unbiased note, I have come to the conclusion that 300 is the manliest movie ever. Period.

My high school's AD went with the Girl's Soccer team to some weekend tournament. While he was gone, about 10 of my friends and I dissassembled his car and rebuilt it on second floor of the main building.

My entire battalion bought out the midnight showing. It was every bit as stylistic and gruesome as I had hoped. I sat front row center, and could practically taste the gore. Personally, I loved how they tracked the dismembered limbs in flight. And the Rhino scene was great.

This is such a slick ambient piece. I love the bassline. The hip-hop influences are apparent. Very good Job.

I really like how the song rolls in out of the basic intro. Very well done.

Very different from the other Cotmm mixes. I like this one, excellent use of drum and bass. Yet it maintains a feel for the original song.

The guitar is very well done. Not your typical JAXX track.

A very Funky mix of the Zeal theme. IMO, one of the best arrangements of the pre-jp era of OCR.

I still think carnival more than disco when I hear this, but it's good nonetheless. Very Happy-Go-Lucky.

Schala's theme has been done often, but often done well. This is one of those. It's a very atmospheric piece, which relies on a hi-hat for the beat as opposed to a bassline alot of mixes rely upon. Very nice job.

Well, I think that CPac has proven himself an excellent pianist time and again. I am a big fan of his work on the Xenogears: Light album. However, I think there are points where overembellishes this song. It's still an excellent piece, but 600 AD in Piano just sounds a lot cleaner.

I wish I could have seen the look on Zircon's face when we told him where we wound up...

But the coloring for the ink is provided by adding some carbon from the smoking hole that used to be UnMod.

Go wolverine, it makes the whole party stronger, especially with the amount of Melee characters we have.

I like this one much more than the Temporal Rehab mix. It seems more complete. The voice clips are used very well, and it creates a very dark ambience for the song.

Eh, not really the type of style I like. Way too sparse, sometimes less is more, but it needs a little more here to hold my attention.

A very minimalist piece. Well done, though. It conveys the loneliness of that middle stretch of the game. Good Job.

Very well done, I think the Breakbeats do detract from the piece, but don't let that keep you from downloading this song. It is an amazing work, the ethnic-orchestral fusion works very well.

It seems very similar to the original piece until he brings in the bassline at 0:40. After that, it retains the exotic feel of the original piece, but it doesn't expand on it a whole lot.

Excellent piano driven mix. I love how it transitions to a new tempo at the 4:32 mark, and then scales back. Very well done.

The piano at the start is a little deceptive, but when the electronica starts in at around 0:35, you can really feel this mix starting to gear up. It quickly bursts into a full bloom electronic masterpiece. Very well executed.
