  1. I'm assuming that this is "what [you] [had] planned for the fall"? As awesome as this is going to be, are we still going to have the Maverick battle?
  2. "Interestingly, what Stallman holds as his highest ideal (making software accessible to the masses) is precisely what he hasn’t managed to achieve, while Jobs abundantly did." Is he just jealous?
  3. Microsoft is okay if you like unstable operating systems. Windows is a C++ clone of Macintosh's OS. Try reading the Apple v. Microsoft opinion sometime. It was Microsoft openly admitted in court that they stole Mac's design features, but their defense was that they had the license to do so. Microsoft scammed Apple with an agreement that Apple's idiot legal team didn't read in 1985. Also, I don't know what your sister and her husband did to their iPods to make them break so easily, but I still have mine from early 2007, and it works great. Anyhow, we have Steve Jobs to thank for the GUI being available on PCs - Windows included - so I hope Apple has a great backup plan because last time he left, the company approached bankruptcy. EDIT: Incorrect. Xerox's GUI had solved some of the problems that Apple was having in developing the Lisa, but it was anything but a carbon copy. At most, Xerox's system inspired Apple's development team to keep pushing ahead with the project by showing them that their problems could be solved. Also, Xerox didn't exactly "give up" on it. The top brass at Xerox weren't interested in anything being developed that didn't have anything to do with photocopiers.
  4. What he said. I still liked it quite a bit, though!!
  5. I like it. I think you'll probably get some criticism on the polish/samples, but the arrangement is actually pretty good. I was getting pretty impatient waiting for more GRMRB mixes, and this one doesn't disappoint!
  6. The 2010 GRMRB Album was cancelled, unfortunately: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31160
  7. Nice style choice. A bit different than your usual stuff, but I like it. The actual arrangement wasn't terribly risky, though I'll leave it to your brother to give actual critiques on it, though.
  8. Unfortunately, with the email sent to all OCR members urging them to vote for Jillian Aversa, you are effectively competing against the officially OCR endorsed participant in the competition. Thanks to this endorsement, her lead seems almost insurmountable. Voted for you anyway though.
  9. I always thought the Godzilla and Gamera episodes were some of the funniest, but part of that may be because I was so into kaiju as a kid. 212 - Godzilla vs. Megalon 213 - Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster 302 - Gamera 304 - Gamera vs. Barugon 308 - Gamera vs. Gaos 312 - Gamera vs. Guiron 316 - Gamera vs. Zigra
  10. I meant to ask you earlier: do you have the lyrics to your GRMRB 2011 entry "Encapsulated Heat"?

  11. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Lanterns In short, they are part of a newer "emotional spectrum" group of characters related to Green Lanterns Red = Rage Orange = Avarice Yellow = Fear (Think Sinestro) Green = Willpower Blue = Hope Indigo = Compassion Violet = Love (Star Sapphire Corp)
  12. LOL "What's a samoflange?" Nice obscure reference in this episode... EDIT: YouTube link:
  13. Haven't gone through all of them, but #17 is Robot from the Lost in Space movie, and #51 is Zeta from the Zeta Project (DC Animated Universe TV series)
  14. How's about people head over to the Exhibition match thread now and start making requests (or better yet, remixes) for artists they want to see do an exhibition match?
  15. Don't want to ruin this week's episode, but the ending is fucking sweet. I like it a lot so far. From the various hints they've dropped throughout the show, I get the impression that these Thundarians are the descendants of the original ThunderCats, or at least some loosely interpreted version of them. Really looking forward to future episodes
  16. Okay, how's this for on-topic... What was your hardest vote in the competition? Mine was the first round match up between TheGuitahHeroe and Gario. I'm fairly selective with the music that I listen to repeatedly, and I still listen to both of these on a regular basis. I still don't think that I'd be able to conclusively pick one over the other, it really just depends on the mood that I'm in.
  17. Looking for anyone to remix anything from the Godzilla NES game. the Jupiter theme and Saturn theme are great in particular, but anything would be awesome.
  18. This, like your other work, is really great. I've only just become aware of your stuff since the GRMRB, but I'm really liking what you've produced so far. Did you ever end up submitting that Southern Face Shrine remix from Zelda: Link's Awakening? One of my personal favorites
  19. You shouldn't, because your mix was awesome. Your loss was one of many examples of situations where both mixers should have advanced.
  20. Yeah, I have to agree. I think both mixes were pretty good, and improvements over your previous entries in the competition, but SilvernixSP's mix's transitions could have stood to be a bit smoother. It was nice that it surprised you when you heard the other song pop up in the middle of the other theme, and I wonder if there's some way to preserve that while also smoothing out the transitions. Keep bringing out those mixes! More mixers need to get involved!!
  21. Mega Man and Bass was never off limits (Ground Man has always been chosen), but good question on the Stardroids
  22. Thanks, everyone. Now it's time for me to get some actual work done (meaning stuff that I will get paid for)
