Jillian Aversa Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Somebody help this poor fella out! I know we've gotten an Aussie call or two in the past, but don't know how it's done.
Abadoss Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I believe it involves using an international area code. I think the US is +001... (something like that)... The next best thing would be to call the operator and ask how it's done...
Kanthos Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/ should help you out.
zircon Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Hey! I just wanted to thank everyone here for voting this month. Not even a week ago we were considerably behind, but we put out the call and you guys responded in force. We are now back to #1 in Music/Radio and gaining more and more of a lead each day. So, once again, THANK you!
Less Ashamed Of Self Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Suck it CBEK. Suck it long. Suck it hard.

theras2000 Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Hey thanks for help. I found all I needed to do was drop the 1 from the 1800. Of course I then needed to add a 1 for America anyway. Mix on, Nato.

Martin Penwald Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Got back into the VGDJ thing with no.052 (nice show, though the music during the panel was hardly audible), and I hope to stay with it this time. Because the last eposide before that was 036 or something...
Jillian Aversa Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 There was no background music during the panel- just the original/remix example medley and the live performances. Is that what you're referring to? In any case, there's nothing we could do about that, but episode 053 will feature better audio from the event because we're releasing it as a videocast!

Is that what you're referring to? Yes, that was what I meant. In any case, there's nothing we could do about that I thought so.
CIaude Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 I just listened to VGDJ for the first time today.

Dhsu Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 So that's why zircon asked me for the source tune. I'm really surprised you didn't play "Terra in Black" though, that always seemed to be the biggest crowd-pleaser. Anyway, great panel, guys. P.S. pixie cosplayed as Asuka? PIX PLZ
Jillian Aversa Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 P.S. pixie cosplayed as Asuka? PIX PLZ Hehe, I think you heard wrong. I cosplayed as Nausicaa, last year. Didn't cosplay at all this year. Sowwwwyyyyy... ^_~ Welcome, Claude!

Flaillen Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I love this station, it's so addictive and entertaining to listen to. Otakon sounded fun form the last episode, glad that you chose to show off The Ken Song, Da Black Market and The Dragon Song...and all the other songs of course. Really great choices to show off some of the great talent to new people. Wish I could of gone, maybe next time I can make it out of England to check it out. Anyway, thank you Zircon and pixietricks for all the great entertainment.
Jillian Aversa Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Aw, thanks dude! Stay tuned for this week's Otakon videocast episode! ^-^
Audity Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 You should put How To Vote or something on the first page with super easy to follow instructions. Took me like 20 more seconds than it should have to find out how to vote! Oh no!
CE Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Pixie, I can't find the album at vgdj.net A little help?
DrumUltimA Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 It's not http://www.vgdj.net/album ? maybe zircon changed it to vgdj.net/alblum

Audity Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Listening to that last show was pretty good. However, you can barely hear the intensity of the songs. In fact, they sound 305982905x worse than ever -- every song sounds really offkey and just...the worst ever. Maybe the videocast will be better? And next time, you should play the Mario 1 bowser castle theme, and then...you know what to play from there I forget if there were any rock covers.

We wanted to keep in all the reactions from the audience in there during the medley to preserve the live feel, you know? The videocast WILL have better audio for that however, so don't worry.
