  1. Got to stick with AntiVir. It's never failed me. It's free, it updates automatically (if you want it to), it catches most everything and it doesn't slow down your computer at all. I like.
  2. ANTECHAMBER Hey all! Some of you have followed this for the last half-year, some of you have no idea who I am! Whoever you are, I've just finished my debut album and am releasing it online for free! This is a 12-track, nearly-50-minute-long album, featuring many different styles, sometimes more than one in each track, ranging from techno to ambient, drum and bass, rock, noisecore and chillout. This project has been a long time coming and many tracks were scrapped and rewritten until I was satisfied. This is probably the most important place I can release this, as it is thanks to OCRemix that I ever started making music to begin with (I listened and wanted to try it for myself) back in 2004. This kind of music has now become a major factor in my life and hopefully my future, so I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who commented on my preview sets I released every so often (many of you were mentioned in the readme). Other than that, I don't want to sell this album, but if you really like it and would like to do me a great favor, I'll soon have a paypal donation page set up on my site. Every amount, no matter how small, means a lot - as does every comment I've ever gotten. Please say anything and everything or drop me a PM or email. So, what you came here for: http://antipodemusic.googlepages.com/antechamber That's actually an information page, where the download link can be found - but read those instructions near the link or you might not figure it out. Don't worry, I'll get another mirror and a torrent going soon. Anyway, in that pack I've provided album art, a playlist, and instructions on how to make the physical CD, of which I'll have a picture here pretty soon. So slick, so shiny, so black! All the music is in high-quality MP3 format, but if you want lossless WAV or FLAC files, an email is all it takes and we can make arrangements. Anyway, thanks and happy listening! My next one will probably be out early 2008.
  3. Thanks a lot, Kadosho! As a bit of a progress update bump, I've got some solid stuff down for "Circuit Breaker", a track which will go in between "Atlantis Groove" (3rd from last in the preview set) and "Stratosphere" (second to last). So far it's turning out to be a really fast and heavy dnb track with lots of distortion, and I think just based on where it is that it's turning out to be one of the best on the album. Anyway, I also wanted to mention that the album release will likely be July instead of June, based on how fast I'm going. A bit disappointing, but I want to be sure it's polished and ready. With luck, I'll be back soon with more! In case you didn't see it above, I'll say it again down here: the album is going to be out on the 30th!
  4. Downloadin'. I'll tell you what I think as soon as I've listened!
  5. Elite Beat Agents - YES While it would have been better without all the shitty pop songs, it's a challenging and unique rhythm game that no one else has copied yet. Plus, it's hilarious. Rez - YES If there ever was a game that was unique though, it's Rez. The experience can't really be described, but it's a feeling you won't get from ANYTHING else.
  6. Honestly though I'd rather just have one big website with everything. This is biggest, so I come here most. I dunno, I'm lazy and I like convenience. Not to say don't visit the others, but yeah.
  7. This IS a great game. I used to play this all the time. Afraid I've lost it, though...
  8. "Glow Worm Jim" by Mazedude from his American Album is an amazing remix. It's a shame it isn't available here.
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - YES There's something to be said for making a good game design and then improving it without radically changing it. You don't HAVE to have radical change to still make an excellent game, and this is a perfect example of that. The dungeon design was excellent and the graphics were fantastic for gamecube and even pretty good by wii standards. The wolf mechanic was a welcome addition, and the boss fights and characters (particularly Midna) were refreshing and just plain fun.
  10. Clever name. I remember looking at some logo on something once that said "VISION", and noticing that upside-down it looked like "NOISIA". Looks like I wasn't the only one! Anyway, yeah, this is pretty cool. Not among my very favorites, but I like the sound of Exodus.
  11. If that article is true, the Prime 3 section is enough to make me happy for like a year.
  12. I need to see third party characters. I need them now.
  13. I'm not going to vote on XIII because I really enjoyed it. It took some skill to get through the stealth missions (which I still firmly believe are not based on luck if you pull it right) and I did enjoy the graphic style and popup windows. I'm not voting yes or no because I believe it's definitely worth a play (especially at the 5.00 price tag) but I don't think it's a MUST HAVE. The music in this game is amazing, one of my favorite soundtracks to be honest - it's a shame there was never an actual soundtrack release I could listen to (the "soundtrack" they put out was basically music by someone else inspired by XIII which was still good, but I would have preferred the actual game music). AAALEEEEERRRT!! Anyway, to be useful: Halo: Combat Evolved - YES Everyone always bitches at this game because it was too "generic", but there's something to be said for drawing the best ideas from many innovators and blending them together in a fantastically addictive and satisfying way. The single player campaign is interesting and challenging at times and the multiplayer I still play today (definitely would choose over Halo 2) with its excellent weapons and maps. Incidentally, I'm talking about Halo PC, which I believed to be a far superior game to the Xbox release - playing online with 15 others is an unmatched experience, and the mouse control and slightly better graphics (on a good rig) really improved it in my opinion. Anyway, regardless of the console, the game was just plain fun, and I still don't think the satisfying feeling of sniping three in a row, ramming a warthog into a base and running over a few more while bashing another with your pistol has been matched by about any game.
  14. So I want this damn game. The hype has a grip around my throat. I'm 90% sure they'll wind up probably including Waluigi (since they've got Wario), and I'd love to see them include Samurai Goroh. Also, a feature I'd REALLY like to see is heavy customization of costumes - have like, different outfit pieces to choose from and all that, and then also let you change the color of each part. Stuff like that. Just having different color schemes for the one outfit would be lame in this, particularly online where it would be nice to have some kind of personal touches (think the icon in Mario Kart DS, things like that). And yeah Arek, I agree that the theme they have up there didn't really impress me...I don't know quite what it was about it. Partially the arrangement and the instruments too. I hope they fix it up a bit. The remake of that theme that played in Final Destination in Melee was much better, I thought. Also, Thanks, man!
  15. Ok, once again, the site says "The song called Menu 1 found under the topic The Musicians plays on [the Battlefield stage]." This quote is under the "stages" section. So yes, it is in fact in the game, and like I say, I just don't think it's the menu theme because it's being used in a stage already. Again, I think the menu theme for Brawl is probably the music played in the background of the Nintendo World trailer - it just sounds like what they'd probably use, and it features that same "main theme" that Uematsu composed.
  16. I was always under the impression that the actual menu music for brawl was the music heard in the background of the Nintendo World trailer from Nov 06. I think it's called Menu 1 just because it's obviously a remix of the Melee menu theme. Still, if I'm right then it is strange that they didn't call it "Battlefield" or something.
  17. That "menu" music is supposedly the song that plays on the Battlefield stage. It's not actually the menu music. But yeah...I was kind of expecting something a bit bigger than a musician list...oh well, at least we get daily updates. That probably means, like, a stage or a character, or maybe a song or something daily? I hope? It sounds like they're just "opening" it today and dragging the hype on and on and on... I just want the damn game already.
  18. For the big one, I highly recommend the Sony Bravia XBR. It's LCD, and after a long time in several stores comparing the same pictures on all of them, it was clearly the best. It has a lot of excellent features as well, like tons of different inputs and picture settings like you wouldn't believe.
  19. Again, as people are mentioning, they probably aren't going to GET RID of falco, just give him new moves. New moves for Ganondorf makes me very happy. I hope they don't change Capt. Falcon too much - I think if they made his side-B more powerful and his recovery time slightly faster, he would be amazing (he's the one I use all the time in Melee). Anyway, it doesn't matter how good or bad of a character Wario is, because he's the only character I'm going to use in this game.
  20. Metroid Prime - Yes This is probably among my first or second favorite games of all time. In reference to Bahamut, I happen to know a friend who was turned off of the game in the first hour because it wasn't like traditional FPSs, then retried it and by the second hour he was hooked and found himself drawn in, loving the atmosphere, the sense of accomplishment it provides by making you more and more powerful as you achieve more, and of course the near-perfect translation of Metroid into a 3D environment. If you give up on this game, you'll be missing out on one of the most important games to play last generation. Just don't try to compare it to normal shooters, because it's a totally different kind of game. I also believe it's the only first person game to get platforming just right, which is quite an accomplishment - and it's good too, because probably half the game relies on it. Beyond Good & Evil - Yes Zelda-like gameplay, beautiful environments, and enjoyable and involved characters and voice acting help this to be another of my favorite games. Too bad it was so underrated that the two planned sequels didn't happen. Conker Live and Reloaded - No Play the original one. Seriously. It has Heist and this one doesn't. Metroid Prime Hunters - Yes This is likely one of my favorite DS games ever. Personally, I actually really enjoyed the single player mode, while most people didn't. Remember that this is a HANDHELD FPS we're dealing with, and you might be as impressed with it as I am. The multiplayer is great, but everyone is always better than you. It's still a lot of fun because of the different special abilities given to each character. Guitar Hero - Yes I think the original Guitar Hero had a much better song selection than the sequel, and obviously it's a ton of fun to play. Playing something on a difficult mode is tough and satisfying while not being as impossible as the harder tracks in the sequel. If I had to pick one of the two, this would be it.
  21. This would be the funniest albums I've ever heard. I may have to contribute later.
  22. A question that I'm pretty sure hasn't already been answered: You first say that "OverClocked ReMix has the sole ability to distribute music under its name, as designated by...the 'OC_ReMix' file suffix" and follow up later with a note that, when anyone else redistributes them, they're not allowed to remove OC_ReMix from the MP3. Doesn't this imply that OCR is the only party allowed to redistribute ReMixes? I mean, I know you allow redistribution, and you say so, but those two parts seem to contradict each other. EDIT: Just reread the thread and found the answer. Nevermind. I don't see any real problems with this - I think it could help to have some actual rules set down so there won't be any kind of a mushy area.
