  1. Damn, sorry about your friend man. I've had my bouts with depression myself, but not that serious (well, I could at least, shake it most of the time). I have to admit, things have been crazy the past few months for me and my friends though. I have had the misfortune to hear about 2 attempts (one of which would have been a double murder/suicide) and I unknowingly stopped another one by just holding a normal conversation with a friend that I haven't spoken to in nearly 10 years. Sometimes all people need is someone to listen and show them love. Thanks for posting this up man. I'll be sure to share it.
  2. LOL Shenmue cost more than the actual game system. I'm glad I still have my copy and it's still in good condition. Now, I just gotta find another Dreamcast...
  3. "Ultimate Songs from the Pit" Shael Riley and the Double Ice Backfire.
  4. I beat Ninja Gaiden 1-3 after a 6-hour marathon. I had to use an emulator, because it was nearly impossible to play and beat it on the NES. I came pretty close when I was a kid, but I just couldn't pull it off. 100% on DKCR. Fuck that game, I'm never playing it again!
  5. A homeless man on his hustle. Stop hatin'
  6. I did do a Yoshi's Island-Flower Garden mix a while ago. It's more of a groovy cover than anything, but if you find it useful, you can have it. I wasn't planning on doing much with it anyway. http://soundcloud.com/user7666413/yoshis-island-stoopid-yoshi
  7. Maybe, it is a personal thing, but I always felt that there were TOO MANY playable characters on Chrono Cross. I found it more trouble than it's worth to gather and allocate elements for each one, outfit them with the best armor and weapons, and actually use them from time to time. I enjoyed their background stories and whatnot, but after a while, I just don't care anymore. The totally random game freezes in the Fallout series and Skyrim. There's nothing like making progress and loosing it all because you couldn't save it in time. I was always bummed out at Super Mario Kart because the computer is able to use character specific power-ups/weapons at random, and you are constantly bombarded with them if they are close behind you. And I wanted to use damn shrinking mushrooms! But, I guess the trade off is being able to use the Jump Feather to make your own shortcuts.
  8. This is sorta off topic, but not worth making a whole new thread for: My 160GB PS3 recently died due to power issues and I'm thinking about recycling as many parts as I can, if I cannot fix it. Has anyone ever tried to use a PS3 hard drive as an external backup drive for a PC and maybe PS3 backup files? If so, what hardware and software did you use and what is that process of making this conversion? Also, would it be possible to reuse the PS3's blu-ray drive on my PC? Any other ideas of what I can do with the other parts, besides sell them as spares?
  9. You already know the answer to that one...
  10. It was good for the first couple of hours of gameplay. It got very repetitive, very quick.
  11. Playing MGS for the first time...with no strategy guide: Leaving the main hanger through the airlock. They could have said something before I tried to run through the damn thing. and Psycho Mantis. The Metal Gear Awesome series comes to mind...
  12. Who remember getting super hyped when they got that 15 minute, DKC preview VHS tape in the mail from Nintendo Power? I STILL GOT THAT TAPE!!!!
  13. ALWAYS check the bathroom second and those tank things right afterwards. Its better to just get those out of the way. I always get caught when I'm going for the last page. Makes me sad.
  14. Happy Birthday, fairly large, aureole, circular, 360° person, sir!
  15. Very nice stuff guys! How long will you have the shield design shirts on sale? I want an light blue one with my name on the back. I'm going to be on vacation next week, so I can't place an order until I get back home and see how much money I have left over.
  16. I just read that the XL is coming out next month on the 19th (I'm sure somebody mentioned it already, but still...) I HAS HYPE!!!!!
  17. I still kinda suck at giving feedback, but here it goes... Damn nice groove right here! And one of my favorite sources, Planet Wisp! The intro is great, but I'm honestly not feeling the vocal sample. Maybe too much delay? The bass that comes in at 1:05 is nice and groovy, but I would add more variation in there (1:24 to 1:51) to spice things up. Back to Planet Wisp at 2:17. For some reason, that's my favorite part. I would probably use a nice jazz guitar sample to take the solo at 2:43. Nice transition at 3:08. The synth that comes in at 3:24 seems to be a little too quiet. I'm not sure if it is suppose to be the focus, or the bells/plucks. You can probably use a stronger buildup before the section that starts at 3:50. I like the synth that comes in here, but it seems like its missing something. Maybe some flanger/phaser effects? Definitely not feeling the wobbly bird thing at 4:43. Its a bit loud and distracting. A piano solo would probably be awesome there. The strings that come in at 5:10 are a little on the thin side. I don't know if its just the sample or the missing low ends. The piano at the end gave me goosebumps. A really nice way to close this one out. That's all I got for now.
  18. Yeah...see you on the front page. Seriously, you guys did a fantastic job on this remix! Couple of things: When Sabrina starts humming around 2:56, it seem just a little loud to me and the snare is a little weak, but I suppose that's just a personal preference. Other than that, really good stuff!
  19. Just out of curiosity, is there a running total on the number of remixes that have been submitted to OCR? I know there's around 2200 remixes that have been posted, but out of what?
  20. Man, this is really good! I wish I could give you some sort of feedback, but I can't come up with anything. I can't wait for the final version.
