Freeware game coming onto Steam in a few days, top-down shooter that goes up to 4 player co-op and looks like it could be a bit of fun. Anyone else thinking of getting into it so we get a party or two together for some bug hunting?

I wouldn't mind getting into it if I thought my computer could handle it at all. I played the original Alien Swarm mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 back when it was new, so this will probably be at least as good.

I am highly looking forward to this game. I played the UT2K4 mod in my freshman year of college back in 2004. Maybe this game will put a dent into the huge Borderlands craze. I love borderlands btw.

I'm getting the hang of it, really hard to tell what's going on sometimes since the camera feels too zoomed in and you'll have projectiles shooting from off-screen, and it's very easy to get friendly fire. All in all it seems like some proper old school, really unforgiving game design with limited resources and no Call of Duty health regen bullshit.

It's always a good idea to announce when you're going to use a mining laser.

Yeah... try playing with a teammate who spins around while using the Flamethrower.

Finally got it up and running, if only at about 7 or 8 frames per second. Feels a lot like the original Alien Swarm, which is not at all bad.

I played through it twice in a row, I'm level 15, and yeah it took 4 hours, the game is short. I hope they add more campaigns. It's already longer and more enjoyable than left 4 dead though. x_x

This game looks good. The problem is that I don't have enough HD space to play it! GRRR!!!
