  1. Here's an Hip-Hop/EDM arrangement of 'Petrolith Castle' from Skyblazer (SNES), made for AOCC v14. Happy Holidays.
  2. Here’s a piece I’ve wanted to cover for a while now. Mixing was particularly challenging for this one due to the number of instruments at play, so any feedback on the result is appreciated!
  3. Hey all! I recently completed this simple romantic-era styled arrangement of Kakariko Village from The Legend of Zelda series and I thought I would share it here. For this rendition, I wanted to focus on bringing out the piece's warm and comforting quality. I found that changing the key signature from Bb Major to F Major helped darken the sound and create a richer texture. F Major is one of my favorites and is just such a great key for these kinds of pieces. I generally shy away from changing keys too much, but this change made such a huge impact on the arrangement's tone. I also worked in some richer harmonies and a tiny bit of ornamentation for fun. It's a simple little arrangement, but I'm overall pretty happy with how it turned out. It's a common piece to cover/arrange but I hope some of you enjoy this slightly different take on the tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQD5IgRbRW8
  4. Hello! I'm sort of being reborn on OCRemix today - I am also known as LjB0 with a profile here & a YouTube channel that has ended up being semi-successful for medieval game covers. But probably because of this, YouTube's algorithm seems to only be interested in medieval covers now on that channel! Honestly, the medieval thing has been a weird surprise and was never my main interest; just a quirky side hobby - I am much more interested in orchestral and soundtrack-style music, so I have today started fresh as James Laurence here & on Youtube. Really excited to also share original concept pieces with this new outlet! Going to work hard and make 2021 my year for getting properly into the industry. So with all that out the way, my first arrangement uses instruments from Cinematic Studio Series & Spitfire Audio (has been a total treat to use real libraries this year, for the first time ever) to turn Megalovania into a bombastic superhero anthem very much in the style of The Avengers' main theme by Alan Silvestri. Would love to hear your thoughts & really hope you enjoy the music! Thanks a lot.
  5. Hello OC Remix Community! I have visited and enjoyed OCRemix.org since the year that it opened. I tinker with writing music and making remixes from time to time. I want to get feedback on my most recent remix. I also want to know if it would be a good idea to submit this piece for review. My piece is titled "Truth Be Told." The themes that I used were from two songs from Phantasy Star 4 called "The Age of Fables" and "Requiem for Lutz." These songs can be found in the Phantasy Star 4 soundtrack as recorded and uploaded by Dustin Odell on YouTube with timestamps 1:24:09 and 1:10:52 respectively: EDIT: I was going to wait for feedback before publish this on my YouTube but I havn't yet received any. Therefore, I published it on YouTube. You can listen to it here: The only live recordings in the song are of me playing clarinet. Please do let me know what you think!
  6. Remastered an old WIP of mine. I might submit it. Dunno. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/986244 Source:
  7. Hi! I'm a self taught audio engineer and composer! A friend of mine told me about these boards and I wanted to say hi! share some stuff I've done and see how you all think it could sound better! I love criticism the more detailed the better, what did I mess up what did I actually do right and so on. I use FL Studios Producer Edition and free public VSTs.
  8. He everyone! New arrangement here, "Sussession of Witches" from Final Fantasy VIII. I wanted to work on suspense and buildup in this arrangement, and quite liked how it panned out! DISCLAIMER - Original music is by Nobuo Uematsu.
  9. A little something I did recently, please enjoy! Feel free to provide feedback.
  10. Sorry for posting two tracks at once. I was hoping to get feedback on something I feel is more akin to the type of music I like to write as well. Still, I think for OC Remix this isn't liberal enough, but I think when I was looking at doing this, I didn't want to stray too far from the original, but add to it. Still, maybe there is something worth exploring that I haven't opened my mind to. With that being said, I think I'm ready for some honest feedback instead of being stuck in my head lol. Thank you for your time and I appreciate any help. As a side note, I'm also somewhat of a newbie when it comes to mixing as well so if there is something that is offensive sounding, by all means feel free to critique! 11. Hey everyone! Decided to go for an old-time favourite and make a piece based on the Russian Folk Song "Korobeiniki", better known as the main theme to Tetris. Had a lot of fun making this. Decided to use Franz Liszt and Mikhail Glinka as inspirations for how to use the melody and how it related to the background accompaniment!
