  1. WELL, THEN! It 'twas several nights before Christmas, and all through the condo, Many things were stirring, both small and quite mondo. No stocking were hung, because I don't have a chimney, And stringing up socks just comes off a bit grimly. The Pokémon plushies were huddled around the tree, Looking for gifting on this (not quite) Christmas Eevee. They merely wondered around the festive decor, Wishing for at least one gift, if not a few more. "Oh my gooooood, why is life so boring?" When from across the couch, there arose such a noise, That each and every one of them struck a dramatic poise! Onward they gazed onto a most wondrous sight, As their eyes fell upon the best gift of the night! "No. Fucking. Way." Santa Chu, or Pika Claus, if you prefer, had arrived. Through many difficulties, his personage had strived. His christmas bag, filled to the top of the brim, With gifts for all, both for her and for him. "Pika Claus didn't have your measurements. Sorry." For Uxie, the Lake Pokémon, The Being of Knowledge, He gave books and pens, for his application to college. Uxie strained with tremendous might and toil, To heave this giant gift, wrapped in red Santa foil. "Remember when we used to hang out in Hoenn? Good times, good times..." For Treeko the Grass type starter, who is proudly green, Pika Claus gifted him a brand new juicing machine. While not one for juices, smoothies and froths, Treeko was still happy it wasn't yet more woolen clothes! (Continued on next post...)
  2. I received confirmation that my gift(s) (the ons I'm giving, not getting) shipped and should be there around the 18th or so.
  3. I have that Vaporeon from last year. Choice plush: confirmed.
  4. Gifts sent. I was going to order striper-grams, but it seems you are no longer allowed to mail people anymore. Plus, the shipping would be like, at least twenty more bucks, and fuck that noise. Not to mention having to give them food and something to read or something for the duration of the delivery route. Not worth it.
  5. http://linkshideaway.com/2014/12/2-symphony-of-the-goddesses-returns-in-2015-with-master-quest/ Three showings within relative short distances. I loved the first one I went to a few years ago, and I have no problem hitting up another.
  6. In the (likely) event that my Secret Santa hasn't gotten anything for me yet, I would like to just point out my Steam Wishlist. Sure, there isn't much on it, but just a thought. Might make me a LOT easier to deal with.

  8. Oh god, don't you start with that. Someone will take it and run with it. 2015: The Year Everyone Wanted Wind Waker on 3DS.
  9. There. You got it. Stop demanding it all the time. You're welcome. Yours truly, Nintendo
  10. Get the things and stuffs, and put them in a box. Apply some good ol' tape, Adhere a stamp with paste, Add a label, when you're able, and then you're good to go.
  11. I am nowhere near that level of Club Nintendoness. So... if anyone has a spare NA code... and you don't want it anymore... PM me?
  12. If I recall correctly, Gabe Newell himself must allow you to join Steam, then he deigns one of his archangels to inquisition you until you prove worthy enough to join the OCRemix group. Or just join, and the person that mods the group will add you.
  13. The only part I didn't really like was the scene where Rocket starts crying about how he's suffered because of the experiments that were done to him. He's a fucking talking raccoon with guns, I don't need to hear about his boo-hoos. It felt really tacked on and completely betrayed the impression I had of him. Having never read the comics, I cant tell if this is normal for his character, or even for all the characters, but it really ruined my liking of him up to that point. Thankfully, it was over and done with quickly, and he got back to being cool and entertaining again. But it still felt shoved into the script for no reason. Aside from that, would see again, hope the sequel is as good or even better.
  14. Hundreds of songs have used the same technique (which I'm sure a more music knowledgeable member here can properly name), before and after that movie came out, so it's hardly the exclusive domain of either The Jungle Book or the Legend of Zelda. You're reading (or more appropriately, hearing) too much into something that isn't really there.
  15. Is it too late to take all credit now? Because I'd love to. I'm glad the project ended up in the right hands. I honestly think that you guys did a better job than I would have been able to. Thanks for keeping it alive and thanks even more for completing it during this last year.
  16. We certainly don't have giant trees right now, no-sir-ee. Can't imagine what already old giant tress would be like without industrial lumbering would grow like. Maybe into even bigger giant trees? And, like, lots of them, since there's no one to cut them down any more? You know, because of all the people that would harvest them being dead for centuries. Those giant trees might have a long time to grow uninterrupted. One does not speak of statements, only to claim metaphors afterwards.
  17. Scene for scene, word for word so far. Can we apply a spoilers tag to the title? Because if we're going to discuss this show/manga (which is still going, and not everyone has seen all of yet) we're going to start exposing a lot of stuff. Potential Spoilers: The one theory that makes the most sense is that the world of Attack on Titan is actually our world, centuries from now, after a massive war. The Titans are actually bio-tech weapons that have since run a mock, and the city is the last refuge of humanity because whatever the war was, humanity lost big time. We know that the 3D maneuvering system and the swords are remnants from the past, as stated in the story. The knowledge needed to make sturdy, razor sharp blades of quality, but also mass-produced, is a technological hurdle that would require a highly industrialized civilization. The cables for the gear are light, thin, and ridiculously strong for the use of constantly being shot around and pulling a human being at high speeds. The gas-powered system for shooting the cables... hell, the targeting system for the cables, on the swords, is well beyond the abilities of their current technology level. They mention how there used to be Asians (as in, the people we have in our world) until most of them were lost to Titan attacks (and unfortunately, human trafficking). The majority of the city appears to be mostly European in appearance and naming. It's possible that the location is actually in Europe and any non-European heritage is simply the people that were stuck in that part of the world at the time of the war. The technology used to create the giant walls of the city would have required massive efforts to engineer and build with just human power and basic engineering like wooden cranes. But with things like modern cranes, heavy-lift helicopters and material engineering, it would be a lot easier and faster. I do recall something about when the Titans first attacked, they "built the city as fast as they could". It took 40 years for the Great Pyramid to be made, and it's a fraction of the size and mass that the city walls would require. It makes sense that the world of Attack on Titan is actually a post-apocalyptic world recovering from massive losses of technology and civilization. Finally, we have the lack of knowledge of the Titans themselves. It's entirely possible that whatever government or organization that built the city didn't have the time or means to properly archive their information on the Titans. If there was a war, and it was a brutal enough defeat that they had to hide behind walls, it's entirely possible that the people that knew the most about the Titans simply didn't survive long enough to share that info. Combine that with a few centuries of isolation, with a pinch or two of loss of general scientific knowledge, and you get a civilization that has high-tech weapons, but has to use horses for transport and cannons for defense. They simply don't have the means or knowledge anymore to do better. The only question that is left is... who? Who started the war? Who created the Titans? Who used them? But as I said, it's just a theory.
  18. Ants are insects. Insects are animals. Animals derive their energy from ingesting food. Animal eats something, they digest it, they get energy from it. Solar energy is obtained either through photosynthesis, which on this planet, is the sole domain of plants (which animals aren't) or electrical technology, like solar cells, that generate electricity when exposed to light. So unless you're going to tell us that ants are plants, technology, or both...
  19. So in 3rd gen remakes news, Secret Bases are back in ORAS! http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/the-secret-is-out-on-super-secret-bases/ And they're looking niiiiice.
  20. http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-news/pokemon-orchestral-concert-tour-announced/ So far, it's just in Washington, DC and Philadelphia, but at least it's a start! More venues are stated as coming, so there's a chance it will be in and/or near a city you live in! I've been waiting for something like this for years, ever since I went to my first Video Games Live! concert. I know it's expensive and difficult, but I really do wish more games could do these kinds of performances more. The Zelda 25th concert was fucking amazing, and that's not even my favorite series.
  21. Ah, what wonderful timing, then. This just arrived today. The second book should be out later this summer and the third book early next year.
