  1. Not sure if's different enough to be a remix? edit: Original: edit 2: there's many versions of this song so it's hard to say which is the original except the actual FF1 version, I don't know which one I had in mind, probably the FF8 version since I've listened to that OST most recently.
  2. Hey! Just for fun, I took a shot at making a few tunes I believe would fit the old arcade racers from the 80's and 90's. I tried to recreate the general style of the time, with all its cheesiness and badly sampled instruments. https://soundcloud.com/fredrikdronen Have a listen to "Midnight City Course" and "Cabriolet Cruisin'", and let me know what you think!
  3. Hey all. At first glance, i can already tell I`m going to like it here. I`ve listened to many of your pieces, and I have to say im pleasantly surprised. There`s a lot of talent, both compositionally and production wise, so i can definitely tell there are going to be people with all sorts of personalities here xD.That being said, I`m excited to exchange ideas, compliments, criticism and advice with everyone here. To start, heres a little piece i just recently finished. Hope you all enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/victor-37/town-theme-halfside-market-3
  4. Heres another one of my latest pieces to Pub Master Quests, "Fragmented Fate". Itried to make it sound very melancholic, but warm and peaceful too. enjoy!
  5. http://youtu.be/IlfGvAozoIE Hey all, Recently got back into doing VGM covers and thought I'd stop by and share the latest, a cover of Final Fantasy VII - J-E-N-O-V-A. I'm new here (actually joined in 2006 but inactive) and as far as I can tell, the stuff I do is generally covers and not really remixes. Hope you like it!
  6. YOUTUBE LINK SOUNDCLOUD LINK Remix of the these that played in the mysterious woods in Link's awakening. : ) had fun with it/hope you enjoy it.
  7. Hey crew, Just got BFD3. Wooooow. Been working with it non-stop. It's fiddly, but gosh, check out this result for cool, naturalistic 'heavy' drums: https://soundcloud.com/anonfemme/anonfemme-everyone-cares-when-its-too-late I am in flavour country. They're pricey, but recommend-o!
  8. Well? Did I waste the day or not? P.s. koopa road remix Orignal- ^^^Nice video, me likes^^^^
  9. This is a short melody that ended up being longer than intended xD https://soundcloud.com/videogamemaniac/dancing-flowers why bother clicking on this thread when you dont even listen to the track? :/ Im out of this stupid forum
  10. Hey, MikeViper aka Young Prodigy here. I wrote a new song "Fairy Forest". I would describe as being similar as something you would hear in Secret of Mana. You can listen to it here: https://youngprodigymusic.bandcamp.com/track/fairy-forest

  12. Here it is guys! Hope you all enjoy! If you think it sounds a bit muddy, let me know. I`ll have a mind to fix that. https://soundcloud.com/victor-37/celestial-attack-looped
  13. New wave-pop song I wrote/sang/created inspired by "Exotic Ethnic" from DDRMAX. I played an electric upright bass on this. It definitely was an interesting experience. https://soundcloud.com/vanityangelfixx/arabian-night
  14. I'm looking for feedback for my Mute City remix. I wanted to make the track sound really "heavy" and "dirty" if that makes sense. Though it's Mute City, I got a Big Blue intro...hmm. Link: Link: Anyway, if I can make improvements for the future vocal version, then feedback would be a big help.
  15. Remix: Laguna Tides (Besaid Island) Hey all, it's been a while since I've poked my head in here! I've had this remix cooking for a while, working on it in chunks during what little spare time I have left in my life... At this point I feel like it's far enough along to share for some feedback What I've got here is a semi-developed skeleton that's still lacking in detail work, but I think is pretty far along in terms of sound design. I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks - there's a couple of aspects of this WIP that I'm really proud of! Some things I still need to touch on: - Expanding the piano/pad chords throughout the song to make everything more lush - Adding variation to the drum loops - Some sort of lead instrument/synth solo in the last section - Additional sound design throughout the song, but especially during the intro - Other variations throughout the song Thanks in advance for listening, I'm excited to post something here again... it's been forever!
  16. This originally started off just as a little bit of messing around. However, as it progressed I started liking it more. Now, after spending some time with the track and fine tuning what I could think of I think it is more or less done. Though not complete as I still need to properly mix it, but it doesn't sound that terrible right now anyway. Let me know your thoughts. https://soundcloud.com/apzx/blue-fields-remix/s-BfALJ Edit - http://www.mediafire.com/listen/cwv3suuelo4as9v/Serene_Pastures_1_-_APZX.mp3 Okay, so the composition only changed by a minor degree. However, the mix has changed quite substantially. In particular I'm calling the mix done. And for those who are unfamiliar with the original, .
  17. The last time I posted here was around November of 2013. A lot of school/work stuff coalesced, and as I got busier, I felt less inclined to "jump back in" to OCR. Essentially it got harder and harder to put aside time for music. I switched mostly to FM-synth chiptune music, and still continue to make those types of tracks (see my soundcloud profile). 1+ year later and while the circumstances haven't entirely changed, I figured I might as well do my best to continue to hone my music craft. I welcome any and all feedback, since I really do care about getting better at mixing/producing (on FL Studio; I still need to update my FL10 to the latest FL). I would like to get together a portfolio or demo cd one of these days. These are three disparate tracks, but they are some of the better ones I've made this past year: Underhanded Foe -RPG boss-style track. Pretty fun; this one was floating around in my head for years before I committed it to FL. Conflict (Sea Zone OST) I would really appreciate some feedback here. This is part of an album I will be releasing that I have been sitting on for some time, but I need to tweak things around to make sure the sound quality is good (on a few tracks at least). Intro to the Living Legend Another album idea in its formative stage. I don't know if it will blossom into a 10+ track album like Sea Zone above. I tried going for a bit more sweeping and "epic" sound while still sticking closely with synthesizer sounds. By all means, take a listen and mention what you think works, or does not work. I am going to try to become a bit more active around these forums again, and actually try to get a mix posted one day (an on-and-off dream I've had for over a decade now, lol). Thank you for your time!
  18. I'm looking for feedback for my Sonic Adventure: Speed Highway remix. Link: Link: If I can make improvements before the vocal version is recorded, then any feedback would be a big help.
  19. Hey everyone, I love the ethereal quality of the original Minecraft soundtrack, here's my attempt to do justice to one of the tracks from it: I'd love to hear what you think of it!
  20. http://tindeck.com/listen/jzpo Update 9: I'm at the point now that I just need a mod to review it so I can add some last minute things to it that I'm missing. The 4-beat pattern in the B section isn't finished yet but I will get around to it. Hopefully this is the first and only mod review pass, but eh. 21. Hey guys! My friend ThunderScott and I put together this metal cover of a great track from Pokemon X/Y. Hope you enjoy it! All feedback is welcome. Lysandre Battle - Metal Remix (Pokemon X/Y)
  22. I have been doing songs from all my favorite things of 2014, so I just had to do something from the fantastic Shovel Knight. http://youtu.be/ZE14QYsCP3A
  23. https://soundcloud.com/kekopro/a-life-worth-living This is a piratey/adventure theme for a hardened man who starts out in a dark place, believing life is meaningless, but ends up finding action, romance, and a place to belong. Hence the turning point about 1/3 through the song. Your thoughts appreciated!
  24. My first attempt at making Post Rock: What do you think about it :3?
