Lately, I listened to the "Perfect Selection: Snatcher Battle" album and discovered this sweet Vocal Cover of the "Peaceful Avenue" track: I really enjoy this version but, since I don't speak japanese at all, I can(t get a single clue of what the song is about. I was wondering is someone here has the skills and five minutes of spare time left to translate the lyrics for me. It's one of these tracks I might want to remix at some point and it could be nice to produce an english version of it. Hi! This is my first post here and I feel a bit sorry that it is a rather egoistic post where I show off my own stuff. But I will try to invest some time reviewing other songs too. I started a series of Secret of Mana covers. Sadly it's not suitable for OCRemix because I use the original titles as inspiration for my lyrics and keep those titles. This is part of the concept. I try to imagine the songs of the game as songs for a singer and the titles are hints for the stories the songs want to tell. I also play as much instruments as I can and I hope that I can get some collaborators to play other instruments too or sing some parts for the series. I release the songs on my YouTube channel and make videos with a performance of the song (as I always do with my songs). Feedback is highly appreciated and will be taken seriously.

Hey there, I'm making a concept album for a TRPG, Leviathan Stadium Tactics. This track is for one of the optional battles against a legendary fighter, so you can recruit them. The song's finished, and I'd really like some comments, crit, all the good stuff. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy.

It's great, and I love the cheesy music in that game. But there isn't much representation of it on this site, which I find weird given that it in a way invented the rhythm game genre as it is. But I'm out to give the game the treatment it deserves with this EP. The idea of this project is simple and something original for OCRemix. I'm planning for this to be an album composed of only vocal remixes. Hip hop/rap and R&B vocal remixes at that. No album on Overclocked (that I know of) has done either of those, and probably for good reason. Vocal remixes are for certain hated by some, but given the game that this is, in my eyes it would be criminal if this wasn't a full force hip hop album. So What's Needed? Well, as you can see above, we need the normal jazz for albums: An artist for one of those amazing album covers, a web designer to, well, design the website for the album to be hosted on, and someone to make a trailer for the album. Other than that, we of course need our music artists, who I'm gonna be checking in with and be in contact with, who are going to remix eight tracks from the game. If you want to claim a track, reply to this thread, pm, or email (nathanocole@gmail.com) me expressing interest, describing what you wanna do with the track of your choice (as in style and idea). Singers, those who play an instrument(s), vocalists, and other rappers who don't claim a track who aren't in a group/cooperation for a track will be put in the collaborators section along with their skill. Just reply to this thread or pm/email me expressing interest with previous work if you want to be a collaborator. From there, artists working on their track could reach out to you to get you on. Tracks Remember folks, diverse styles of hip hop are encouraged, so don't be afraid to let your creativity let loose. Any subgenre of hip hop, from jazz hop, gangsta rap, rap metal, trap, and anything in between is fair game. WIP deadlines will be discussed at a later time, but I have no deadline for the EP to be out. Take the time to make sure you're 200 percent satisfied with your tracks I say. If you show to me a lack of effort or care on your part to me though, I won't hesitate to drop you from the project, be mindful of that. Also if you have an idea for one of the smaller tracks from the game that aren't listed below (Maybe you got a mean idea for Jet Baby, I dunno), contact me about that as well. Hey OCR I'm looking to get involved in a few projects to help build my skills and confidence as a musician. I normally direct and produce albums with lots of other musicians, but I felt it was about time I started focusing on myself and what I can do. This year I have been contributing vocals to a few tracks on Newgrounds, with a few more still in the works. If you have a project you feel I would be suitable in, please get in touch and let me know what it's all about. I do request that you have a proven track record of completing projects, because my time is important. I won't contribute to something that I don't feel will be completed, and sadly that is all too common (although sometimes beyond peoples control). I also request that your project is non-profit if I am working on it for free. If you plan to license and sell your music, we would need to discuss that in more detail. Some thoughts: Vocals: To some extent silly on purpose but the performance and quality could be better, the recording situation (just my apartment) is a bottleneck though. I do feel this is my best attempt so far at mixing clean vocals at least so yay, progress. (Lyrics are very "in-joke" so feel free to ignore.) Guitars & Bass: Pretty happy with them (DI, amp sims), a lot going on at once sometimes but still sounds alright (IMO). Maybe the rhythm guitars could be a bit crunchier to cut through when it gets busy. Eternal struggle. Brass (Impact Soundworks) and strings (Kontakt's factory stuff + a tiny bit IS Furia): They do what I wanted them to do but could be clearer, still learning to mix stuff like that. Kick drum: I'm always pretty happy with it until I think someone from the VGM community is going to listen 'cause I know y'all like it way louder.
