Hey all! For those of you in the States, Have a Great Memorial Day weekend! I for one will be chilling playing Lego Star Wars (both Trilogies) in between stripping the tile of the kitchen floor and painting the walls.....maybe. Don't want to overdo it! And no, no alcohol will be involved. It might be more fun, but I don't drink, so there you go. Anyways, what are ya'lls plans for the fun holiday?

Staying at home to avoid any possible law enforcement this weekend.

Fuck the Poh-lice, right?

Well, until someone's trying to break into your apartment.

Or your sister's been missing for 72 hours.

Or there's a huge traffic accident on the highway.

Or there's a pederast who keeps staring at your little boy.

Or you need to report your stolen vehicle.

Or someone's stolen your identity.

Or there's a domestic across the street with guns drawn.

Hmm... law enforcement doesn't seem to be so bad in that context.

Anyway, I think I'm going to be honoring our veterans and currents this Monday. Thats what I'm gonna do.

Realizing that these highly unlikely scenarios has not happened to us yet should give us pause and force us to be grateful...........

I guess.

And if any of those have happened to you, that's downright terrible.

Ah, I see. Just because he's trying to stay out of trouble, that means he hates cops. Got it. That makes a world of sense.

Myself, I'll be working. Yep, even on Memorial Day itself. Newspapers don't stop publishing for holidays.

Believe me, I'm hoping that all the time. Things aren't good in the industry, and some papers have done just that.

I too work for a newspaper company but only in the warehouse. Over mothers day and Easter I've been asked not to come in because of the lack of ads in the newspapers. We're all going out of business I tell you.

My profession is tile laying, but we've had almost 44+ hours these past few weeks, so I'm probably going to rest now since we're about caught up with all our work.

That, and I'm going to see Terminator Salvation with my parents.:nicework:

Yep. It was gonna happen eventually anyway, but this recession made it happen a whole lot more quickly.

I'm going to be playing trumpet in my high school's marching band at the city's memorial service. Not going to play taps, though - I let someone else play it because I won't be in band next year. Aside from that, just staying at home.

I'd rather be in the ghetto than a block away from the police station. And I'm white.

Aspergers much? I didn't know Atomic Dog channeled through you.

Point being, holiday traveling is retarded with radar. But thanks for going off on a rant there.

if you live in a city, you know that cops are your best friends. EVAR.

I'm not sure if this was meant to be sarcastic or not.

I have not had a single encounter with a Cincinnati cop that left me with a good impression of them, save for one instance which was technically outside of cincy, in the suburbs. They usually hassle me or act condescending in some way or another. Mind you, I am very respectful and compliant, and I have a squeaky clean record with the exception of a couple of minor speeding tickets.

My experience so far has been that all those popular kids in high school who used their powers for evil, realized that the only thing they were any good at was bullying, so they got a job bullying professionally.
