Kinslayer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 so that's just as inaccurate as someone who likes Anime because the characters actually seem MORE human than they do in live action TV/Film? That's my main reason for liking anime, I like the characters better, and the themes...I only brought in the thought of realism because anime as a genre is alot more realistic than Bugs Bunny...geez, I was just making a point... And Brushfire, I'm sorry I got on your ass about it, okay bud... Quote
OverCoat Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I like mecha anime:roll: see? there we go, someone with a little sense, finally Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have plenty of sense...I just like anime for different things...I guess I'm just too deep a thinker for most people to comprehend. Quote
I-n-j-i-n Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I don't know about anime being realistic, but they have much more liberty to experiment than almost any other medium and still be accepted in the mainstream for it. Also, since it IS animation, there usually are none of the celebrity image politics game like in many actual TV shows. Though there's still some seiyuu/voice actor drama. Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 or the dubs have terrible actors...that's one of Anime's few downfalls...sometimes they pick the wrong people for voiceovers. Quote
TheSnowStorm Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Fictional pieces of media just HAS to have realism. Look it what that is doing to video games. Quote
Brushfire Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I didn't mean to sound like I was putting words in your mouth Yasha. I am just overly critical of everything. ANOTHER SOUNDSCAPE said it best when he said "You think everything sucks till it prooves itself good." Also Mecha anime is good when it is done right. And Gundam Wing is not right. Quote
DarkeSword Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I have plenty of sense...I just like anime for different things...I guess I'm just too deep a thinker for most people to comprehend. No, you aren't. Quote
Brushfire Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Anime, more like WAHHHHHHNIME. YUK YUK YUK YUK. Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 No, you aren't. If only Gluttony from FMA were real, I'd totally let him eat you... Quote
DarkeSword Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 If only Gluttony from FMA were real, I'd totally let him eat you... I'm sorry. That's too deep for me to comprehend. Quote
Malaki-LEGEND.sys Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Are you fucking five years old, Yashafan? Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 No I'm not 5 years old, I just edited the post because I was throwing knives at a certain pretentious, full of himself ass *cough*DarkeSword*cough* and I changed it because it was kind of harsh...I can't stand people that judge other people, and I especially can't stand people with their nose in the air...which, from what I hear alot on the forums is that pretentious, full of himself ass definitely thinks he's too good to even join a discussion without throwing an insult at someone. Brushfire Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Ever since I was a young boy, I played the Silver Ball, From Off Topic to the WIP boards, I must have played them all, I aint seen nothing like him in anime hall. That Yashafan d00d SURE PLAYS A MEAN PINBALL!! But no seriously, I was watching Rosario Vampire, and that shit sucks... ...Your blood... YUK YUK YUK Quote

You shouldn't throw rocks in glass houses. It looks like Darkesword is just calling it how it is heh. Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Nice rhyming Brushfire... but seriously, all debate with Darkesword aside, let's get back on topic and talk anime...does anyone have any recommendations from the new stuff that's worth watching? I haven't found an anime worth wasting time on in a while Quote
OverCoat Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Well it depends What are you looking for, action? slice of life? romance? it's hard to say just "anime" since it's not really a genre, it's just a medium. I mean I could tell you to watch what I'm watching, Sketchbook Full Color'S, but I dunno if you like slow meandering plot involving girls with social anxiety disorders and cats. I do though. so fucking cute I could just die Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I dunno, I'm gay, so I'd probably watch it...lolz...but seriously, I like a little action, some drama, some blood, and just enough of that cutesy anime flair to enjoy... Just curious, is Haruhi season 2 any good? I haven't really wanted to start it yet. Quote
OverCoat Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I like a little action, some drama, some blood, and just enough of that cutesy anime flair to enjoy... sounds like you're ready for Black Lagoon unless you've already seen it in which case ISNT IT TOTALLY AWESOME Quote
Kinslayer Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 cool, I'll give it a whirl sometime tonight then... (and what did you mean by giving zircon physical attention in the Mag thread?!) and just curious, are you a guy or a girl? Quote
