  1. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/896471 It's not even a remix, but I thought it would be appropriate to poast in this forum instead of "Post Your Original Music!" I used RYM2612 to make this, which I recently purchased due to the fact that it really sounds like the original hardware. It even has a DAC output feature to crush down the drums!
  2. Soundcloud: A simple remake of one of my favorite Zelda tunes. Nothing crazy done in the remix; hope it brings back some good memories! -Juke
  3. The idea was to create a trilogy of albums based on this game (ocarina of time), being the 1st one the child era album that I already released. It was simple, if the album succeded on sales, I was going to continue making the second one and so on. Despite all of this, its likely that even if the 1st album didnt suceed I will continue creating this trilogy. I would like if someone that has the time or patience to listen to my album (it is long) to tell me their honest opinion (I wont be mad I just wanna learn from this). Here is the album: https://gerardwhitemusic.bandcamp.com/album/- And here is a brief comparison between the atmosphere I wanted to implement in the 2nd album in contrast to the 1st one: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5TQsHHpDOR/
  4. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/893737 Make of it what you will, but keep in mind that loops are currently broken on the above linked site. Looped perfectly in Audacity, as I perfected it to the sample.
  5. Hey guys, Here is the newest uploaded video to YouTube, this is the Orchestration of "Song of Healing" from Majora's Mask by Koji Kondo. As the original music only used piano and strings, I attempted in this arrangement to start off with the original scoring, then add more instruments for effect. There then follows a developmental part where the music builds up to full orchestra, portraying the blissful sense of relief upon being released from torment or unhappiness, followed by the original thematic material in contrasting groups of instruments to round the piece off, with a fragment of Zelda's Lullaby at the very end. (visuals are original artwork and in-game footage)
  6. This one was more difficult to do than Top Gear - Track 1 but I'm far more proud of it.
  7. I play Xenogears for the 1st time in this last summer. I love Mitsuda's Work
  8. This remix has been a work in progress for a long time. I wanted to mash together a number of favorite tracks from the Donkey Kong Country and Land series of games. I had a lot of trouble getting things to work well together and ended up pretty much abandoning the project (very disappointed). I decided to swap out a few instruments for the new FLEX synth in FL Studio and managed to at least finish the thing. It is definitely not at the quality level where I would have liked it but I don't want to really continue working on it either. I'm posting it anyway. I still find it personally enjoyable PS: ever since I started sharing tracks on OCR I've been having this nagging voice in my head that keeps saying "They're sure to point out the lack of humanization". This is one of the toughest things to get right for me and I don't need the added pressure from voices inside or outside my head Now, no one is actually putting that pressure on me; its just my insecurity. I'm trying to let it go, as well as weird ideas of supposed expectations people have of me.
  9. I will make lots of Eurobeat remixes of VGM in the near future. So of course I will use this place to shamelessly promote them and to get feedback as well. Here is the famous Track 1 from the SNES game Top Gear.
  10. Hi everyone! Here's the newest arrangement - one for full Orchestra, entitled "Ready for Battle". It is an arrangement of the Main Theme from Fallout 4 by Inon Zur. I first heard this music by the London Videogame Orchestra, then later on, performed by the BBC Studio Orchestra, conducted by Eimear Noone. The piece had such an impression on me, that I was inspired to write a version of my own, expanding upon the material in the original piece, to try and capture the Martial/War-like atmosphere of the Videogame, juxtaposed with the desolation of the world ravaged by War. Original music is by Inon Zur. Image Artwork is in-game footage from Fallout 4.
  11. Time for a 2nd remix of the dos game Skyroads (1993). yeah Road 8 Music was my fav and i love the melodies . the first version was then drum n bass and created in 2013 via mellow sonic. Now a little more faithful to the original. Enjoy
  12. First time posting! Lena Raine's soundtrack is incredible and Exhale is probably one of my favourite tracks on the album. Transferring the melody to the flute part meant that I could play around a bit more with the piano accompaniment, in addition to playing around with the countermelody towards the end. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
  13. Jin's heroic march is clearly an homage to the themes of old Super Robot anime such as Getter Robo, and Mazinger Z, and as such was composed as an orchestral piece rife with horn blasts, and violin swells. However, Marvel vs. Capcom was one of the last games developed for the CPS2 arcade hardware, so the theme was never properly realized given the limitations of the CPS2's audio hardware.. My arrangement was crafted with one goal in mind: modernize as much of the instrumentation as possible so as to realize Yuko Takehara's original vision for Jin's theme. Unfortunately, even my attempt at rendering Takehara's true vision is hampered by the fact that although the MIDI instruments in GarageBand are a noticeable improvement over Capcom's CPS2 soundfont, they still do not sound entirely authentic. Still, I gave my best effort, recording live guitar, using the best suited drum kit in GarageBand, and stacking the horns to achieve as realistic sounding an orchestra as possible without the use of an AU instrument, or sampling. The only element I could not recreate to my satisfaction was the CPS2 orchestra hit, so I used the same hit found in the original composition (sampled directly from the CPS2 soundfont). Constructive feedback is always welcome. Thanks! Song Title: "Heart of the Typhoon" (Jin Saotome Theme Remix) Originally Composed By: Yuko Takehara Arranged and Performed By: The Native Dialect BPM: 238 Style: Symphonic Metal Hardware: iMac, Ibanez Talmon Software: GarageBand, Audacity Heart of the Typhoon Source
  14. Hey everyone, new video! This is an arrangement of "Gourmet Race" from Kirby Super Star. I had the idea of arranging this piece in a Russian Folk song format, after listening to Korobeiniki, the main theme for Tetris played by the Red Army Choir, and also hearing it played in a number of guises at MagFest, I got the feeling that the music in Gourmet Race would really be very suitable for that kind of music. I gave it a go, and was very pleased with the resulting piece
  15. Now a another game remix. Yea i have now also ratchet and clank for me and the game is fucking awesome \o/ as well as the soundtrack by david bergeaud. 16. This was done back in May of this year. I've been wanting to do another Monster World remix because the music is so peaceful, which was precisely what I was aiming for. I wanted to submit this, but I wanted to get a personal feedback on it from one of the evaluators to see if it was okay for submission. Wonder Boy V: Monster World III Village Theme 2 Publisher: Sega (1991) Composer: Shinichi Sakamoto Original song- Please let me know if any info is missing, I will be happy to update it. 17. Hiya guys, new piece here: ………*drumroll*………. …...The Football March! This is an arrangement for a full orchestra; a March based on the End Credits music of Super Mario World. As the Game is American Football-themed (the Chargin' Chucks, Goalposts, etc.), I decided to give this piece the name "The Football March". I have had plans on writing this piece for some time as the swing to the piece, as well as the faster strict-rhythm section made great material for a more flamboyant and impacting piece than the 16-bit music would permit, so I decided to give it the power of a full Orchestra to bring it to life much more. In this arrangement, I kept the music true to its original form, but developed the sounds through the different families of the Orchestra; Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion to really spice the Orchestration up and make it sound like a March for an American Football event! Disclaimer:- Original music is by Koji Kondo.
  18. Hello! I just finished this old school RuneScape main theme arrangement. I used Serum for synth sounds and EastWest vst for orchestral things in this. Arrangement: Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1ovvUMWWk4
  19. This might sound familiar. That's because I originally made it almost 3 years ago. However, I recently remastered it to sound clearer and less muddy. I label it as completed, but I still welcome any feedback and may change things based on feedback. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/884680 On the listen page, you can find the original as well. There's a huge difference right from the beginning as far as how it sounds. No other changes were made but the mixing.
  20. I made this piece for a contest on Reddit, please enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ieg8iXnKscM
  21. Hi there everybody! I completed a new arrangement, entitled "The Marine Waltz". This is an arrangement for a full orchestra; a Waltz based on two themes: The Underwater music from Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario World. It's modelled on the Waltzes of Strauss and Tchaikovsky. I've have had plans on writing this piece for some years, as the melodies make fantastic material for a Waltz - the bouncy rhythms lend themselves to powerful and vivid orchestration. In this arrangement, I intended to evoke the atmosphere of a 19th Century Dance Hall. After a slow introduction, based on the opening line of the SMW Underwater theme, the theme is then played through in its entirety, first in the Woodwinds, then in the Strings, as the Brass provides the rhythm, before building up to the end of the section where the music modulates from F major to C major. The SMB Underwater theme is brought in, being played through three times in ever increasing thickness of orchestration, before the music comes to a radiant conclusion using a segment of the SMB Underwater theme in a Tchaikovsky-esque Coda.
  22. Hey everybody! This is an arrangement of the "Menu 1" Music from Super Smash Bros. Melee, which featured in the Materia Collective "MENU" Album at the beginning of the year. In this piece, I took the original version and developed adding sections to the piece that enhances it's martial, combative atmosphere. This is the Live recording, featuring musicians from Materia Collective. Disclaimer: Original music is by Hirokazu Ando, Images are original game artwork and in-game screenshots.
