Strike911 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 You know, my buddy played the 1 hour demo and honestly bought the game just to show it to me. Everyone I know that's played this game is addicted to it. I know I am. haha. ... and the music is pretty catchy! Quote
The Damned Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Yeah, some of that music sounds really familiar. Like, as in, it's from something else, slightly rearranged. I just can't tell where or what. Quote
Souliarc Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I just finished the trial, it was pretty satisfying Satisfying enough to buy it! "dear weedbeater, We are launching an all out attack on your house. -the zombies" Haha. Quote
kitty Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 My friends have been playing it. I haven't been convinced to buy it myself though. But then again, I'm a cheapskate. Looks like a lot of fun though. Quote
Strike911 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 @ kittykar download the demo. At first you'll be like, "Psh, a 1 hour demo... try 15 minutes chump!" but then you'll keep playing it... and then you'll want more P vs. Z. *serious face* Quote
Deathtank Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 yes, totally hooks you, and btw Crrrrrazy Dave FTW!!! "because Im crrrazyyyy!!!!!!" Quote
Petara Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Hah! I love it! As far as the music goes... Chrono Trigger Sewers? http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/ctsewers.mid Quote
k-wix Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I've been completely addicted. The formula is really good, the game introduces new elements at an almost perfect pace, it really makes you want to complete the game and see what else they have in store for you, and there is quite a bit to do after your done with the story. Absolutely worth 10$. Quote
Faustt Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Eh it's okay. Doesn't have the same addictiveness as Peggle for me. My friend who recommended it to me wasn't able to stop playing until he unlocked everything. Oh casual games, how I loath your ability to consume hours of my life... Quote
Souliarc Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Just beat it I've been telling everybody about it and getting the facial expression "wtf?". I'm happy. Sometimes it's a good step back from next gen games. Quote
prophetik music Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 ah, it's so much fun. just wish they had a widescreen option - not to make the playing field larger, but to show some of the house and the street and all that. i don't like playing fullscreen games on my widescreen monitor. Quote
The Damned Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Wait, I got it. Some of the music seems like it's from one of the Castlevania games. I can't point out the specific game, but I can imagine playing the music from PvZ to footage of said game, and it fits for some reason. Mystery (partly) solved! Quote
Rozovian Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Knew about it since the Escapist's article about it. Tried it a few days ago. Loved it. Stupid demo, makes me like the game enough to plan to buy it. The music I remember seems to draw a bit on haunted house-type music. I'm already expecting remixes of it, perhaps gonna make one myself. Quote
Little_Bill Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I can safely say that my addiction wore off about a few hours in. Quote
WillRock Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Wow no kidding about it being addicting Good stuff better than I expected Quote

Chimpazilla Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 This is a very old thread. I'm reviving it (rather than starting a new one). I love this game. Love love love it. Soooo addicting. And the music is phenomenal I think. It was composed by a woman! (Laura Shigihara) I don't see any remixes of it... seems this would be hard to remix well, it is so good as it stands. Absolutely no new melodies or rearrangements come to mind as I listen to it. Thoughts? Quote
psychowolf Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Check dwelling of duels, they have remix in one of they Pc month, that is the only remix that i know of for pvsz http://dwellingofduels.net/dodarchive/10-06-Free_Month/05-Hat,%20Glove-Plants%20vs.%20Zombies%20(PC)-Lawn%20of%20the%20Dead-DoD.mp3 There hope that helps Quote
