  1. I do that just to get rid of all the clutter in that damn window. Every time I make a character I ignore most of the side quests...but man do they make the quest window an eyesore.
  2. Needs more Kuribo! All kidding aside, congratulations man. Also, nicely done for an improvised essay.
  3. I don't know what to say about this game, lol.
  4. Anyway, Katti is a W/W. I change around her secondary just to cap elites and buy skills for my heroes, but I do enjoy going W/E most regularly in PvP for the fire-own...just need to get another good FDS...I was still a massive noob when I owned one on my friends acct. and customized it. >.>; I actually beat that temple of the six gods thing with almost complete H&H. My IRL friend wanted to do it with me since he was having trouble with pure H&H, but he's not exactly good at pug'ing. He doesn't manage aggro well and he likes to have control over most of the party. So we use a pseduo H&H setup where it's me, him, and his choice of heroes and henchmen that he controls. What keeps us out of trouble when we do this is that he can stay alive easier with his guys and I dont' die as long as I'm the one doing all the pulling and aggro management. So the setup was: Me - Str Swordie Him - Barrage Ranger Dunkoro - Healer, no elites, standard stuff Tahlkora - Exactly the same as Dunkoro Olias - MM Earth Henchie Motivation Hench Devona It was pretty easy all the way through. He didn't want to bonus even though we could have easily. If the final fight is the problem, there's an easy trick. You have to the two on the right hand side so that you aggro Lich first. You pull him out of the temple, then you show him a good time. Then you run around getting favor of the gods then rip Shiro apart. Well...that's the idea anyway. He messed up the aggro and pulled Shiro (i got worried at this point, lol) so we had to kill him first, which went well due to the earth henchie. After he went down we didn't feel like running any risks and just killed Lich (who's a pushover). I didn't die the entire time while tanking everything and maintained quite a nice morale boost. Anywho...an OCR guild is not the way to go. If nobody honestly cares except for the chance to play together, I'm going to make an alliance as an umbrella so you can join whatever guild you want within the alliance or you can bring your current guild if you lead one into it. That in mind, I don't want to be the one deciding the name for the thing, so start discussing the prospects. Speaking of being a style-whore: damn straight! Might as well look good as you kick some ass. Edit: Also try to have who has access to what in terms of the campaigns. I currently have access to everything and I'm certain of buying GW:EN.
  5. With the new hero system it usually -isn't- beneficial to get a group together to do a random mission...at least for all of Nightfall. Most of Factions was pretty easy too with just H&H. Haven't gone through Prophecies yet, but I'll get around to it when I get bored of FoW runs and random questing. This being said, I do want to go through Nightfall with at least two more characters. I currently use warrior ancient armor dyed white with a forgotten sword (quite the badass look) and I need both the str and tactics forgotten shields to finish out the look. =D
  6. Going -all- the way back to RE4: Wii, it's really quite good. Same system, nothing drastic...cept for a few things I have major and I do mean MAJOR qualms with. It's far too easy now. You don't have to deal with a small laser sight nor do you have to deal with Leon's naturally shaky hands. Instead you deal with your own. But, if you have decently steady hands (like myself) then this makes the game far too easy. The sight is well done and easy to see and the aiming system is spot-on. The extra content is well appreciated and fun, but it does take some getting used to in terms of the controls...I was flailing wildly for the first half hour until I decided I had to actually relearn the game.
  7. As long as it still retains the ability to grab so you can chomp on them a couple times, I'm happy.
  8. I appreciate the gesture, but I'll pass.
  9. Real names? Way to miss the bus, Bahamut. As for real names though, I come up twice on the first page, which is really quite surprising.
  10. If you have a two part name, you should try searching without the space/comma/hyphen/whatever. I've found that you'll find even more people who're using your name and other places where you used to reside. I've also had cases of people stealing my sig work and using it for themselves...under their own names but can't be bothered to change the name in the sig itself...bastards. >.>
  11. Fair point. My bad for bringing it up twice now. I wasn't active during the switch so I guess I missed my chance.
  12. Oh wow. I just realized that I'm the first hit on Google? That's pretty funny. Anyway, seriously now, did they remove the ability to change your name at will w/o going through a mod/admin? That's so lame.
  13. Wasn't there a way to change your name's appearance? I haven't attempted since the big forum switch...but I seriously want to change it to a simple eZ since I'm getting annoyed with seeing a full "eternal zero".
  14. I'll sometimes use it for aerials, but I don't tend to have a problem with fast falling or losing momentum as my intended attacks dictate my movements so I'm moving that direction anyway or I start my spike (my main is Samus, so I'm referring to her) as I jump so it cancels out the fast fall as she winds up for the hit. That is a good idea though, at least in my opinion for mid-air combat to mix up my playing style.
  15. This has happened to me before too, which shouldn't be a surprise considering the handle I use here. I've known people who've used very similar if not the same exact name (albeit in a different language or even in Korean texting slang). It happens, dude. Too many people online to have every single handle be original. It's a shame really, but you just have to stick to your guns and demand that the handle is yours and that while you may share it, you deserve to have it too.
  16. Bzzt. Sorry, RD, but it's Carian from the Magna Carta series. On topic: I never liked having quick smashes...made some people play better than they should have. I can whip out smashes consistently faster and more precise than anyone I know can with that C-Stick and they shouldn't be able to even get a single stock on my with their crappy C-Sticks...which they don't, but that's not the point. It makes it more accessible, sure, but it really limits you when you want to be able to charge and time your smashes to mix up your game and get into their heads. I find that's the hardest part for people when I see them "taking the next step" so to speak.
  17. Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry, I haven't done smash single player way back when I first was able to complete it without using a continue on the hardest difficulty. Never gave it much thought after that. Didn't know the quick smashes weren't present as I don't use them much.
  18. Unfortunately, the C-Stick idea won't be taken so well because a vast majority of players like to use it for their smashing purposes. For those who can't be bothered with learning how to time the combination properly or those who just aren't as quick pressing two buttons at once in a very specific manner like the ease of a quick flick on a single stick. I do find myself using it for certain characters I'm not so good with when I'm spamming a specific smash. You don't get the control of charging/timing it, but it has the potential to be faster on a more consistent basis. Edit: Wait...camera zoom? Okay, you lost me. Explain yourself.
  19. Ehh...I used to Whammo when I first started a couple years ago...not exactly the most prestigious of professions, lol. Seriously though, it isn't -so- bad as people claim, as long as you aren't a complete nub. At the moment I'm a complete W/W swordie. I alternate around my secondary very often just for fun and for more effectiveness in certain situations. If you can manage your energy well enough, W/E really has some massive DPS. I dunno, at this point, I have the urge to work on other characters (only really worked on my warrior since I bought all three and restarted). I have no other characters currently but I really want to just work on my main before GW:EN comes out. That being said...I was poor after buying my nice Ancient Armor (thought about Primeval...but it doesn't dye well and I'm a massive style whore)...now I'm going to be perpetually poor as I attempt to obtain every.single.skill on my main. Edit: And you don't have to be a whammo to be able to soak up damage with survivability. Just slap on any armor (they're all the same now, which is really cool), and put the Knight Insignias on them. The ones that give -3 to physical damage. Those really help. On top of that I've currently got a Major Absorption and Major Vigor (soon to be upgraded to Superiors on both). And any points you put into prot or healing spells are easily just as effective in Tactics. I personally use Str for the DPS and such, but when PvP'ing, you need the tactics for the self-heal and armor boosts.
  20. I've finished out the Nightfall storyline/missions, and must say that it was definitely one of the better ones. I've moved into the other two worlds...but find myself coming back to Nightfall just to finish all the quests because the travel point in Prophecies is too easy and I'm at a point in Factions where it's too annoying to be bothered with (read: befriend either faction). I've also come to realize something somewhat annoying. I'm a fan of all the classes, but I've spent most of my time exclusively working on my W/X. The biggest problem I've had so far is the massive amount of skills I need in just my primary profession to succeed. It's really annoying compared to a simple machine gun ranger, or a touch ranger who just need the levels and basic skills to do well. It's interesting to see how some classes develop over time and how that affects the number of people who play them.
  21. I can't believe they're still so hard to find...but the numbers make sense. I think it's like 200k+ sold for the Wii but like 40k+ for the PS2 since launch? I forget the exact numbers, but I did chuckle to myself when I heard that. Not to mention that Sony's still using the "you can't judge us so close to launch" excuse when it's been months. Though in general it feels like all the consoles are coming to a slow patch...then again that might be due to me playing more PC games recently.
  22. The best part about this update is the talking about balance. I've wanted to see a solid and large character play well for a long time, but it's not the easiest thing because they're such a big target that's easy to combo into. I really hope they upped his speed.
  23. I'm thinking of upgrading to a DS Lite soon. Even though I've still got a fully functioning red DS in awesome condition, I'm convinced that a Lite definitely helps your gameplay. Seriously, I find the screen/stylus combo better and I do like the brighter screens. The main point of this post is to ask if you guys think that a redesign of the DS will be released at the next E3. There's been some chatter about it, and it's definitely worth waiting for...if it's really coming. Opinions?
