  1. Let's be honest guys, not every song from the each Sonic game on the Genesis was a gem. Some were far better and memorable than others, so I don't think we can start bashing the music of the game just yet. There are still three slots to be filled on that music download page, so we'll have to wait and see how those pan out before we can justifiably criticize the game itself as having poor music beyond this one track. As for me, I didn't mind the song too much. It didn't grab me, but it didn't offend either. I like the retro drums and the familiarity of the synths used, but something tells me if the song had its tempo upped a little, it might help give it a bit more pep (like if it's 100BPM right now, maybe shift it to 95BPM or a touch lower).
  2. Well, I have the most basic of beginnings going. Here's hoping my old curse from back in day the doesn't come back to haunt this project
  3. I'm thinking piano with some orchestration behind it (like "Reflection", but maybe with a few more instruments).
  4. Go to "music downloads" and click on "download." That's how I did it.

Let me know (here or via PM) if it's up to snuff with what you two are aiming for.
  6. Played in FireFox (unexpectedly really) and on Windows Media Player just fine for me.
  7. Sounds like the original synths before they're converted to the FM/PSG of the Genesis soundchip. Fitting.
  8. Ask him about that Earthworm Jim album he came here pimping (looking for remixes from OCR artists), and then never seemed to bring up again.
  9. Might have been a bot or something that bumped it, and then that posted got deleted by a mod after the bot was reported.
  10. Chocola- er, Heavy Rain
  11. Seems that's just a positive/negative voltage control for the LCD crystals, if what I've read is correct. It's not something that affects the color.
  12. Hey all. So it's been a little while since I last used my GBA. Upon acquiring the Spyro 'Season of Ice/Season of Fire' twin pack, I fired it up. Well, here's what I saw... The top image is what it's supposed to look like (purple dragon after all). The bottom image is my adjusted version to look virtually identical to what's on my GBA SP screen. My first thought was, "Fuck. I got a bad cartridge?" Then it dawned on my that I've never had a cart on my cart based systems display the wrong colors like this. So I popped in my copy of Sonic Advance... Again, top pic is normal, bottom pic is what I see on my GBA SP. The part that got me concerned about my system was that both adjusted images required the same settings in Photoshop to match what I saw. Any ideas what's wrong? Is my GBA SP on its way out? Is this a common problem that can be easily fixed (without having to by a new system)? Thanks for any input.
  13. Will someone please tell Game Arts the get with the making of Lunar III? We already have Square-Enix taking care of the RPG remake quota, and the PS1/Saturn remake was enough for the first Lunars. We need new Lunar goodness. It's been way too long.
  14. Shame none of the downloads work. All I ever get is a 189KB file that does nothing.
  15. The sample rate is in DOSBox's config file. You'll find the rates under [mixer], [sblaster],[gus] and [speaker]. By default, the rates are set at 22050.
  16. After doing a little digging, you could try setting the sample rate to 44,100 (in the config file I believe, or perhaps when the game is installed under the sound options for the game... they didn't say). You could also try selecting "thunderboard" sound option in the game instead of the soundblaster one. Otherwise, try setting the frame skip to 1... 2 at most. It should barely be noticeable, but it may help get rid of the stuttering sound.
  17. A day late, but...
  18. Here's my suggestion... Click on "Start", move your mouse to "All Programs", and find the listing for DOSBox .73. Roll your mouse over that listing, and when the new menu comes up, roll over to "Configuration". You'll see an option called "Edit Configuration". Click on that, and there's your config file. Make your changes there, and then save it. That's pretty much a sure-fire way to make changes that'll stick, as I've never had any issues with changing it there. Unless that's what you're already doing. In which case, you might want to try a reinstall of DOSBox. Something may have gone horribly wrong during your tinkering.
  19. Did you ever think that you're just not meant to play the KQ games? You have more problems with those things Anyway, which version of DOSBox are you using?
  20. Sounds like one fuck of a lawsuit is on its way.
