Lunahorum Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Snapple why does your guitar have 12 pickup magnets on it (or however many it is). What kind of a pickup is that? How do you like that Carvin guitar? Thanks Quote
SnappleMan Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I love all my Carvins, they're the best guitars I've ever played. As for the pickups, those are Carvin pickups made specifically for their guitars, they have 11 poles per coil, which helps get more of the sound per string. Quote

MadGonzo Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 jeez, wasn't expecting you guys to have that much stuff Quote
Yoozer Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Working shitty jobs at the supermarket (Edah) and callcenter (Medion) paid for most of the stuff I have. Quote
CC Ricers Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Adams 5 Octave marimba, Robert Van Sice model Too bad you don't have those large traditional ones, for FOUR PLAYER ACTION!! It's still a helluva nice percussion studio, though. Quote
DrumUltimA Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Too bad you don't have those large traditional ones, for FOUR PLAYER ACTION!! It's still a helluva nice percussion studio, though. lol i have a large marimba, it just gets lower instead of higher like those do. Quote
zircon Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Ballin' in our new apartment. Pretty much the same gear as before, plus a Samson CO1U mic with shockmount + windscreen (shared with Jill), Tascam VL-S21 monitors, an Alesis mixer that isn't plugged into anything, and a nice Yamaha digital grand. The room looks a lot nicer though. Note the framed artwork for Antigravity and Origins. One more, just for fun... My mascot gnawing on one wire from a true mess. There's an 8-outlet surge protector completely filled, and above it, our modem and router. Quote
big giant circles Posted July 6, 2008 Author Posted July 6, 2008 in before wisecrack jokes about pixie and zircon Quote
OverCoat Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Oh yeah? well I printed out the Supercats album art and tacked it onto my wall. Quote
analoq Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I made this for a friend, but I think it's apt here. It's my crib and me, doing what we normally do together: YouTube's compression always does strange things to the mix.. blah. cheers. Quote
Lunahorum Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 whoa!! How did you make the pedal play a note mapped to the bass note!!? That was cool. Is that a Logic 8 thing or do you have some midi mapping software before the midi hits the DAW? Quote
analoq Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 The pedal-drum* was part of the Reaktor bass ensemble, so they shared the same note pitch and were just triggered differently. *hurr hurr Quote
Geoffrey Taucer Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 This is the second time zircon's posted a pic of his studio with Jill under the desk, and yet again, my mind immediately went south. Anyway, I'll get pix/vids of my studio sometime soon. Quote
SnappleMan Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 I don't know man, I can't imagine those two having normal sex. It's probably totally awkward and strange. They never talk during, and they can't look at one another afterwards for at least a day. Zircon probably needs to look at the sales figures of his albums just to get an erection. Quote
Yoozer Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Ballin' in our new apartment. Ars Technica people now think you can't afford pants . Quote
