Hobocop Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I have a DKC3 remix to be posted :3 Thank you SO much. It's only been like what... six years since the last one.
Dafydd Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Thank you SO much. It's only been like what... six years since the last one. Sounds like plenty of time for anyone to have learned how to remix and made one themselves. For whatever reason, it doesn't apply to me. Thanks AS, looking forward to hearing the new one!
Ski Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I have a DKC3 remix to be posted :3 Sweet! If you don't mind, what song is it a remix of (and if asking what song is being remixed before it's released is a faux paus on here, I sincerely apologize; I'm a newb here).
Nekofrog Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I have a DKC3 remix to be posted :3 I bet mine is older and yours will still skip over mine to be posted
Random Hajile Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Anyone interested in rapping/speaking parts for their tracks?
Geoffrey Taucer Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 I'm gonna drop my claim on welcome to crocodile isle. I've got the whole thing planned out in my head, but I just don't have enough time to do it.
Aninymouse Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Waiting for this is driving me insane! That preview is just so delicious...
dabattousai Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Looking forward to the finished product. DKC2's music is just an amazing work of art and I consider it Rare's Best. Been waiting for new remixes or at that an album of it bridging from Kong in Koncert.
KillBill16 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Do you guys think this will be finished by the 30th? If not then when will the next deadline be?
42 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 This project doesn't have an official title yet? When I first saw this, I thought of something along the lines of: Donkey Kong Country 2: Barrels and Bananas Ultimately, it's just a suggestion.
Geoffrey Taucer Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Huzzah! Moved to project forums! We're kicking around several ideas for names. We seem to have it narrowed down to just a few.
anosou Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I'm tossing in my final render soon, I haven't forgotten about you!
anosou Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Deadline Tomorrow, Bitches! My computer can't handle playing my track without crashing because of a battery issue I have. Worst case scenario you'll get the latest version. That one's quite good anyway. I'm hoping to go get a new battery around christmas so hopefully it'll all work out but.. well, THE MORE YOU KNOW!
Xenon Odyssey Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 My bonus track will be ready for you guys in late January/early February. No, this isn't a joke.
K.B. Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Sweet. You guys are awesome. I was about to post some requests for DKC2 but decided to check the project forum first and voila! So many awesome tracks left to be done (at least on ocr), or redone as the case may be. Blows my mind that a non-rpg has music with such passion. So thanks for taking this on! I'll now be quiet and impatiently await the release. EDIT (take two), to avoid dual-posting: I wasn't trying to say RPG soundtracks were the pinnacle of vg music, rather that the good ones have music that can tug on your heart strings and really make you feel one way or another for a character... that's what I meant by passion. I also should have said RPG/adventure games. To me, the DKC2 soundtrack almost sounds out-of-place at times because there is so much feeling in the music, and maybe it's just me but I don't get that out of a Castlevania or a Mega Man... great tunes but of a completely different sort. Anyway, all I really wanted to do was compliment the folks here for doing the time-consuming and what sometimes must be ungratifying work of remixing and for doing it on a great game.
Aninymouse Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Blows my mind that a non-rpg has music with such passion. fffffffffff
Geoffrey Taucer Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 FINAL DEADLINE SET AT FEB 15th. For this deadline, you need to send Bahamut or myself a .wav of your completed mix.
KyleJCrb Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Blows my mind that a non-rpg has music with such passion. I can think of MANY games that have better music than RPGs.
Lord Obsidious Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Oh, I can't wait to listen to the tracks. I've been constantly looking at the list for a progress report (The one on the first post of this topic), and I'm getting tense to see what everyone did. Although it looks like the map theme may not get it's chance, which is one of my favorites (Not the favorite) in the game. On a side note, has the list actually been updated recently to reflect any new changes in the tracks' progress?

Hopefully we'll have it completely up-to-date in the next week or so. A couple of claims might be dropping.
-RK- Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 A couple of claims might be dropping. Consider me interested if said claims do drop.
Geoffrey Taucer Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Midee has dropped his claim. Stickerbrush Symphony is now open.
