Jason Covenant Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Yeah I guess it took more time than expected for darke to finish moving. That could be. Darke's got things to do and this project is moving lightning fast compared to normal ones. Quote
C7 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I just hope to see it up soon! I really wanna hear what others did with an awesome source. I hope it happens this week at least. Quote
Ivan Hakštok Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I just hope to see it up soon! I really wanna hear what others did with an awesome source. I hope it happens this week at least. Likewise. Although I got a little bored of it after going through my mix some omfgjusttoomany times while working on it. Quote
orlouge82 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Well... unless I'm mistaken, he's working on like 3 albums right now. This, FFV, and the GRMRB one from last year. Not too sure about the last one though... D: The 2010 GRMRB Album was cancelled, unfortunately: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31160 Quote
Mirby Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Well that's still two albums, plus settling in to a new location. Plus all his mod duties. Shariq's a busy man. Quote
DarkeSword Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 It's out, check the first post. Quote
Nonamer Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Wow, this should be good. By tonight I should have Concrete Man's Theme stuck in my head. Quote
C7 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Freaking awesome! I can't wait to hear it all. Thanks for organizing all this and getting a whole album out in absolutely no time whatsoever! Quote
Nonamer Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I previewed some of the tracks and I think at least half of them are really great, in particular Jason Covenant and AkumajoBelmont's "Concrete Heart" (there isn't a AB song I don't like). I thought that a few of the songs were not as impressive (ie not OCR quality), but with some improvement and better quality they would suffice. Still for a project that was made on the fly, it was pretty good. Quote
Gollgagh Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 when darke makes a project, shit gets done, son Quote
DarkeSword Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Tell that to everyone waiting for FF5. >_> Quote
DaMonz Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 This is really awesome! Good job everyone! Quote
Ivan Hakštok Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Just quickly listened through it, amazing how much can be done with one source. Didn't expect any lyrics, last track surprised me xD Quote
SuperiorX Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 There are some really good tracks in here. The Jason Covenant & AkumajoBelmont, Flexstyle and Sir Nuts tracks are probably my favs. Great job for something put together so quick! Quote
AkumajoBelmont Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 HOLY SHIT ITZ OUUUUUTTTT! Fantastic! Quote
Jason Covenant Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 HOLY SHIT ITZ OUUUUUTTTT!Fantastic! YAYYYYYYYY Glad people are liking our collab. Clearly this means MOAR COLLAB. There are some really good tracks in here. The Jason Covenant & AkumajoBelmont, Flexstyle and Sir Nuts tracks are probably my favs. Thanks. Yea, I'd have to include Flexstyle's and Sir Nuts' tracks as being favorites as well. Quote
Mirby Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Ya know, I'm honestly a little surprised that Darke didn't sneak a track by himself in. Just sayin'. I mean, we have one track by an Ansari, but I would've thought that Darke would make one himself. Quote
psychowolf Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 As i expected. awesomeness, pure awesomeness, i'd love to hear the ones that wasn't put on the album, But all round great job by all who were featured in the E.P Quote
Sir_NutS Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 YAYYYYYYYYGlad people are liking our collab. Clearly this means MOAR COLLAB. Yes more collabs! Your song was awesome. Glad some people enjoyed mine as well, I had lots of fun with it. Overall I liked the EP and the quality is very good once you think about how these mixes were done in such a tight schedule. Quote
ad.mixx Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Dont have internet, so just now downloading this. Excited like crazy. Especially for flexstyle and sir nuts tracks Im starting to wish I spent a little more time on my track. I was listening to it a couple of days ago and thought of a lot of ways I couldve upped it quality wise. I can still hopefully try and get it to ocr standards down the road sometime. If anything. C7 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Huh. I guess my tastes aren't anything like the other posters'. My personal favorites were Rexy's (though one of the synths was a bit annoying, the style more than made up for it), Inflatable Arson's, Hakstock's, and DaMonz' tracks. They're all just so memorable and had a lot of neat stuff in them. Quote
wildarms007 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Am a little new to the processes. When a track or album is submitted to the judges is there a timeframe after that for an answer? It does not matter to me regardless. I hope that it makes it as the first EP release by OC. I have not seen an EP on the site before. Now to finish listening to the afore mention EP... Quote
Liontamer Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I hope that it makes it as the first EP release by OC. I have not seen an EP on the site before. Now to finish listening to the afore mention EP... This isn't an official OCR album, it's just a quick side project organized by DarkeSword. We've already had 4 "EPs" as albums: Castlevania: Sonata of the Damned, Final Fantasy V: The Fabled Warriors ~I. WIND~, Teen Agent: The Root of All Evil, and Mega Man: The Robot Museum. Technically speaking though, none of those albums (nor the Concrete Man EP) are shorter than 25 minutes or less than 5 tracks like the classic definition of an EP, so we still haven't released a classically-defined EP yet, even though we've had some shorter albums.
