That actually depends... If you're talking about the original G1 Transformers continuity, then yes, she's there alright. But if you're talking about the newer comics, they explicitly state that Transformers hold no gender, so she has been taken out for that sake. Just so you all now, the original Transformers storyline goes -all- the way to the very end of the Beast Wars/Beast Machines saga. It could get very lame, but the attention seems to be solely focused on the Autobots and Decepticons, not their more feral counterparts.

This is quite doubtful. Think of a weaker version of Fox/Falco blaster for neutral B. Then think of Sheik whip for side B. There you have your "pistol mode" and "whip mode" all in one. The theories that I think will hold on this one are a lighter and faster Samus without her signature moves, which include her morphball, arm cannon, missles, grapple beam, flamethrower, and obviously morphball bombs. Now a question I'd like to speculate on is how she'll grapple. Will it be close to her beam by using her whip? Or will it be a standard grapple. I hate to say it this way, but it seems that ZSS is replacing Sheik in terms of gameplay.

I'm thinking Tidal Wave or Depth Charge. I predict Astrotrain's appearance. Also, if there's no Six Shot, I'll be greatly disappointed...because he's just pure own.

I would hate to spoil it for you...but it's been done. Either watch the 1986 movie, or read the wiki. I recommend the movie, it's pretty awesome.

I understand that not all of the details have been given yet, and this is Sakurai's intention, but I'm just a little on edge about it because Samus is my main character for ownage. My bad. The reason I think that this has potential for massive fail is that if this is the -only- way to play ZSS then there may be a way to completely eliminate a character from even being played...which disappoints me.

Be careful what you say. It is dumb that you can't use her w/o final smash. But by no means does that mean she's "dumbed down". For all you know, the only real disadvantage she has is that she loses range, but maintains her awesome close-range combat capabilities. Regardless, I stated this in the beginning and I'll say it again: Binding a complete character to a move that cannot be accessed at will is stupid. If there were a transformation move, ala Zelda/Sheik, then it's fine because you can switch whenever you want and you don't have to become good with one in order to be good with the other (although you ought to become good with both to be competitive, but I digress). Putting it onto an item which presumably can be (and probably will be, in competitions) turned off, then you've completely eliminated an awesome idea. I've been pretty happy with all of these updates so far, but this is the only one that hints at massive failure.

If this isn't denial, then I don't know what is.

If you really wanted this topic to just talk about the event without this so called "banter" then you should accept the cold hard fact that this event is a LARP and that you just want people to participate.

The only sequel I would like to see is one that tries to follow the original movie's plot. Matrix of Leadership, Unicron, and the whole damn thing. It'd be outrageous and definitely couldn't be done without a movie (or two) in between, but that'd be freaking amazing to see the Autobots vs. OMFGPLANET fight with those animations.

Those version circulating online were the real thing. I've heard that there have been lots of C&D orders to even the bitorrent sites about it and/or the sites are taking them down on their own in order to avoid lawsuits.

I hear you there. I stated a while ago that if it was a switch due to final smash then you'd totally ruin the characters ZSS/Samus. I really hope the speculation about picking one or the other to start is true and then a final smash just changes them. That being said, I really hope they play similarly...and/or ZSS is strictly superior to Samus.

This isn't much different than Snorlax or Ho-oh or Onix. It happens in an area for a set duration that acts as a column spanning from top to bottom. It works. If you want to complain about one, complain about Lugia and Aeroblast. That sucked.

It's actually a riveting story about action, drama, and love. I recommend giving it a read because you're only on the second page. It's not that hard.

Your best bet would be research threads on the big fansites. Try the Smogon or Serebii forums. They tend to be good about this sort of thing.
