JCvgluvr
I guess I'll do the honors of revealing this game to the OCremix board: Look! Sonic has a fricking sword! You wanna know how I feel about this? I've said it before, and I might say it again: HOLY **** ON A **** SANDWICH WITH A SIDE ORDER OF ****!!! Genjutsu74
pic not working http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=2084 This is nuts. Bunch a people thought the 'secret game' was gonna be Kingdom Hearts 3 due to the teaser from the previous issue. This ain't Kingdom Hearts. I'll reserve judgement til we get more info, but Sega kinda speaks for itself these days. I can't help but be reminded of Shadow the Hedgehog. SlightlyOddGuy
Probably Secret Rings 2. Bizarre, but no more ludicrous than any of the other concepts Sega has put the series through in recent years.
Murmeli Walan
Until the issue comes in my mailbox, I call fake. ...bonus points for using a TAS quote, though...
Linkjing Donuts
this is propbably the first time a game has hit magazines before the internet
JCvgluvr
Until the issue comes in my mailbox, I call fake. No. Really. This is the real thing. All of those games really are coming out. It really is Nintendo Power's 20th Anniversary. Heck, I even recognize all of those familiar font styles and everything. There's no reason to doubt this. Bleck
Pretty sure that's fake

We've been there before: Plus, as a jaded Sonic fan, I just can't get my hopes up for the character anymore. @Linkjing: Hey, last month's issue was the first to unveil Mega Man 9, so it's not like this isn't believable or anything. Bleck
It's believable. Just unlikely.
DarkeSword
It's completely in line with what Sega's doing with Sonic these days; that is to say, it's so fucking ridiculous that it can't possibly be fake.
JCvgluvr
I dare any single poster to manufacture a more official looking picture than that one. DARE, I SAY! Official art like that is fricking impossible to make using amateur tools like photoshop.
Antipode
I second that, DS. Also, here's another take debating whether it may be fake.
Bleck
I am sorry but it is very unoften that you just find the cover page for a magazine three weeks before it comes out
SlightlyOddGuy
I see the internet still immediately goes into denial every time a Sonic game is announced. It isn't fake. There's no one within the Sonic community capable of or willing to do that kind of professional render, and no one outside of it gives enough of a damn to bother because Sega is quite capable of coming up with ludicrous concepts on their own. Also, here's another take debating whether it may be fake. They're trying to use jpeg artifacting as evidence of photoshopping. Never mind the absurdity of a Sonic/Fire Emblem crossover. Murmeli Walan
Really, I'm just tired and I don't want to argue about if this is fake or not. I just hope it's fake because this looks like another retarded "gimmick" to try to bring back the near-dead Sonic franchise. Don't get me wrong, the image looks professional as hell, I just don't want to see it happen.
JCvgluvr
Near dead? Don't be ludicrous. Opinions be darned, the Sonic franchise is quite lucrative.
EdgeCrusher
More like quite boring and retarded now. Hasn't been a good game in years.

Elex Synn
More like quite boring and retarded now. Hasn't been a good game in years. Not a fan of the Sonic Rush series on the DS? Granted I can't speak for the second one that came out sense I haven't found it at either of the two nearby Gamestops yet, but the first one was classic enjoyment. Can't speak for the OP, but I'm of the opinion that Rush was garbage. Bought it on all the recommendations of "it's just like the best Sonics! Return to form! A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A!" and was bitterly disappointed. Techno pop soundtrack that was just BEYOND bland, bossfights that seemed as if they were thrown in at the very last moment just to HAVE boss fights, a graphical/art style that just reeked of plain-ness, etc. Garbage. Never played the second.
JCvgluvr
You really are a cynical person, aren't you Nekofrog? You just seem so negative in every single topic you post in. Merely an observation, I assure you. I'm not so postive myself, you know, so I can't exactly judge anyone.

Xenon Odyssey
I also agree with DarkeSword. I'm glad we're trying to make Sonic not do what he was originally meant to do: run through the damn stage as FAST as possible. A big-ass battle sword? I'll play Zelda if I want to slash shit.
