The Legendary Zoltan Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/112/1128118p1.html The mofos cancelled Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned. It looked like it was going to be the great pirate game ever made and they freaking cancelled it! NOOOOO! I assume it was a money problem because that game did sound like it was going to be expensive as heck to make. But GOD is that the disappointment of the year for me! I was looking forward to that game more than ALL the other PS3 games that are coming out. Quote

The Damned Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Well, they did use my name without permission, so I had to sue them. Quote
Damashii!! Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Back to playing Port Royal over and over in Kingdom Hearts II. That news made my day worse, but your comment made my day better again. but I admit that I'm going to have to do the same thing as well. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 When I saw the title, I was worried something remotely important might have been cancelled. Sorry to hear about your pirate game. Quote

tom1uphat Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I forgot about this game until I saw this. Now I'm disappointed about something I had already forgotten about. Quote
Malaki-LEGEND.sys Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Did it get a T rating? Disney doesn't appreciate anything they sell not getting an E rating. Quote
Hyperion5182 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Is this in any relation to the stalled production of the 4th pirates movie? Could they be shutting that down as well? I haven't heard much on it recently. Quote
The Legendary Zoltan Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 God, I hope not! I was looking forward to that as well. So they wouldn't really just throw out all that material that they had would they? The game must have been somewhat complete by the time they cancelled. Don't they have some way to not waste all that. It seems like they'd be wasting more money by cancelling a project so late in development than they would just releasing it and seeing what happens. They'd get SOME kind of return in that case, wouldn't they? Could someone who knows about marketing or game dev. enlighten me? Quote
