stevencoltrane
Hi, I've been visiting OCR and the forums for ages, but decided to go a little beyond that by sharing a little project I've been playing with in my free time. Nothing pretentious. It's a simple web game featuring some tunes from classic 8-bit and 16-bit video games. You listen to the tune and try to guess the game. Both well-known classics and more obscure songs are represented. We have a specialist crowd here, so I think we should expect pretty high scores! It's kinda of beta right now, probably there are bugs. Comments, suggestions and bug reports are very welcome. I hope you have fun: http://www.superguitarra.com.br/gamepops Thanks! Armoured Priest
Nice. A surprising amount of Sega's Master System seems to be represented Some selections that I recalled, I was not expecting, either. Would I be correct in guessing there are no TG-16 selections, though? Oh, I managed to guess 28 of 50.
DragonAvenger
Oh man I know 28, but I can't remember the name...augh.
SynthesizedStampede
Wow, you guys are fairing much better than I am. I managed to get 22% with numbers 3, 8, 9 , 10, 11, 13, 20, 27, 39, 42, and 45. Dang I suck haha.
Jarvi
Man, I recognize a lot of the songs, but I don't know the game that goes with it.
Bigfoot
Yeah, there's plenty of Castlevania ones, but I couldn't get them all. I got 24%.
Polo
Oh man I know 28, but I can't remember the name...augh. Yo! Noid. I got 22 (44.0%). Some of them I could guess what system they were on based on the types of sounds playing.
Ajax
26%. I got numbers 3,7,8,9,10,13,17,20,23,35,39,45,48. Also, #48 is not using the name of its US release! Had me stumped for the longest time...
Sinewav
Man. 14%. I consider myself humbled. I only got 3, 9, 10, 13, 39, 43, and 45. Man, do I suck. I recognized most of these, but I couldn't remember from what game. A few of them I was sure of, like the Castlevania ones, but my answer wouldn't take for some reason. AND WHAT IS 35???? IT'S DRIVING ME MAD!!!
Hemophiliac
I got 23 of 50 46%. the ones i got were: 3,5,7-10,13,14,17,18,20,22-24,26,28,33,35,39,42,45,48 and 49. to whoever made this: 42 is supposed to be one word not 2. and to anyone who likes this kinda thing: http://vgmq.garoux.net/ ^much harder more variety, and less chance of cheating occuring. CHz and I have been going at vgmq since it opened...can be quite a challenge at times.

Hemophiliac
Polo, stop cheating for other people, revealing on the boards is not cool man...this was a problem on vgmq before the designer changed the system as to prevent cheating like this. lazygecko
32. I was pretty bad at the Master System games, even though I owned one. At least I got 25, 40 and 41.

Kanthos
I got 6, or 12%. What's really sad is that two of the 6 I got were songs I only knew from remixes here.
Calpis
Score: 14 (28%) I missed almost every Sega game, never owned one.Anyway, this is pretty cool. It'd be really cool if it were like a weekly-updated thing.
Sinewav
It would be neat if it was a dropdown box or something besides typing it in. Apparently I knew several of them, but missed them because I didn't use the right iteration of their names.
Dafydd
32%, plus Alex Kidd (I don't know which one in the series though, and I guess I have to write the full name...). Is there a full list somewhere? Anyone who knows #2 is welcome to share the secret over pm. EDIT: Thanks, I got it now.
Sole Signal
18%! I scored a lot higher than I thought I would. 18% here too. I got 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 17, 24, and 45. Didn't recognize a single one other than these 9.
The Coop
I went back and gave them a listen again.
