  1. It seems to me like the guy's pretty much been ostracized from most of the various VGM communities due to random stuff he's done and said (and just being a bastard in general), but every so often I notice he shows up again somewhere. I'd imagine he's probably been making music and/or remixes all this time, and honestly I'd like to hear them.
  2. I've never properly expressed my appreciation for this mix. The fact that it's improvised is mind-blowing. Thanks for your time and effort - I can't really say much else because this mix is totally unclassifiable.
  3. Ditto to all of this. I really need to get around to playing the other games.
  4. Ah, fantastic. I loved Everlast and somehow missed this thread, so I'm downloading now.
  5. I thought Mario Kart Super Circuit on the GBA used Mode 7 really well.
  6. 60% of the 1,430 remixes currently on OCR are of games found on Nintendo consoles. Sega consoles have 13%, and Sony consoles have 14%. Only 50 remixes are from handhelds.
  7. I'm in need of a clean version of this sound from DKC: http://antipodemusic.googlepages.com/DKCSound.mp3 It's that "Ahhh-yah!" voice sample thing that plays in Funky's Flights. This is actually just taken from bLiNd's Aerofunknamics remix from Kong in Koncert, but I had it handy and it's the exact same sound. Anyone have a good quality version of this sound?
  8. Would you post recordings for us if it works out?
  9. Haha, mostly that was pretty awesome. Never seen that before.
  10. No way, this is still on? I forgot all about this project... Is the list on the front current with who's taken what?
  11. Holy shit. This is AMAZING. A 50 foot MJ robot roaming the desert sands and firing lasers everywhere? HELL YES.
  12. Really? I didn't realize that. I was under the impression that Wind Waker itself didn't actually sell that well and that this was doing far better. Got anything I can read? Also, I kind of liked the TP soundtrack but it would have been far better for me if the dungeon themes had been more memorable. I mean, some (most) of them were basically just background noise and not music at all. Ocarina's dungeon themes were fantastic, especially some of the later ones. Anyway, I did like a lot of the other music though. Incidentally, I haven't liked a trend that's been done a few Nintendo soundtracks as of late. They make a theme that's easy to remember and then incorporate it into or just feature it as the melody in EVERY single song in the entire game. Think New Super Mario Bros, now Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine, maybe even Wii Sports, etc. I mean, sometimes it helps to make a soundtrack more memorable and catchy, but sometimes I'd really prefer they just have a lot of catchy themes instead of one with minor variations. Sometimes it works, too, but you know, I really didn't need to hear that same Hyrule Field theme again in the Gerudo Desert and so on.
  13. In case no one's mentioned it: http://ds.ign.com/articles/780/780820p1.html Sonic Rush Adventure. It would be nice if it actually wound up being good. I wonder if "Adventure" means it's actually supposed to fit into the Sonic Adventure series plotline or if it's just referring to the style of gameplay (free-roaming, third-person platforming). I hope that if it's the latter they actually do it right. Either way, since it's on DS we shouldn't have too many issues with cheesy voiceovers! Incidentally, it's going to be online. EDIT: It looks like the only third person segments are the water vehicle parts and boss fights (a la Rush). The rest of it will be sidescrolling. Well, I'm cool with that, as I pretty much liked how Rush turned out.
  14. Something by Neskvartetten. Might go with "Ten Rupees". Also, don't forget that playing this good old good one is mandatory.
  15. I would definitely have been in on this one (cool theme) but I definitely needed time to work on that album project I've been doing. Once I finish that I'll be all over these CMCs. Also Prophet I'd really like it if you could PM me or email that flp, because I'm still getting a handle on what exactly FL7 can do (just bumped up from 4.3)...
  16. To really do it right I'd need access to acapella/instrumental versions of songs...which would really be a problem to get ahold of. How did you go about that?
  17. Anyone know? I've searched on google extensively and found no answer.
  18. Yeah, it's one of my favorite games, but honestly. Yoshi, sure, but imagine Link or Marth or something. I mean, that's just ridiculous.
  19. Gotta question - if I have a GC game that supports progressive scan and I'm playing it on my Wii (with a component cable) will the progressive scan mode in the GC game enable automatically or what do I need to do? (I have progressive scan selected in the Wii settings but I don't know if it affects GC games. Also remember that playing on a Wii there's no GC intro screen to hold B during.)
  20. Like a month ago I called circuit city on a Saturday night. "Yeah, we got 15." I arrived two hours before the store opened on Sunday morning, got a voucher, came back later, and snagged one. So that's how I wound up with mine.
  21. Bahaha, this may be one of the worst ideas I have yet heard.
  22. Yeah actually I think that if they made a high-quality 3D metroid game for Wii that was sidescrolling it could actually turn out to be really nice. Anyway, going to get browser right now. EDIT FROM WII BROWSER: Well, this is definitely pretty sweet. The scrolling noise got old really fast, but I'll get used to it. Also I would have liked to see the implementation of a history bar - but whatever. Otherwise it's fine. They fixed a lot of annoying issues from the beta.
